Bri genuinely could not get up. He was awake but the Sheer Cold did quite the number on him. He laid awkwardly on his elbow on the cave floor.

Zexion was waiting still in the cave and quickly went to work to catch anyone who came out from the distortion. "What's going on?!" He demanded, hastily scrapping together some medical supplies. It was mostly strips of cloth he had torn from his jacket and bowls of cool water.

Grabbing Mara's wrist, Isa tugged her towards the distortion. "We'll get another chance!" He shouted, trying to drag her back.
