Sniping is so stupid in my opinion. Let the community get more out of their auctions. I would like to see bids add a small amount of time to an auction to stop someone from stealing it at the last second?

Or just put a good enough bid on something to the point where sniping is less desirable for others to do if you want the Pokémon that much?

No support.

I honestly love the concept of sniping. Have I lost pokemon because of it? Yes. Is it thrilling? Yes.

I don't like sniping, but basically locking the auction for a couple seconds before it ends won't work since people will just start sniping right before it gets locked

I agree with all three of you. There’s no way to completely stop sniping. It will be done and there’s no way around it. When there’s a will, there’s a way.

(That just made me think of the song “waiting for love”)

Also, just imagine. Really rich person spots something they want. Boom bid. Another rich person snipes. Boom a never ending auction. Then, whoever made the auction is rich.

I'm gonna have to agree with SilverStar up there ahah

Sniping can definitely be aggravating sometimes, especially if you're going after a Pokemon that you really want/need, but it's honestly just become an exhilarating part of the game. A system like this could easily be abused, and if you think people might just stop bidding in the last second, then I'd argue that they'd just snipe before the point then the timer adds seconds.

I've had plenty of auctions sniped from me, and I've done the same thing myself. Whoever is bidding on the adopt obviously really wants it, so it's just one of those parts of the game that can either be really fun, or really aggravating- the auction house is both, and I'm perfectly content with that.

this has been suggested before if i remember correctly?

also:
like many other sad, there is a solution: just do a big bid if you want to ensure to win an auction...making auctions last longer when bids get put on them ruins it for those users, who can only be there when the auction ends for a small amount of time and if you snipe it shows that you really want the poke because sniping is some extra-effort.

sniping also allows users who dont have that many pd to get pokes without spending everything they have to make sure they win ---> therefore no support

Title: Sniping is ok

Sniping is just a way for me to not let any untouched auctions be untouched. Someone worked for a Pokemon, sold it, and hoped for the best.

It wouldn't do anything. It just adds more time to snipe. That is, if I'm interpreting this correctly.

Sorry but no support.
The whole point of an auction is to get the desired object, in this case pokemon, before the timer runs out and before everyone else.

Yes it can be annoying if users snipe but it's not the end of the world, there will always be pokemon for sale.

I have lost many auctions through sniping and it is very thrilling! If you try to take away sniping, you'll remove the thrill. :)

Due to the overwhelming amount of "no support" [and the fact that sniping simply is part of an auction], this suggestion will be locked and moved to rejected.
