Miko looked back at Nova and raised an eyebrow, followed by a small chuckle. “I guess so.” She paused for a second and slowed down. “I feel like you’re hinting at something...” she quietly muttered under her breath.

Irritated by the utter immaturity of her fellow tributes, Halcyon huffed. Her chair grated back with a sound groan and chucking her plate in with the others carelessly, Halcyon left. Her thoughts roiled as she dismissively turned her heel. The fact that they were fighting already made her so disappointed. She gave Kardia a curt wave before making her way towards the knife throwing station. She would normally have planned this for day two of training, but the fight in the cafeteria had left her on edge. More than was probably good for her.

Without even knowing it, she was going to the same place Halcyon was. She watched as Nova went to the site starting station and sighed. Didn’t she say she was going to the targets? She entered and got the knives out of her pockets and looked at them.

Without even realizing it, Halcyon turned the simulator onto the highest difficulty. She had a way of blocking out the entire world when it came to handling weapons. Or fighting. It was a pre-natural stillness that overtook her; eyes honed and utterly emotionless, breathing even. Sound diminished in her ears as she accepted the first knife the trainer gave to her. All was silent and even time seemed to lose its meaning as Halcyon went deep inside herself to access her ability. She stood in the fighters stance, feet slightly apart as a familier raging river swept through her, granting her unnatural control. This was who she was. The simulator whirred alive, light forming figures that ran at her. The first knife left her hand and sheathed itself in the first figure's neck area. A second was in her hand before the first clattered to the ground as she whirled. Dancing, this was a dance. She met each one, stepping in a dance she knew alone. To a human, it would look unnatural or ethereal, how fast and how lithe she was moving. She defeated all nine in minutes, and stood alone, not facing her guest - who she knew was watching her.

Miko stood outside of the simulation, staring in awe at Halcyon. No way was she going to be as skilled as her. Her confidence plummeted, but her determination somehow grew. She wanted to be better, so she had to expect herself to make progress. She had to accept that no matter what she did, she might not be better. Nothing was a game anymore, she couldn’t be scared of what she couldn’t do. She gulped and straightened up, trying to look a bit more professional without looking like she was trying. Of course, this just showed her skinny and boney body even more.

Raising an eyebrow, Karida ducked at the oncoming fist as the instructor came at her. Circling the instructor, Kardia ducked under the jab and spun easily past the guard the instructor had up and jabber her elbow right into her opponent's nose, making the instructor stumble back. Perusing her target, Kardia stuck close as she delivered a devastating hook that sent her instructor sprawling. Breathing heavily, she nodded and exited the area. "Who's the show off now?" She called to Halcyon, using her shirt to wipe off the sweat running down her forehead.

Halcyon silently picked up the nine knives, returning the, to their rack before leavin the station entirely. She didn’t bother to acknowledge Mike who was staring at her as if she were some war hero, though she could practically taste the awe and anxiety radiating from the other on her tongue. She tried to hide the small spike of satisfaction and condescending power it sent through her mind, though the edge of her mouth twitched upwards. Turning to hear a familiar female voice calling her name, Halcyon turned to see Kardia pummeling the training instructor into the dust. She gave her a half shrug, smirking in challenge. “Perhaps both of us.‘“

After she had walked away, Miko stepped in to the simulation. She was sure that she was going to fail miserably, but at least she could try. She held her knives in her closed hands, gripping tighter and tighter as she got ready to start the simulation. She sighed and with one swift movement of her hand, it began. (I don’t know how this works...)

"Wanna have a go?" She huffed, jerking her head over towards the combat station. She wanted to see how someone who trained every day for the games would fare. And if she was being honest, she also wanted to test herself against Hal's score in the knife training. Knives seemed to be the one thing she was decently good at along with her exceptional speed. She hadn't done well in identifying plants, and the ropes course had ended in disaster. If she was going to survive the games, she would need to hone the one skill she actually had promise in.

Halcyon huffed, a haughtiness not seen previously gracing her lips. Oh Kardia had no idea what she was in for, or did she? It would be so wrong of her to underestimate her other. "It's not something that worries me, spitfire." She said with a cold, dark smile for her counterpart alone. Casually waiting by the station Kardia had indicated, she pinned her with a stare, daring her to do otherwise.

The tributes trained for three more days, on the final day just after they finished lunch, a female voice over an intercom told them that she would call them one by one to show the game makers what they were capable of with in fifteen mintues. Once a tribute had finished another would be called in, starting with District One, men first followed by the women. There was a few moments of slience before the voice spoke again. "District One. Ryder."

Ryder stands up and brushes a hand through his hair. He walks confidently to the room, glaring at the other tributes as he passes by them. He has tape over his nose and has two black eyes from the punch. It had broken his nose. He released his anger by training harder

Damn was Miko nervous. She had almost no progress during the past 3 days. She was still one of the worst there, even with her expectations high for herself. She was only good with knife throwing, and she didn’t even know her power. Nova had definitely been trying to tell her something, but she couldn’t figure it out. Everyone was going to see her as a failure, she knew it. At least she had no one to disappoint other than herself anyways...

Glaring daggers at Ryder, Kardia slouched down on her seat as she crossed her arms. Scowling, she ran through what she could possibly show off. Her knife skills certainly but that just seemed boring. Two other people also we're good with the knife and Hal was downright a genius with any form of weaponry.

Flicking his earring absentmindedly, Shion shot nervous glaces around him. He knew he could survive, and if he got a low score maybe he could avoid being on anyone's kill list. His general plan was to lay low and survive as best he could so the survival station and camouflage station seemed like the best bet

Nova was sitting next to Miko, bouncing her leg like she always did when she was nervous.

Alice seemed confident, not like the other careers where it could be viewed as arrigance, but Alice's posture was equal to that of a child who knew the anwsers on their test with the aid of studying.

The haad Game maker looked at Ryder, she was older but her eyes held wisdom and sternness beyond her years. "Start whenever you're ready."

As Ryder passed, she lowered her head so her face wouldn’t be seen. She didn’t want Ryder as an enemy. Clearly he was the troublemaker, and one of the bigger threats of the group. She wanted to impress the judges so maybe they would give her some mercy towards the end. She didn’t want to die due to vicious dogs, she wanted to die in a memorable way. Wait... what was she thinking? Was she really at the point where she would automatically think she would die? She turned her head towards Nova and slightly smiled. She hadn’t seen Nova much, but she knew a little bit in who she was.
