Ten people wake up on an island. Each of them has committed a sin against themselves; betrayed the one thing in the world they valued. Whether that be a person, an ideal, or simply their own self-respect, they have failed themselves and others irrefutably.

Hence why they wake up here.

Ten people.

Ten days.

Every last one of them must admit to themselves, to everyone, the truth they hold dormant within them. Or else, at the final day, then Cygne Island itself will put them to death. And the one traitor among them, who has organised this whole ordeal will reveal their truths to the world.

Can these strangers learn to overcome their distrust, break past their personas in order to work together, and reveal on the tenth day? Or will their lies swallow them whole, and have them take an honourable death over that one, crushing moment of vulnerability?

I can't answer that. But you can. After all, you are one of these ten liars. The mistakes of your past weigh heavily on you; in the beginning, your answer will be no. But after you come to know the others... what then? Can you sentence nine human beings to death, at the price of keeping your secret from them, just a little longer?

History:
Born into a mixed family, Metsk never really fit in either of his parent's worlds, too white for his father's family and too Asian for his mother's. They didn't live in the safest parts of town but it didn't matter to Metsk, always buried in his mother's various textbooks and entertaining himself away from the prying eyes of his peers. He liked studying anatomy with his Ema and occasionally Baba would chime in about animal anatomy fun facts that he had picked up from his time taking care of them back in his hometown. Sometimes, they would make a whole field trip of it, walking the long winding road to the local whole animal butcher to just watch and learn. He would later officially apprentice under that same butcher, and business boomed as Metsk would always attract a horde of aunties who pinched his cheeks and scolded him for not eating enough.

Not much is known about the Hwei family from this point onward, just that they existed. Some time during his life Metsk's parents both passed away and he met his now fiance. He still works for various wholesale butcheries, tanneries, and all manner of work in the field

Even when things get especially bad, Kalani pretty much never takes anything seriously. She can often come across as insensitive when it comes to other people's feelings, often just expecting people to chill out when they experience difficulties. History: Kalani Akana had a rather normal and untroubled childhood. Nothing much to speak of. She was given the freedom to what she wanted, to be whoever they wanted to be, and yet her parents were more so what you would call indifferent. They let her do pretty much whatever she wanted, without pushing much of anything on them. There were never really any expectations, which did lead Kalani to become a bit unhinged. They were never taught morals or any sort of limits. However, she also didn't really have reason to despair, as love and support were things she had never truly known. Nor had they known any extreme abuse or neglect. Only indifference.
