I do not naturally have wings or this many limbs.” With that Astrophel dissipated the haze and they quickly shrunk back down to normal size. “I must admit that such a drastic transformation is rather strenuous without any natural darkness. But you have no need to fear for either your skin or your reputation. I have no intention to harm you and I am in no position to criticize murder considering what I myself have done.”

The blushing tripled. Eris was in shock. Then, an overwhelmingly happy smile manifested on her face as joy bubbled inside her. She did her best to sound somewhat calm, but it was clear she was excited and happy. "Yes! It would be my honor to spend our last days at the academy with you!"

"Awwww..." She disappointedly lets out as she was kind of hoping the wings were real, "I do very much believe you, I should get back to helping with the dress now though~!" She chimes upon remembering her original task, skipping back to the bench as she began to help with sewing once more, going back to wagging her tail with a rhythm to it back and force from doing something she enjoyed doing.

It was her way of skimping out on dinner, being that she hadn't actually eaten dinner since her enrollment. Her mother always taught her the importance of maintaining a good figure. "My dress is already hidden away in the closet, so Kendo can't peek until tomorrow night."

Leonidas was taken aback at first but quickly recovered,chuckling at Eris who tried to copy his enthusiasm and straightforwardness. Everything about her reactions were cute. Correction, everything about her was cute, but her reactions even more so.

"It's decided then!" he exclaimed with a rather positive tone. It was really hard to contain his joy, evident from his constant movements. "Let's try to both enjoy the ball and stop whatever evil plan is in the making." It'd be a shame if they only focused on one aspect of the ball,after all. Were they to only have the time of their lives, Leonidas would most likely be filled with guilt for an incredibly long amount of time and if they purely focused on putting a stop to the impending doom, it wouldn't be the kind of memory he would like to have of the last of his days at the academy.

Eris nodded with her now seemingly permanent smile. She had never felt this happy before... Why was Leonidas so sweet to her...? Finishing breakfast, she thought of something. "I'd better let my Auntie know about the Ball. She'll definitely have something for me by the end of the day. While we'll certainly have our eyes open for whatever doom may arise, it wouldn't do to forget that it's a celebration as well." She said the last part with a coy wink. She couldn't help a sudden chuckle. "It seems opposites really do attract..."

Leonidas couldn't help but simply nod at Eris' comment about also treating the ball as a celebration, being too flustered to speak because of the unexpected wink.

"Oh, right! I can't wait to see you wearin' what your aunt will prepare for you." he pulled his hands closer to his chest in excitement. "I'll try my best not to disappoint you either!" he added. Truth be told, Leonidas' sense of style wasn't anything noteworthy or impressive. He had one or two outfits at most, for occasions such as these, which he has never worn before. He always kept telling himself that he'd wear them and get more when he managed to attain a higher rank, since he also wanted to look the part, but that moment never came...

"Opposites...?" he inquired,tilting his head in confusion. He barely was able to hear that over how joyous he felt.

Astrophel felt immensely relieved that Scarlett trusted them. Not only was it a sign of friendship, but it also signified that they did not have to hide away their true nature anymore. They then noticed Ambrose watching in the distance and slowly turned to face him. "Scarlett, it appears we have..." Their arm quickly morphed into a sickle "a witness."

"what do you mean, I literally introduced you to him not too long ago, you already know who he so why are you acting they a stranger! So put that sickle away right now because I'm not being accused for murder, again when I didn't do it for real this time!" She demanded as Scarlett was at a complete loss about the suddenly hostility, especially how they were treating them like a stranger when the two have already meant and we're interacting fine before. Looking back up at them while ordering their demand as their tail almost flicks in a whip like manner, peacefully going back to her sewing work that was at a pause in the time being before going back to it.

She did give them a little leeway as even if Scarlett was enjoying Ambrose quite a lot and see them becoming good friends, but at the end of the day if they were untrustworthy then she could care less if they get their head chopped off, with the only reason she would care if she was around when they did so that's the last thing she needed was to be accused for another murder, which she hasn't even done recently and haven't for a long time up to months and years now.

Jing Yu's grin brightened when he saw the other smile.

They both knew this was just a delicate balance trying to preserve the little peace they have, but who are they to disturb that?

His sister was trying, and that was all that it mattered.

"Hmm I haven't thought that far.. Say, why would we go to that seafood place? I've heard that it's pretty good from the other students!"

Jing Yu exclaimed enthusiastically, not realizing the problem in his choice of destination.

Adara yawns, one of the brief instances where her voice was accompanied by another noise... that noise was startlingly loud, a deep rumble combined with a louder insect-like grumble. Someone behind her could even see something move on her back before she stands up. "Thanks for the girl's night. If your poshness allows it, let's do another." With those words, she left and actually goes to the cafeteria again but passes through most classrooms. All while "humming" a tune with her insect grumbles.

Ambrose meanwhile keeps sewing, his ears were paying attention though. A good actor can do more than one thing at once, or at least switch between multiple things rapidly. But he had nothing to add right now, it seemed like a classic third-act misunderstanding for him (even though the first act hasn't even passed) but, it was not his play, so he lets them do their thing. Going with a rough estimate... yeah, this should (hopefully) fit Adara.

You know the first rule in combat? shoot them before they shoot you.

Jing Yu gave her a thumbs up, and hurriedly pulled up a list of suggestions with vibrant descriptions for her to choose from.

"There's a local specialty that sells savory cakes I heard from some towns folks"

"Oohoh! There's also this really good steakhouse I heard that makes the most beautiful ocean-themed dessert- well of course not as beautiful as my meimei.. my meimei is the most beautiful of course hehe.."

Jing Yu talked animatedly as the list went on and on.

If she was being honest, Liyu was a bit overwhelmed by all of Jing Yu's suggestions. She was still processing the idea of cakes when she realised he was waiting for an answer.

"Alrighty! Cakes it is!"

Jing Yu cheered. Now without a second left to spare, he immediately took them to the entrance of the academy and called for a carriage to hail them a ride.

"Shall we go? My dear sister?"

With a hand out, Jing Yu opened to carriage door smiling at Li Yu. The sunset behind them made Jing Yu's already warm smile brighter, dark hair had specks of orange light, and his eyes were shaped into crescents out of pure bliss.
