So, On PFQ, there is an exp lock to prevent the Pokémon from getting EXP. I am sure we all had that moment when we accidentally adopted an egg and don’t have the money for the storage. What I’m saying is, we should be able to lock an egg’s exp so we won’t absolutely destroy our chain

especially when you’re hunting an event with no premium

No support because that is part of the function of egg storage and it wouldn't be as wanted/needed/bought otherwise.

Is this bc of YOUR mistake with your hunt? You need to be more careful and just invest in some egg storage. This is also what safe mode is for...

Sadly no support
We are not pokefarm sadly and yes, safe mode is there as well to protect you from adopting the egg.So it's kinda on you on your on your end for accidentally adopting that egg.We also have egg storages (but yes they are expensive) so just be careful when adopting eggs

No Support

Literally the reason for egg storage existing; and before that: you had to be super-duper careful to keep your chain intact.

If this were implemented, then why would we even keep Egg Storage as a feature?

No support, sorry.
I've had this problem too, where I've adopted The wrong egg and accidentally broke my chain. But we all make mistakes.
The reason for egg storage is to store eggs. If there were an EXP lock if you had an oopsie and clicked the wrong egg/accidentally adopted an egg then that's on you.
If this were implemented it'd also make the egg storage useless.
There Is also safe mode, as stated by many users, to prevent this from happening
I never change this

I would love an exp lock tbh, not necessarily for eggs but for special pokemon that i don't want to evolve but yet i want them to hold a specific item. If they don't hold everstones however they evolve.

massive support, it's too GD expensive to buy egg storage, and this would definitely help for those who don't have money to keep buying egg storages

and also, WTH is safe mode?

Sorry, no support.

1. Renders Egg Storages completly useless

2. Its kind of a personal mistake

3. Since its originally from Pokefarm, it might be copying if its added here.

No support, as stated prior, it defeats the purpose of two already existing functions: safe mode and egg storage.

As for the egg storage being expensive, be more careful as to what you adopt, (although the lab doesn't have a yes/no option; why would you be in the lab while shiny hunting anyway?? [Unless you're doing the lab only shiny hunt..-]), with the safe mode on, it gives you a check as to if you want to accept that egg. :x

Mhmm - Safe Mode makes daycare say, "Are you sure you'd like to adopt this egg?" and so you need to 1) Click the egg, and then 2) click "YES" to be able to adopt the egg :x
If you have it turned off that's a personal choice you must acknowledge and nobody else's fault but yours-

I also give no support for reasons stated.

Its YOUR fault if you adopt an egg from the lab when you're on a hunt, not an expensive egg storage's fault.

And agreeing with Humbloom, we aren't on PokeFarm. If you love PokeFarm's features so much, just play there.

Just put on Safe Mode if you don't already have it on, and maybe set some PD aside for an emergency Egg Storage.

If you have chosen to shiny hunt, you take into account the risks of adopting the wrong eggs, and at least be careful with what you adopt. I can understand it ca be sad when you have no Pd and adopt a chain-breaking egg, but this would decrease the value of the egg storage.

No support at all!

This would completely nullify the egg storage, like other people had said before. Users with egg storages might feel as if their PD was wasted (unless, of course, they want to hunt a legendary, which a minority of users do). Also, if an exp lock were implemented for Pokemon too, this would basically make everstones useless.

First of all, there is no exp lock for eggs on PFQ but honestly this suggestion itself isn't really needed on PH because it is not PFQ and just how everyone else said, the egg storage would be useless. While I understand your frustration, all you can do is to be more careful and maybe enable Safe Mode (A confirmation popup appears for certain actions on PokeHeroes (Delete feed, adopt egg from daycare ...). Avoids accidental clicks. ) which could be the best you could do to make accidents to not happen anymore.

This being said, no support.

Egg storage would actually not be rendered useless. Even if you EHP locked an egg, you'd still need somewhere to put it, and that place would be egg storage - until you're ready to hatch it of course. People also use egg storage to hold eggs for hunts. So it still has its purposes.

I do give my support, because even though it may be a person's own fault for adopting a wrong egg, accidents do happen and it just isn't very fun to have a ton of progress thrown down the drain. Having an EHP lock would be awesome, because that way an egg you don't want to hatch doesn't accidentally get on the Index or something like that and break your chain - it gives you a chance and time to buy an egg storage if you need it as well.

No support.
It would make hunts... INSANELY easy. Adopted the wrong egg? AH WHO CARES, I CAN JUST LOCK IT!
It would make users incredibly careless and not care if they DO make a mistake. Not to mention the egg storage (which I do admit is incredibly expensive) would be rendered obsolete for the most part. Mistakes are your own fault, and you have to live up to them; even if it does mean restarting a hunt.

i agree with the general opinion of it being a bad idea ....plus theres also the fact that if you have enough money to do a shiny hunt then you should be able to also have enough for an egg storage....they arent that expensive in reality if you look at how much it costs to buy the pokeradar and then the batteries for it......one or two spaces for accidental adopts is nothing in comparison.

If people think that this would make the Egg Storages obsolete, then maybe it would be better to do something like this:

People have a certain number of egg locks. That number is 6, the total amount of eggs you can have in a party at any given time, and this is the cap. You can have no more than 6 Egg Locks in use at a time, and you'd have to unlock an egg to be able to use the Lock again on something else. This works just like Egg Storages except for the fact that the egg would remain in your party - it would still take up space until you either a). hatch it, or b). put it in an egg storage - so it isn't the same as egg storage. The first 2 egg locks are free, and in order to get to 6 egg locks you'd have to buy the other 4 with either PD or Nuggets.

This, I feel like would be somewhat of a happy medium. If you wanted to open up some space in your party, or keep more eggs from hatching that just 6, you would still have to eventually use an egg storage. That doesn't make it go to waste, and people still get / get to use egg locks if a mistake happens and they currently didn't have the ability to use / purchase an egg storage.

I understand what you want but why for eggs? on PFQ you can't EXP lock an egg just the Pokemon and if you had said EXP lock for the pokemon and not eggs I'm sure people would have said yes but I think that Pokemon in the boxes should not get any EXP when interacted but you can still interact with them
I personally would love to have a Lv.1 Pokemon on here but sadly can't

sorry but no support to EXP locking eggs
