Miko turned her head towards Kardia, her eyes narrowed. “Stop saying that stupid sh**, it just makes you look like the a** you really are...” she growled, not ready to get up just yet. She didn’t know what got into her. She never acted this way, so why should she be so protective over a stranger?

"Whoa, calm down." She crackled, putting her hands up in defense. "I'm just looking out for her. She must be awfully lonely without her dearest beside her, forever separated by the frustrating veil of life and death. I want to help her, you see. It would be such a shame for the child to grow up never knowing who their is. Why not give both of them what they want and live a happy and fulfilling life? Of course, it won't be in this world." She laughed, a slightly unhinged light twinkling in her eyes. She opened her mouth to continue, hoping to explain to Miko her merciful plan of saving Flare and her unborn child before Julian put a hand on her shoulder.

"Apologies for this one. Since she won't need to talk anymore for the duration of the night, I'll be taking the liberty of silencing her." He stated calmly, leading Kardia away from the group.

Tempest raises an eyebrow at Julian. She shakes her head and goes back to watching Shion. She was nervous for him, it was a lot of stress being up there. If you say the wrong thing you won't have a sponsor, but if you say the correct thing that could put a target on your back. She plans to watch everyone's reactions as he speaks, so she knows which Tributes to look out for

Julian met Tempests gaze steadily as he stripped off his lavish white suit jacket and stuffed the majority of the fabric into Kardia's mouth, using the sleeves to complete the makeshift gag. He knew how restrictive it could be, but they were almost done. It Kardia would be fine.

Miko glared at Kardia as she walked away with Julian. If she ever killed anyone, Kardia would be first on her list. How sick could she be? Flare wouldn’t want to die like that, she didn’t deserve it. She deserved to live her long life with her child, and finally meet her husband when her time comes, not too early. She sighed as she closed her eyes and calmed herself down. Why didn’t she care about her own life? Why didn’t she take her life into consideration? Was it because she had no dream? No goals she wanted to achieve? Did she think that she wasn’t worth breathing the air that everyone else breathed?

Halcyon stared Kardia right in the face, eyes that may appear unreadable to Julian clearly displaying shock and a mirror for the insanity she saw inside her friend. For that, if anything, was what Halcyon could come across as. She had always loathed death, even if she had more than a dozen different ways to administer it, but she could understand things from a different viewpoint. District Twelve had hellish conditions, even if you were not working. Poverty gave them a distinct disadvantage in the games as well, and to subject a child to that once they were born. Unthinkable. She held Kardia's gaze, trying to read the other female's expression while seeming reassuring.

Her wide eyes conveyed nothing but fanatic desperation. Although she desperately wanted to save Flare, she eventually stopped struggling simply breathing heavily through the makeshift gag. Her defiance still boiled within her, a desire to free others from their suffering ingrained deeply into her. It scared her though, how strongly those ideals displayed itself within her, how willing she was to lake a life to reunite a family. But what did it matter anyways? In the end she was doing good work. Connecting her fractured mind back into a semblance of normalcy, she relaxed in the tight grip Julian was holding her in and steadily met Halcyon's gaze.

"Wha- oh, um I guess if I won, I'd be able to provide for my family in ways I never could before." He supposed nervously, his voice starting out a mumbled before growing louder to be heard. His heart was thumping in his throat, nerves making him bounce his leg ever so slightly.

That, Shion had to think about. "I can survive." He replied slowly, thinking as he spoke. "Back home, I had to take care of five other siblings and we had no home. It was my duty every day to set up shelter wherever we could, and I believe that this experience will prove useful in the arena. I'm confident that in my ability to stay alive."

"my siblings?" He asked a little surprised. "Well, my oldest brother is the one who does the most work, earning money so we can try and eat. I'm the second oldest out of the ones alive, and my younger brother just turned 12. My two other siblings are 9 and 2 and I hope that if they're watching, they're being very nice to their big brother Avenir." He located one of the cameras in the audience and gave it a stern glare before bursting into a more relaxed smile. He didn't talk about his other older brother, however, not wanting to cry on stage in front of the whole population of Panam

The crowd were hanging on his words, Caesar was a little as well. "Well your older brother wont have much trouble once you win this thing and return home as a victor." The crowd burst into applause and cheers in suport, the buzzer bearly being heard above the roar. After a few parting words he called Miko's name.

Miko gently nudged Nova off of her as she stood up, dusted off her dress, and took a deep breath. She was born ready for this. She smiled and walked onto the stage. Looking at Caesar, then at the crowd, she began to feel a fire burning inside her. Being put on the spotlight for once actually filled her with a bit of excitement. She wanted to please the crowd, that was her goal at the moment

Tempest bursts into a smile when Shion returns from his interview. She practically runs into him when she races over. "That was really good, listen to them, they love you!" She has to raise her voice so he can hear him. "Very very good!"

Striding off stage, Shion's smile crumpled as the tsunami of homesickness battered against him. Keeping up a brave face until he had stood beside Tempest, Shion brushed a few tears away from his eyes lips quivering. He missed his siblings so much. His smile was watery but no less happy when he nodded. "I'm glad." He replied hoarsely, raising his voice slightly over the road in his ears.

She felt the same thing he had. But for now she would need to swallow it down. She gently grabs his arm and steers him away from the other Tributes. "We'll win this, I know there can only be one survivor... But we'll find a way to cheat the system and return home to our families. I can promise you that"

Miko let out a light laugh along with the crowd. “Now, why would I say that?” She paused for a bit to allow the crowd to calm down. “Well... I honestly can’t remember, but then again I have the memory of a goldfish so no surprise there, huh?” She smiled.
