Miko looked at the weapons curiously. She didn’t know what half of these were called. All she knew was the knife, sword, and spear. The rest seemed foreign to her. Some weapons looked similar to those three, but she could identify that they weren’t the same. She sighed and went for a simple bow and arrow. It looked very interesting to her. A curved shape with a trying connecting the two open ends, and a stick with a sharp piece at the end. How did it work exactly?

Seeing the two girls retreat the peacekeepers simmer back down and go back to where they had been.

Leaf glanced around. There were edible plants they could memorize, but they knew plenty about those. There was a knot-tying class where Flare was watching the expert there make a snare that could leave someone haning by their ankle upside down from a tree. A camoflauge station where Alice was having the time of her life mixing the colors together to blend in the fake trees. A shelter making staion where Blaze was pracitcing making a shelter for herself out of whatever was there. "How about we try camoflauging?"

Pearl watched Miko fiddle with the bow, shook her head and continued to shoot the targets without issues. One of the male tributes from Two was clearly not suitable with a sword, but was deadly with throwing knives.

Harlow nods in agreement. She walks over to the camouflage station and smiles at Alice. "Hello, don't mind us we are just learning how to camouflage" she pauses, realizing that having allies wouldn't be bad for them. "Do you have any tips? You seem to know what you are doing"

Tempest spends the next few hours at the plant memorizing station. She decides to spend most of her time on the survival side of this training. She already knew her physical form was weak. She relied heavily upon her powers when it comes to any physical work, so she usually only worked on her stamina... at least before the games. Now she wanted to use her book smarts to her advantage.

After the ax throwing, Ryder got bored. He stands in line behind a group of kids who were trying to use their arms to carry them from one point to the next. While he waits he looks around and watches everyone. He'll have to form relationships, the stronger the better.

Halcyon was acting on her own agenda. She already knew how to handle most of the weapons in the room, but she wanted to branch out. If not for the purpose of scoring higher and appearing to try something out of her comfort zone, she also wanted a different repertoire. She made a note to go over hand to hand techniques with Kardia. Keeping a peripheral view on the others, she headed toward one of the obstacle stations. wip

Alice broke into a grin and took three small containers of berry juice, mud, and clay then gripped Harlow's arm and pulled him by the fake trees, then she started her work. She started with the mud, once she had a base she mixed in the clay and berry juices in and started making desgiuses in front of them, weaving in leaves and vines. It wasn't long before the bottom half of his arm blended in with the fake trees behind them. "It's a bit hard to explain."

Miko saw the other stations and reminded herself that there was other ways to win. She didn’t have to use a weapon, and a knife could just be used for wilderness skills (didn’t know how to word that), and the other things were more important. Camouflage would definitely help her, and knot trying would be essential as well. She was stuck. What would she do? She wasn’t prepared for this, and she knew too little about how the world worked to actually be able to win. She could barely use a bow for heavens sake. Well, the one thing she had to thank those men for was her cooking skills. She could definitely use a knife to her advantage, and she already knew a lot about edible food, and how to cook as well. Since she was from District 13, her power could most likely help her start a fire. Now all she needed to do was practice other skills. She put down the bow and grabbed a decent looking knife and turned it in her hand.

Harlow watches the girl work closely. "Basically blend the colors until it looks correct?" She asks. She tries to do the same thing Alice did on her other arm. A frown appears on Harlow's face when she doesn't get it correct right away. But after some time she manages to make it look almost perfect. She smiles at her work.

It was now Ryder's turn. He flawlessly makes it across the course. The yawns when that is done. He walks over to the sparing mats now. A trainer who is roughly the same size as Ryder looks him over. "Show me what you got" the trainer commands, as he gestures for Ryder to access the mat. Ryder rolls his eyes but steps onto the mat. "Don't embarrass yourself" he mutters

Heading straight for the knives, Kardia grabbed one off the rack and tossed them experimentally. Some were beautifully weighted and suited from throwing while others were heavy at the blade and designed to make heads roll and blood spurt. Tossing one of the throwing knives, Kardia whirled around and whipped her arm viciously to sink the knife into the head of the target a few meters away. Whistling in surprise, Kardia grabbed a few more knives off the racks and went to town, blades whizzing through the air as she flicked and spun her deadly dance. By the time she was done, the targets were peppered with knives, some missing entirely but others landing their target. Grinning wildly, she whipped around, eyes roving around hungrily to see what she could try next.

Wordlessly joining Tempest, Shion sat down to try and start a fire, rubbing sticks together as he sat among the grass. It was nostalgic and a bit saddening but Shion pushed through it, sparking a small fire. Smiling, he bent down and blew, coaxing the ember into a proper fire that could warm him.

If not for the purpose of scoring higher and appearing to try something out of her comfort zone, she also wanted a different repertoire. She made a note to go over hand to hand techniques with Kardia. Keeping a peripheral view on the others, she headed toward one of the obstacle stations. This was a rope course, and while Hal had used ropes before, she was more than a little surprised when she found out how the ropes bent alarmingly fast under her weight. Meaning that she was literally climbing upside down. Not that it stopped her; both trainers that she had grown up with put her through worse. Finally crowning the remarkable course and beginning her descent, Hal hissed in a breath as she heard familier thudding sounds. Knives. She picked her head up to witness her red-head friend Kardia dancing the dance of death, knives glistening like quicksilver. She gave a half smile and waved to her friend, the ropes swaying. “You show off! Why don’t you come up here?”

Mallory flicked a knife at a target. She hit the center. She continued throwing knives at various targets. She decided that she was going to try something else. She looked around, she slipped a few knives into her pockets. She wandered around looking, hoping to meet someone friendly.

Rose drew another arrow, she shot it at a target. She grabs another arrow and does the same thing again. She shoots again, and again.

Tempest watches Shion work quietly, she couldn't help but give him a smile when she sees him light the fire by himself. "It's much harder than it looks, isn't it?" She asks, trying to preform a bit of small talk. She tried to appear calm, but her tense figure gave away her fear. She couldn't help it, every person she glanced at was her possible murderer. She could imagine Shion grabbing the nearest weapon and stabbing her. She blinks and glances away. "I'm sorry... I'm a mess, these games are messing with my head already" she admits

Ryder allows the trainer to land a few hits on him, after the third hit he dodges the punch. He leaps forward, elbow out, and jams it into his throat. The trainer falls imminently, clutching his neck. Ryder kicks the trainer's chest and he rolls onto his back. Raising up his arms to protect his face. Ryder is a man without mercy, he walks towards the trainer, ready to finish him off when he notices peacekeepers walking towards him. He smiles and raises up his hands. "I'm done" he promises

She threw the knife with a swift, graceful movement. Dead center. She was pretty proud of herself, silently thanking one of the nicer men before grabbing another knife, similar to the first. Again and again did she throw. The small sound of metal hitting metal was heard almost every time. All the knives were gathered in the same general area, barely any room in between each of the knives imbedded in her targets. She was pretty confident with this. She saw Mallory and Kardia doing the same.

Mallory had watched as another girl hit the target. She walked over to her. "Hi." she said. "Your aim is amazing." she said, giving her an admiring smile.

While usually a shy figure, Thrush felt more than inclined to go to the snares station. Since he was from District 11, he knew most of the tributes didn’t give a crap about him or his abilities. They just wanted to see him dead. But that was where they were wrong. Apart from being able to identify more plants than there were people in the building, he could control them. This wasn't just for food, it could also be for poisons. So in the case of snares, he had already figured out how to use grass to create deadly snares that could easily break bones. That would not be where he was headed; he plopped down next to Shion, not making a peep as he began to set up his own stick and wood, rubbing furiously.

Rose shot an arrow at a target, it hit the bulls-eye. She sighed. "I am going to die." she whispered to herself. "I'm not strong enough to win." she said.

Mallory smiled again. "I'm Mallory, who are you?" she asked.

Shion smiled kindly, shaking his head. "It is. But you have to grab the right wood to start the fire on. The more knots the better." He explained, blowing out his fire and showing Tempest the stick he had used. True to his word, the gnarled wood provided more friction for sparks to catch on. "It's no problem though. I'm actually pretty scared myself, since I have no combat training at all. Unlike you." Chuckling slightly, he rubbed the back of his head, he could see a shy darker skinned boy lurking around in the survival area as well and smiled in a friendly way towards him.

Looking around to see who had called to her, Kardia's piercing red eyes trained themselves on Halcyon's swinging form. "And how about you, Acrobat?" She jested, jogging over to the rope course. Kardia's only saving grace and asset in the games was her remarkable arm strength, honed from years of lugging around bricks. Climbing up the ropes would be difficult without any core strength. Gripping the net firmly, Kardia scaled up the ropes as quick as she could, making it up halfway before the ropes bowed under her weight and her vision shook unexpectedly, jarring her grip on the ropes. Yelping, Kardia hooked her legs on the ropes, her body jerking as she dangled there upside down

Halcyon huffed, scaling her descent until she was able to leap down light as a cat on the mats. She waved in fake mockery, “Have fun!” She called out dryly to Kardia. Stretching with lithe grace, she made her slow meandering way to the other more core-related courses. Such included lugging and throwing around weights, her body twisting elegantly as she made use of the muscles in her core that were not inherently visible.

Tempest watches him work closely, nodding along with his instructions. "Yeah, well training does nothing if you are constantly scared of everyone you'll eventually be fighting" she points out. "I just hope that if I do get killed... that it's fast" she shuts her eyes and sighs. She opens up her eyes and glances at Thrush. She doesn't say anything to him, she just gives him a curious stare

"Then we are of the same mindset." Shion agreed, showing Tempest how to start a fire. "I know I'll die out there but I hope I die quickly." Another small ember flared up within his hands and Shion blew on the baby flames and sat back proudly.

Kardia stuck out her tongue childishly as she swung back and forth on the ropes as she tried to heave herself upright. After a few close attempts, she swung back, this time curling up and grasped the net firmly and resumed climbing it. She only made it another quarter of the way up the net before her fingers gave out and she fell down with an whumph, air rushing out of her lungs painfully

She looked at Mallory and smiled back. “Thanks! Guess all my years with those guys paid off...” she added. She set her knives down and held out her hand. “I’m Amy, nice to meet you Mallory!” She said kindly.
