Choking, Eraqus snarled is fustration. They were at a disadvantage fighting in the distortion realm and they felt a prick of regret in picking a fight with Gira. Grasping the tendril, Eraqus froze it and using his legs, broke the tendril before landing on their feet with a few coughs. "Interesting..." they murmured with a grimace.

"That sounds like you're flirting with me." They bared their teeth in a grimace, coughing. "But I suppose I'll take the complement." They were dying and they knew it. It seemed like their words really were for show but deep down, in a place that Eraqus knew was still themself, they were okay with that. They were confident that Gira hadn't forgiven them for what they had done but still had the strength to move forward. They were proud of that and no amount of brainwashing could change it
