Looking away shyly, Albafica shook his head. "I don't want to hurt you guys." He mumbled twisting himself into odd shapes underwater. "It's dangerous for you guys to get close to me..."

"Don't say those things about my trainer!" Blaze snapped. "You don't know him! You never even met him! The way I see it you're being a big mean meanie pants and I don't like it! You can say whatever you want about me but no one hurts my trainer!"

"We're all dangerous Pokemon on our own right." Katu replied. "And so far, you haven't hurt the weakest member of our group, but rather saved his life. I would say that you also saved the trainers, and restrained enough not to hurt them although you were physically handling them."

"I-... It's not like that." He protested weakly. He was weird. Odd. Unnatural. He always attracted all the predators and mean humans. Everyone also ran away when he poked his head out from the water. All the other Milotics he had meet were so calm and collected, able to quell the worst of arguments but Albafica was nothing

"Then what's wrong?" Katu asked, doing her best not to seem frustrated. She was just so confused! What else could there be? It wasn't like the Milotic could easily harm them, they were composed of Pokemon who had been in their fair share of battles, the Fennekin aside. "I'm sorry. I don't see what the issue is." She tried, it sounded more diplomatic.

Blaze flinched away. Small sparks of flames began to gather around him, his moveset reacting to his abilities. "D-don't say that! You don't get to choose what others do. You don't get to choose what I do. I want to help my trainer too! A-and you can't stop me!"

Hesitating, Albifica curled up into himself showing how his underbelly was completely devoid of scales. "Everyone always goes after me..." He explained, flicking the water with his tail. "I don't... I don't want anyone else to get caught up in it... The water helps too.... I don't like going on land... In the end, I'll end up hurting you guys.... I don't want that..." He dipped his lower half back into the water and swam off to the side.

Aino who had returned from the forest made a pass in the town. Not seeing the Espeon and Absol from before, he clicked his beak and tried to find them. It took a while as the beach was the last place he would look but once he did, he found newcomers among them. Alighting beside Auroura he gently set his own trainer in the shade

Katu sighed. "I understand. You don't want to get us hurt, and you don't want to be chased after. I'll respect your wishes, then." She turned to walk away, only now noticing the fight between Blaze and Tenshi.

"I'm not going to! But you're the only ones doing anything!" Blaze stomped a paw on the hot sand, heating it up. He was all but prepared to fight at this point, although he knew for certain that he was going to lose. He was just going to take the insults laying down, but that changed when the Absol decided to criticize his trainer.

A part of him was unsure if he really wanted them to leave like that. Albifica was a protector, not a coward. He just didn't want to hurt anyone and it seemed that that's all that he ever did. Swimming around just to try and gather his thoughts, he wondered if he should try and get out of the water. Those scabs surely must have healed by now a part of him rationalized but he still was doubtful. He moved closer to shore, confused as to why the Fennekin he had saved and an Absol were fighting. In his mind, this only solidified his ideology that he only hurt others that came near him

Blaze growled. "Oh yeah? That's real funny! Coming from someone who doesn't do anything but push around the blame and bully Pokemon weaker than you!"

Katu sighed. "I'm really sorry, I think I need to break those two up now." She muttered, heading for the two arguing Pokemon. She noticed an Aloan Ninetales standing to the side. She could see Blaze about to attack. The sand underneath their feet moved, Katu using sand attack to shift the ground and destabilize both Blaze and Tenshi. It was enough to cut their gathering energy, but not enough to make Tensi fall.

Blaze, predictably, fell flat on his face.

"Espeon!" Blaze greeted. "Tell the meanie pants-"

"If you fall into the water again, I will let you drown." Katu deadpanned. "And if you continue not helping, I will not help you, either."

"What? But-"

"Blaze. Your trainer is young. He doesn't understand what he's saying, and you need to understand that the rules he taught you may no longer apply. And for the love of Arceus, stop provoking Pokemon stronger than you!"

"I don't shift blame around! I was the one helping while you were playing in the sand!" Ignoring Katu, Tenshi charged her horn again and leaped Blaze, her mega stone starting to glow. He had hit her hard, and he would pay for it.

Slightly confused as to what was going on, Aino recognized that it wasn't an ideal situation and took in a deep breath. Using sing, he planned to pull the two into a quiet sleep. It wouldn't solve the problem but it would at least prevent a fight from breaking out just yet.

Albifica flinched as the two Pokemon started fighting. It was his fault wasn't it? If he left would they stop?

"What did you say to her, seriously!" Katu demanded.

"Nothing she didn't deserve!"

"Well clearly you've done something!" Katu growled, the stone on her forehead lighting up with Psychic energy. She had focused mostly on that single ability in her youth, and it was paying off. She picked up Blaze in a field of energy, throwing him slightly further away than necessary.

This Fennekin, I swear... if I can't calm the Absol down, I might just have to let her have him! I can't fight a mega evolution!

"Ow!" Blaze shrieked as Katu threw him away from the fight. He skidded for a few moments against the sand, landing close to the Milotic. He got back up.

"Oh! You're the one that helped me!" Blaze squirmed, recognizing the sing ability. He had been on the receiving end a few times. "Could you... could you help again? I'm sorry for asking, but..."

Tenshi tried to block out the sing. "Lucky for you I can control myself in mega form." After Blaze had been thrown away, Tenshi had finished her mega evolution, still angry. The fur on her head dropped to cover one eye over, wing-like fur sprouted out of her torso, and her blades were sharper and more dangerously curved, like knives. Taking deep breaths, she began to calm down, but she still wanted to punch someone.

Looking quizzically at Blaze, Aino opened his beak and continued to sing. Tenshi still looked tense and he didn't want anyone to fight. That would be unbecoming of a contest Pokemon like him.

Albifica gently moved away and onto the beach, wincing when the sand chaffed against his scars. "maybe you should calm down?" He suggested softly trying to keep his distance. After all he still thought he was the cause of the scuffle in the first place

Katu slowly stepped away from the mega Absol. She thought that the transformation would have failed, seeing as the Absol didn't currently have a trainer, but she had been wrong. Thankfully, Tenshi seemed to be focused on Blaze, and only Blaze. Katu hoped that the Milotic would be able to calm those two down.

Blaze, for once, did the smart thing and didn't say anything. He laid in the sand, and wished that his trainer would come back. They were so close to finally getting through their first gym!

The Milotic did not help them calm down. Instead he retreated into the waters to sulk. He felt guilty about the fight, not being able to quell it as fast as other Milotics could, perhaps even being the cause of the fight. He felt awful and he wondered if he really did bring misfortune like Absol's were rumoured to bring.
