Spiri was still awake while fused. She had no control over what happened in the physical world. but she knew a trick that she used to annoy Lia when they were younger. A voice spoke inside Lia's head. "Lia..long time, no see.." Spiri couldn't keep the poison out of her voice

Lía followed Kuma and asked, “Sorry to interrupt, but what should I do with the Reshiram?”
Afterwards Lia talked with Spiri, “ I missed you, why haven’t you considered joining us? It’s safer, and most of us aren’t brainwashed, that is my case at least, I surrendered and will be loyal to them.” He looked at the mask, the proof of his loyalty.
Mel are the seed, she felt better and managed to say “ Thanks, whoever you are” she closed her eyes again and went to sleep.

The words flowed from his mouth unbridled but false as he had read them. Or at least attempted to.

Lía went to a cell, one of the clean, and free of traps. She unfused with Spiri and locked her in the cell. “ Don’t try to escape, this one was made just for you.” she took a deep breath and said, “ Maybe we can talk calmly now.”

Spitting out a tooth, Eraqus grimaced and staggered to their feet. Their heart wasn't even in the fight anymore, their brain trying to remember the contents of the letters they were sent every year. Looking back, They realized that it had been a constant. Something that Eraqus could coins on to arrive every year, a marker of sorts.
