The red hue on her cheeks increased when he took her hand, glancing up at him with a warm smile. "Are you ready for tomorrow?"

Lying down, Astrophel’s mind flooded with guilt. They were not meant to be here; they were an ancient demon that brought nothing but pain; they had personally ended the lives of several young students. Students whose laughter and light had been permanently extinguished by the darkness Astrophel brought with them. “Perhaps the only way to right my wrongs is to leave these lands and allow them to continue with no further interference.” Astrophel thought with great sadness, “I must return to my own realm: a realm in which I belong.” With their mind made up, Astrophel left their room for what may be the last time. They made their way to the Academy grounds and noticed that a cloud had blocked out the sun. Maybe this could work after all. Astrophel then proceeded to open their parasol; the shade coupled with the overcast sky provided just enough darkness for Astrophel to, with great difficulty, grow four, insectoid wings. They then proceeded to fly towards the sky, making sure to keep their parasol above them. However, before they could return to the lightless firmament, the sun broke through the clouds. The sky then grew too bright for Astrophel, their wings began fading away and they began losing altitude quickly.

Eris chuckled a little at Leonidas' complaint. "Tarot readings aren't meant to spell out the answer letter by letter. It's about insight into what may be and what was. At least we got a general answer. Taking another drink of lemonade, she regretted it seconds later...

"Partnership and unity,that's us! Right? Or could it be the students of the academy coming together to stop this impending doom?"
Eris nearly choked on her lemonade at Leonidas' bold comment. Coughing to regain airflow, she noticed his gaze was on the card of The Lovers. She blushed. "O-oh! I... I guess that all depends." She said shyly.

"Well...at least it confirmed that there really is something to worry about the ball." He admitted. He glanced to the side,trying to focus for a moment and see if he could feel what Eris' felt but to no avail.

Leonidas offered to pat her back as he noticed her sudden cough but she managed to quickly recover. "Is there anything we can do to get a more detailed or precise reading? Can't really complain since we know something will happen,but we are still as much in the dark as before..." He added before starting to take small bites out of his meal.

Eris thought it over, taking bites of her breakfast as well. "It's hard to say. As I said, Tarot readings offer insight and pieces of knowledge which we must extrapolate details from." She sighed. "I'm sorry I couldn't find a direct answer... Fate is rather fickle with its designs." She felt the need to apologize. As an Elite, she was a role model and the one to go to for help. Being unable to completely help another in any form made her feel horrid, likely a trauma based response...

"You need a chain of emotions to lead to the purpose. A tyrant's wish is to unite everyone under their banner of command, a jealous boyfriend's drive is the safety of his girl. And a kidnapper... well, nobody says they cannot have reason either. It is twisted but still, they follow their own chain of reason no less." He sighs, as the ball of moth fur slowly transformed into a little sleeve. "Does that excuse them? Of course not. But sometimes, it does let you have a glimpse... in the inner workings. I remember a storyteller..." He lifts his head to Scarlett, smiling. "Cruel and heartless fun still requires a heart."

Adara meanwhile sighs, rolling her eyes and making a few... "grumbly insect noises" could be the best word for her sounds. "Mona, I want you to make Kendo blush. And Kendo, you cannot blush on purpose."

You know the first rule in combat? shoot them before they shoot you.

The sole student left in the classroom, Liyu sat silently in the back corner and flipped through her thick book, stopping occasionally to take notes. She didn't notice how the few students who'd wandered in had left, how the teacher was getting ready to leave, how the window next to her had slowly darkened into the reddish-orange colour that now peeked through.

"Anemone, cold, removes toxins, reduces inflammation. Honey locust, treats coughs and boils." She muttered softly as she copied down the herbs and their uses.

The air around her shimmered slightly, images of the herbs appearing and disappearing.

All of the sudden, the window pane beside Liyu bursted open. In front of the warm reddish glow of the sunset is a blinding individual.

His black military cloak fluttering behind him with the wind alongside his unruly dark brown hair that seemed to glow a matching red with the sunset. The fellow's eyes seemed to glow a warm orange for a second and his smile lit up the shadow filled room. His gaze wandered for a moment before resting on a desk.

"Howdy Liyu, my dear little sister! I heard from a little fishy you haven't been keeping up with your meals lately?"

Jing Yu tsked and crossed his arms against his chest.

"Hmm?" Liyu slowly looked up and blinked twice. The air faded back to normal.

She glanced at the sunset and the empty teacher's desk, then slowly closed her books and cleaned her pens. She organised it all into a perfect little stack.

Finally, she turned to Jing Yu with a little smile on her face, her dark eyes and hair sparkling.

"Hi gege, I didn't realise the time."

A smile graced their lips, eyes slightly shining with delight. Another thing they had in common. “We have a small balcony back home, every inch of the space covered in green.”

Kae said, their mind wandering back to the little platform outside the door of the kitchen. Would the plants be alive and the buds blossoming? Their family promised that they’d still be vibrant and full of life when she returned home. “Amaryllis and Irises are the most popular flowers growing around the ivy, but I keep a little room for herbs. Particularly sage and jasmine.”

Jing Yu huffed and reached over and ruffled her hair as he complained.

"This is the third time this week where you forgot! No wonder you looked like you lost so much weight— wait! Did your arms get slimmer?"

Jing Yu gasped in shock as he grabbed the others arm as if it were delicate glass as he examined it. His eyes angled down from its usual bright crescents and his lips pointed downwards in a worried line.

"I understand that it's hard to get used to a new environment, but don't forget your meals! If you're worried about anything, look at your gege! Your gege almosted got trapped in a toilet bowl and yet I'm still living to this day!"

He lept down from the windowpane and sat to the desk opposite of his little sister with his chest puffed up all proud.

He coughed a bit,clearing his throat. "Say uhh...do you happen to have someone to go to the ball with? I mean,does anyone else know about it? Wouldn't it be better if we went together? Y'know,since we are aware..." He rambled on and on,trying to conceal the true intentions as to why he was asking Eris to accompany him. It was much easier said than actually follow through Ayran's advice but he definitely tried.

This at least got Eris to smile. She'd done what she could at this time...

Eris looked at Leonidas in slight confusion. They were the only two in witness of the Tarot reading, so of course no one else knew of it. So why did- WAIT! Her cheeks became pink as realization hit her. "A-are you asking me to the Graduation Ball?..."

Placing their hands in their lap, the Haon offered another small attempt at a smile. It was slightly awkward, pointed teeth getting stuck on their lip when they attempted to close their mouth again. "Irises come in a beautiful variety." Pur commented. "Jasmine is a lovely companion for those flowers, and make a wonderful tea as well. Personally, I am quite fond of clover. There is a small patch out in the gardens here, and it is unquestionably popular for those lovely pollinators."

The larger being looked back out the window, glancing at a small patch of small white flowers. "They make a marvelous honey as well. I have found that experimenting with different teas and honey types makes for quite a few interesting combinations. Perhaps I should loan you a list of ones I find particularly pleasing?"

Slowly uncrossing there legs while lightly hitting the end of their tail on the ground, Scarlett tilt her head at the smile with her own smile she gave being a confused one, letting out a low hum as she does so that dingles for a little bit, though the nasty glare and the lower ears were still there. "Well why don't I tell you my story of my little dastardly deeds...I have killed children, I have murdered children, tying them up to trees as they die a slow and agonizing death, putting duct tape over their mouth so they couldn't cry for mommy and daddy. Yet I have come to regret those actions once my resentment has worn off, it doesn't excuse my bad actions in the moment, but knowing that information now then do I still have this so-called heart?" She has never exposed her dirty secret to anyone until now as she was getting great answers to her questions so far, wanting to keep it up so she can finally get some answers she may have been seeking for a long time.

Astrophel fell rapidly, hastily contemplating how to prevent a rather painful landing. They proceeded to open their parasol, recalling a movie they saw a while back, however it did nothing to slow them down. However, it did provide enough darkness for them to reveal their wings once again, if for but a brief moment. The wings allowed Astrophel to slow down enough to avoid being too injured from the landing. After quickly recovering, they noticed Scarlett nearby. “Ah, Scarlett” they said out of breath, “Please excuse the rather… unexpected intrusion”
