If anyone is interested in an absolute ton of gen 1 banes, I have a thread here. All the ones I have there are attractive, matching, or close to xxy/xxx/etc.
I am looking to trade most things I have for Pokefarm Q stuff!

I have a Banescale girl who's Umber/Tan/Sunshine and with the Ripped/Tear genes, she has this really nice fall color scheme. If I give her Feathered then she looks like a turkey!

Does anyone know if you have to be in a specific coliseum venue to get the skeletal gene or does it just show up at random?

Coli genes are, as far as I know, always random drops in any venue/from all monsters. :>

have you seen what people have been pricing some of the new genes in the auction house?
I was looking to see if I could get a skeletal gene without having to grind through a coliseum venue for like an hour and the cheapest they were being sold for was around 2000 gems or an amount of treasure in the millions

To be fair, they are brand new genes and are of course going to be sold and bought at higher prices until they become more common or less in demand, especially the genes from places like the Coli and Baldwin. That's just economy for you. All you'd have to do is wait until the price drops.

With anything in games or things in general, they start off as more expensive and the prices decrease after they're not high in demand anymore or lets say, a new event comes out and you need a certain key item to do it, the item's price will rise.

Yup!

And based off of what happened with python/morph, the gaoler coli genes [i don't remember which, i didn't really like the gaolers], they're gonna start high but they will drop off eventually. Now's a good time to sell if you get them, you'll max your profits! XD

Oh, well yeah. It's weird with the parallel genes for the Ancients. They're the same gene but one of them can only be applied to the Banescale breed so that some how makes them more special and they don't go for the all-dragon Iridescent price. If only they did, lol.
