The town was mostly silent, many of the citizens would be starting to go to sleep, preparing for a fullfilling day. But not the Timbers. They worked at night, because- well, because they are bad guys duh. Roxy stands at the head table, her gaze falling on each of her gang members. She silently sizes them up, staying quiet for as long as possible just to make them uncomfortable. "I'm glad y'all could make it" she says, finally sitting down in her chair. "I do hope you weren't followed. I see some new faces here, why don't you introduce yourself?" She speaks kindly but her face is of pure boredom

Louis and Emerson are finishing up their work. They both expertly use their fire powers to bend mental into whatever shape they choose. Their preferred choice being a sword. While the metal is still hot they add special wires that work as temperature control. So powers such as fire and ice can use their sword to harness their ability

Sabrina had just woken up from a strange dream. She felt like she was pulled from another dimension, another world. I’m her dream she was attacked by someone, saved by a few people, attacked inside a tower, then found out that she was an elemental. That was crazy... She’d known her entire life that she was an elemental, but she never actually used her powers. And... who was Gran? She lived with her friend, not some random old lady. Strange... She got out of bed and stretched.

Bouncing his knee up and down a bit nervously, Queen glanced around the room as he regarded the other members of the gang. He knew better than to let other's looks deceive him but the woman who was leading the meeting looked to be in her late teens, early twenties; not much older than he was. He kept him mouth shut however, as being the first person to talk in any situation was not something Queen was fond of doing. He preferred to sit back and analyze, familiarizing himself with allies, targets, and would be enemies.

Swinging their rounded hammer down with measured force, Shion chipped away at their current project with a narrow chisel. Being commissioned for weaponry was rare these days with the appearance of Louis' weapons shop but Shion took what they could gratefully. Each spark of iron against steel twinkled in the darkened forge, shining brightly before dying away like stars in the night sky. Finishing his project, Shion set aside their tools to wipe sweat from their brow. These were times when they seriously regretted having long hair as even a bun couldn't stop the uncomfortable feeling of matted hair on sweaty skin.

After adjusting her eyes to the bright golden light of the sun filtering through her blinds, she got dressed into her normal clothes. A tattered white shirt with a few stains, a simple button-up jacket, and some tattered blue jeans. She put her dark hair into a messy bun and opened her door. Her friend was nowhere to be seen. They were probably already at their classes. She continued to have her usual morning, including the rare cup of coffee. No one was around to tell her she couldn’t. All throughout the morning, she kept thinking about her friend. She still hadn’t told her about what she could do... Should she tell her though? Nah, it was best for her not to know. She picked up the newspaper that her friend had left out on the counter. She usually didn’t read the newspaper, but this one looked interesting. She spotted something about a weapons shop. Weapons? Was that even legal? She shrugged and decided to take a mental note on that. Maybe she would check it out...

Roxy didn't expect anyone to speak right away. In fact, she preferred it. It meant that they were scared, as long as she took authortive action, they would continue to follow her and hopefully dare not turn on her. She leans forward, once again staring at all of them without speaking. She realizes a lot of her gang if fairly young, that could be bad. The younger the more rebellious, but that didn't mean that the eldest ones were any less of a risk.

Wiping sweat from his brow Louis sneaks a look out the window. He jumps in surprise realizing that it was dark. "Emerson, we should close shop for the night" he points out. He opens a window to let in some cool air. Unlike Emerson, he cannot handle lots of heat, he doesn't have the power of lava flowing through his veins. From the open window he can see Shion's shop. He much likes Shion's shop. The work was hard, but it must've been harder on Shion doing it by hand

After finishing her weopon, which was a spear, she stretches. It wasn't easy constantly using her powers all day. "I suppose we should" she answers as she places the wire, not entirely focuced on him

Sabrina was about to walk out of the door before she saw how dark it was. Strange... wasn’t it morning a few minutes ago? Maybe it was that weird dream... Maybe it was making her see stuff that wasn’t there. She shrugged and decided to take a walk. She liked how cool it was during the night. It always set a good mood for her, take her mind off of all those weird thoughts she had. The dog tag around her neck made small metallic clinks as she walked. She wore it because it was the only thing she had from her mother, even if she knew nothing about her. She began to frown. She didn’t like to think about this topic much, it made her think bad about herself. She put on a smile and kept walking, smelling a bit of smoke from the shop.

No one was talking. Gnawing his lip, Queen glanced over at Roxy. She seemed pleased with this silence which Queen, for the life of him could not fathom. Talking was much better. Get others to relax and he could manipulate them however he wanted without causing any suspicion. The more tight lipped someone was, the more frustrating it would be for Queen. Information was king after all and Queen needed his king. Meeting Roxy's gaze for a few short seconds, Queen ultimately adverted his gaze. No need to incite any suspicion towards him and his potential insubordination this early on.

Hanging up their apron and tools, Shion dusted filaments off the floor and generally tidied up the area. Their power of stardust wasn't very useful in this line of work. Fire was much more preferred and efficient, producing results that could never be replicated by hand but Shion loved the process of creating, of crafting, of giving life to metal and ore. Their powers could theoretically be used in the final stages to add more reinforcement and a glossy, sparkling finish but the thought of imbuing their works with their own elemental powers wasn't very appealing. What was the use of a flashy finish when more time could have been used to refine and fine tune the work itself? Shion preferred practicality over presentation.

The streets became silent over time. She looked at her watch, seeing how late it was. She was never out this late, but might as well keep walking. She saw 2 shops in the distance, one looking similar to the one in the newspaper. Were they closed? She figured they were, since it was so late. She decided to go to the other shop, see what they had. She wanted to become a reporter some day, so might as well start now.

Putting away everything, Shion yawned and closed the forge door behind them. The main shop area was deserted and the two lights that the area had still shone on. Sighing, Shion began to take stock and inventory. They'd have to reforge whatever was sold or lifted off the shelves. Unsurprisingly, that happened a lot. Shion supposed it was the downside to only having one other employee besides themself to run the store

She continued to walk towards Shinon’s shop, wondering if they would be annoyed if she went up to them this late. She wasn’t trying to be rude, she just wanted something to do.

After finishing their inventory check, Shion sighed and looked around. Their part time hire should still be around...... Moving behind the counter, Shion crouched down to see the second member of the shop tucked under the desk, sound asleep. Chuckling, Shion squeezed themself into the small space to scoop the young hire up in their arms. Moving the the break room, they set their hire down on the only free couch available and threw a blanket of the sleeping adolescent. Shion would come back to wake the kid up later but for now, Shion would continue to work a while longer before closing up and walking the kid back home

She got close to the shop, enough to see through the windows. From what she could tell, no one was in there, but the lights were still on. Should she come back tomorrow? The considered the option, since it would be pretty silly to just enter the shop, as some questions, then leave close to closing hours. She shrugged and turned around, deciding it would be best to head to a convenience store to get some snacks rather than a weaponry. She didn’t even need a weapon.

Louis carries the weopons to the back while Emerson focuses on cleaning the store. The two don't make a lot of money from this gig. Mainly because the weopons only appealed to Elementals, who usually didn't need weopons anyway. But nonthless they enjoyed what they were doing. Once all the work was done they could finally close the store. After locking all the doors and windows they move out to the streets. They both don't speak until they make it to Louis's house, which is just down the street. Louis doesn't admit it, but he is ready to collapse at any moment. It was a huge strain to be using his powers that much. But Emerson holds herself up strong, she is the more powerful of the two.
"I'll see you tomorrow then" Louis says as a farewell. They exchange a few glances, silently having a conversation. They've been friends since they were small and can both understand eachother without the need to speak.
"You shall...tomorrow should be a relaxing day now that we are stocked up on weopons" she reassures him. Waving goodbye she turns the other way to walk herself home.

Sabrina was on her way to the store when she noticed 2 people talking, seemingly saying farewell for the night. She smiled as she turned her head away and cheerfully skipped to the store. She was the more cheerful type, one that wouldn’t let anything bring her down in the dumps. She didn’t like the path she was on when she was younger, so she decided to turn her life around. It wasn’t easy, but at least she made almost every situation happy.

Looking out the store window, Shion could see Louis and Emerson walking home and sighed. It was probably time for them to close up as well. Walking over to their part timer, Shion leaned over to couch to wake the kid up so they could both go home for the day. This however seemed useless as the teenager was fast asleep. After a few tries, they gave up and moved to grab a blanket. Flipping the store sign over to closed, Shion yawned and shoved most of the shop's clutter under the front desk, flipped off all the lights, and went into the back room to lean against the couch. Although they doubted that they could actually fall asleep but they closed their eyes anyways.

Kela Ravenoir shuffled in her seat, the white petticoats on her gown ruffling gently on the floor like a thousand whispers. God, the quiet sure spoke about how anxious and fidgety all the new faces got in Roxy’s presence. Not that they did not have a reason of course - Roxy was a mystery, and a dark one at that. She was always up to no good, one way or another, and she had methods to make ends meet. Not that those methods were in any way good.

She looked up around the room at the other people, and cleared her throat, finding it suddenly dry and hoarse. “Kela Ravenoir.”

Roxy looks over at Kela, respect filling her gaze. She smiles at the girl and gives a curt nod. "Glad to have you here" she leans back in her chair and places her feet on the table. She raises an eyebrow at the remaining members. "Why is everyone so timid?" She asks, her voice carrying a mocking tone. "I allowed every one of entrance in this meeting for a reason. If you didn't deserve to be here you would be dead. Embrace this acceptance, you all will serve a crucial role in the Timbers"

Raising an eyebrow, Queen leaned forward intrigued. Kela, hm? His lips twitched up into a half smile, keen eyes observing the timid girl. She was interesting and Queen could see she was nervous. Perhaps even shy around so many people. His brain offered a suggestion to extend friendship towards her. If he could slowly acclimatize her to the group, while first building the scaffold of trust with her, she could most likely stick close to him, providing a mutually beneficial arrangement of companionship. He could become the buffer between her and the rest of the world and he would gain an ally, one who would stick by him closely if he played his cards right.

He jumped slightly when Roxy placed her feet up on the table, flinching at the loud noise. Raising an eyebrow at the mocking tone Roxy had, Queen opened his mouth to meet the challenge head on before finding that his voice had mysteriously left him. His lips and tongue formed the correct shapes but no sound came out save for a soft exhale. Was it fear that stole his ability to speak? Of maybe perhaps reverence for someone who Queen was starting to see as someone who was clearly stronger than him in every way. Either way, he licked his lips, gathering his courage and steeling his nerves once again.

“Alraune Queen, at your service.” He murmured eventually, inclining his head politely.

Roxy laughs at that, shaking her head. "What am I? A queen?" She barks, putting her feet back down on the table she leans forward to stare at Alraune. "While I love the enthusiasm I'm not stupid. None of you are here simply because you want to help me. All of you have something to gain from this cause, and you are using me to get it" she looks around to watch everyone's reactions. "Think about it his way, we are all a team working towards a common goal, but mark my words" an icy chill fills the room as she releases a bit of her power. "No one is gonna stand in my way to get what I want" she realizes the absurdness of her sudden anger. But if this scared everyone into backing down against her then it's worth it.

“With all due respect ma’am, I am Queen.” Queen muttered humorlessly to himself under his breath. Yes, Roxy was scary. She had the power to also back up her claims but Queen’s role was to lighten the mood. That’s what it has always been and what it will continue to be for the foreseeable future. While he wasn’t opposed to working with others, he shared the same sentiment as Roxy. He had his own goal in mind he would stop at nothing to accomplish it. While he didn’t think that his interests clashed with anyone in the group, he was still cautious. Better to be safe than dead.
