This is a really good post! Not saying that I agree with EVERYTHING said here (but I don’t disagree) but I like how you shared you viewpoints of the site, shared honesty, and how you weren’t holding any opinions back, afraid you might get in trouble! Thank you for sharing your honest opinions!

Do not spam forums. If you do not have anything useful to add to the thread, then do not post anything.

>> -mystery, xXMysticXx, & AliceAngle*Sweets*
No one will get banned for stating their opinions and fears for others on this site, the fact you think you will makes believe you all have the wrong ideas about mods.
Put yourselves in their shoes.
- Look over every forum post to make sure it does not conflict with laws and site rules, or the site TOS.
- Keep an eye out for a user's profile changes to see if there's something inappropriate for children there.
- Scour the GTS for people making trades against the rules or possibly scamming newer users.
That's just a fraction of what they do each day. They have outside lives too.

Now, allow me to retort.

1. Rules - Disagree
The rules on this site are to protect everyone more than anything. Some problems will be solved right away depending on the situation, be it danger or possible trouble. Some things, such as users spamming the forums or the plethora of posts that happen each day, are very hard for mods to notice. Think about how many posts happen in one day, and the mod's job is to go through each post and make sure things happen. Other users, such as yourself, need to report these things to the mods to help them notice because there is too much going on.
Not to mention they have every day lives on the outside world to worry about as well. Sometimes a family member will pass away and the mod will lose interest for everything for a week. Sometimes one of them may fall sick. These things happen, and they cannot be here every day of their lives. No one can. And if you do, then you need to step away from the computer since it's an unhealthy lifestyle.

2. Behavior - Extremely Disagree
I have NO CLUE where you get this idea. The mods do not take pride in being mods. Ever. They are completely open and willing to help any user that asks for it. And yes, they do have to put up with the same old questions each and every day, because users don't understand there's a Wiki out there, or a FaQ thread. I guarantee a mod get asked the same "How do I do this" question every day. It's bound to get a little old, sure, but never do I see them lash out at people or have an arrogant aura.
For the sake of this thread, I will say something about the mods of PokeFarm. They are literally the worst people I have ever met. They have the most arrogant, egotistical, vile auras of people I have ever met. The mods of Pokeheroes? Nicest mods from any of the multiple sites I browse. They are kind, willing to help everyone, and chastise the rule breakers in very soft ways.
I've spoken with a handful of mods, and never have I had a problem with a single one of them.
Their "nasty aura" is in your head.
You are completely wrong on this subject.

3. Suggestions - Neutral
Have you ever done HTML / Website / complex coding? It's difficult and takes hours to make one component of a multi-component basis to work. Especially when you need to implement it with other things that causes bugs and technical glitches. Riako does his best because it's so time-consuming, and can't add every single feature that a user demands since it may not be compatible with something else on this site.
As for the events, I'm not sure where you come from on this. They've done plenty of events I enjoy. The Electrode one was pretty and clever. As well as the Lighthouse Nosepass, very witty and creative. Something you don't see on other Pokemon sites. If you don't enjoy the events, then don't go after them. Simple as that. There can't be events based around all the stereotypical favorite Pokemon since there are already a few of the popular Pokemon. I personally like the fact they use the uncommon Pokemon to make them a tad more special.

4. Criticism - Extremely Disagree
I've never seen this happen on the site. Anywhere.
I've never seen anyone complain about what the staff create. Ever.
I've never seen a complaint of criticism. Anywhere.
And I've never seen a staff member angrily retort to someone for it. Ever.
If they have ever actually said it, then I agree with their statement. If you don't like what you see, oh well. It's already there and implemented into the website. Complaining about it now won't do you any good. There's no point in trying to edit something when it's released. Constructive criticism is helpful, while complaining is not. MANY people don't understand the difference.
"I don't like it, it looks ugly." - Complaint, does not help anything, it's whining like a child.
"The outlines look odd, and the colors could be a little more vibrant, but it looks great otherwise." - Criticism, helps the artist/spriters/coders know what they did good and what they should work on next time. More criticism helps the person better understand where they went wrong and how to fix it.
Not everyone will be pleased with everything, no matter how much it's fixed. And the mods/staff on this site know that. They needed to accept that when they first took the job.

5. Sprites - Disagree
This point honestly shouldn't be put in here. You even state the quality of them have gotten better. Keep in mind those sprites were added in a while ago, with different spriters and programs than what we have today. Regardless, when you look at a sprite, the point of it is to understand what Pokemon it represents and how it looks in pixel art. Not meant to be a perfectly detailed work of art, or even really put too much thought behind it if it looks strange. It's there to represent a digital Pokemon owned by a user, not a work of art to be critiqued. If you have a problem with it, make your own and suggest it as a replacement, probably in the "Suggestions" forums to see how much users like yours compared to the one on Pokeheroes.
Being a spriter that people apparently like, I took a look at the sprite myself in my editing program, and I find nothing wrong with the sprite. I get what it's meant to look like, enjoy the shades and outlines of it, and even enjoy the design of the Mega from how different it is to the original Pokemon.

The mods are selectively kind, which you can’t be as a moderator of a site. They may be sweet to you, but not all. I’ve seen both sides so I can’t disagree at all. Finally a nicely written complaint((:

I honestly have seen them interact with other users. Plenty of times. None of those times are unkind in any manner.
This is coming from someone who doesn't have a mod as a friend. My friends have never complained about them, and I genuinely have never seen another user complain unless they were in trouble for breaking a rule of some sort and got butthurt over it.
If someone had any proof over these problems, then it would be a different story. But again, I'm not seeing any so far. Just people agreeing.

I’ve never had a warning, I’ve been friends with certain mods before aswell and passed ones who dislike most of the ph team now because of certain things they’ve done.. I’ve been here awhile and it may not be on feeds, but plenty in messages to myself and others they have been condescending and have had acted as stated. I’ve seen plenty of proof and stuff myself, but with how you are approaching the subject I’m sure not many would want to go out of their way to provide you the proof. Sorry mystery I’ll stop spamming here now lmfao

Thank you, I like that yours fits your username~
Spam? Ignore it, report it to a mod and wait until they can resolve the situation.
Oh, and laugh at the immaturity because it's funny. Find humor in everything, that's the secret to staying happy at negativity in life. Or in my opinion, at least.

>> -mystery
Thank you for replying in a normal manner compared to the children who were throwing a fit in my feeds.

1-
Yes, there are six mods. Six mods for the possible 138,096 registered users on this site. It's a lot to think about. You think it's high but that's a very small amount. Pokefarm has 25. And they have moderator applications going since the number is already low as it is, and at this moment I was wishing I applied as well seeing how the site is.
I honestly don't know what started the drama today, oof. I do agree that the mods seem to be very sluggish in their operating times lately, but that could be for a multitude of reasons as well keep in mind. That's the reason six is not enough mods.

2-
I understand where you're coming from on that, but you shouldn't have included it as a point. You only believe they have that aura, when really you're probably just intimidated since they technically have power over you. Which is true for most people, they fear their employers since they can fire them at any time. Same with mods, who can ban you at any time. But they won't because these mods don't go out of their way to be rude.
And I never said they were angels. They could slap puppies outside the site and we would never know, I don't know if they're angles, and really I couldn't care. I see their patience and kindness, and once in a while the times when they want to blow up and scream but they hold their tongue and reply calmly and professionally. That's all that I need to know about a mod who I think will do their job proper.

3-
I won't confirm if it's hard or not, I only know the basics and even then have problems with it. Some people have that natural eye for it, and maybe Riako isn't one of them. Who knows? Maybe that's why he just took so long on some features, he was having trouble with the coding or implementing it correctly. There are also limits and possible exploits to have something go terribly wrong and I know fool-proofing is the thing that takes the longest before releasing.
I'll agree on that, I might be in the minority. Especially since I'm one of the few who can't stand Pikachu or Eevee. But I also proper haven't seen complaints per se. If someone dislikes them, they never say it. Publicly or to me, at least.
the point of events to add something new to the site, not hype everyone up. And no. Not every person will like the events. Not everyone likes everything that comes out. Solgilyph, Heartomb, Knight Axew, Dark Ponyta... There is a margin for every event out there that some people will not like. It's impossible to make something that every single person will like. The ideas for coming up with them are just as incredibly difficult. How did someone come up with a lighthouse combined in a Pokemon? Who knows! It's not easy to come up with events, and even harder to make people like them. All will hit or miss, but some people will still like some of them.

4-
Of course not. It may very well happen and that's why everyone is putting such a stink up about this. But I don't see any proof, nor have I seen it happen in the year I've been on this site. Which is every day since I have no life. If someone would show a screenshot or something along those lines, then I can see the issue. But I still haven't seen it, honestly.
Criticism is allowed, I wasn't stating that it isn't. Negativity is a part of life, can't really ban that unless it's to actually hurt someone. But at the same time, that criticism makes it feel like you're talking to an artist who does landscapes and telling them to do fruit instead. It can't always happen, and it can't always be replaced as requested. If some of those critiques were denied, more people would throw a fit. It can't always happen, despite what people want, so they do get acknowledged, just nothing can be done about it.
Complaining is wrong. Asking for a specific change and stating why is okay. Complaining is just whining about something because someone doesn't like it. Asking for change is what makes things work better.

5-
You're quite alright, I can see your issue and salty is a good motivator for debates or points in an argument.
But... who said anything about this being a high quality browser game? It's just a game. If you think it's high quality, well then awesome! If not, well, eh, Pokeheroes never stated it was high quality. It's just a game. A game by people. People make mistakes. I highly suggest you put that in suggestions and promote it. Because on a few sprites, I agree with you, they could be redone.
"Big Brain Moment" I love that <3
Yes, I saw it as interpretation two, I didn't think it was a body part. But maybe I just see things different? Or maybe because I'm a spriter I understood what they were going for.

I'm not saying you yourself are wrong, just the way everyone is ragging on the mods when they could be cut a break. It's not easy and most people don't know that. They just assume something is wrong when there could very well be a deeper story behind why the mods aren't moving as fast as they normally should.

And yes, thank you for making this a debate rather than screaming at anyone who disagrees with you. It's good to try and see both sides of things. You did very good on your own debate by the way~
I will say you've inspired me to apply for a mod when the applications open, I would like to help problems since the mods do seem busy lately.

Oh. And here's your proof. I could very well have been banned for this, but a mod was kind enough to warn me and give me a second chance. It was also said in a very professional manner, while still keeping kind and not intimidating.

Can anyone show me proof they had a bad experience with a mod, if they have any?

>>inconsistent enforcement of rules

Yes. This has been a complaint since four years ago, and probably even more than that. In fact, a lot of criticism and inconsistency followed the September 2018 update and September 2016 updates. Mods were already somewhat showing preference before that, of course, but it was generally not in the interest of any major ban, strike or otherwise. It likely is not as big of a problem as you are making it out to be.

>>unprofessional behaviour

Now I'm not sure about this, but some time ago - a year or two - it went around the mods weren't actually receiving any form of compensation for their time. Not even a premium account (if you check CatLady's profile, you'll see what I mean. This isn't a professional position, it a voluntary position. While this in no way means that mods are free to act unprofessional, and I've personally never seen a mod act as you suggest, please keep that in mind. You can't pit them up against customer service help lines, y'know? And I've never seen a mod be salty so yeah.

Tbh, I do agree that the current mods aren't capable of handling it all. Riako, in my personal opinion, would do well to find more mods in the userbase.

>>userbase not being listened to

A lot of things in Pokeheroes are the result of user suggestions and complaints - the GTS, for example, is a completely revamped system compared to what it was some time ago, based off of a lot of complains and suggestions form the userbase.
