"I won't lie. Every time I hear that story, I almost cry. I hate
that they can't ever be together, the sun and the moon. Not even as
lovers, just... Friends." She imagined what it would be like if she
could catch the raindrops in her palm, and let the water trickle
through her fingers. It would probably be a wonderful sensation
before she dissolved.
"I don't know. Our version was slightly different. We believe that
the entire earth mourned the day that Sapphire and Ruby passed.
Their blood rained down on earth, blackening the earth, before
anointing the ground with life and flowers. The cosmos shook, and
the oceans raged, earthquakes and storms nearly wiped out the
cookies of the world. And the wind blew strong enough to knock a
single star from the sky. No one knows where the star has fallen,
or what the star looks like. But it's believed that because the
star is on earth, the earth couldn't destroy itself in its
mourning. That star saved us."
"But alas, we're taught to believe it is just an old wives tale.
Suns and Moons and Stars belong in the heavens, and we are
supposedly resigned to our fate on earth." But Dee spoke as if she
didn't quite believe the words she was saying.
"So if I'm following, that would make you Ruby Moon. Which would
make sense since you said you came from the Moon, and woke up in
the middle of the mountains. Is that what you're trying to tell
me?" She put a hand on his shoulder, hesitantly. He looked like he
might be one of those people who flinch away from touch, but if
physical contact brought him any comfort whatsoever, she was
willing to try.
"Okay. So you met the sun. What was it like? Can you remember where
you were? Close your eyes and see if you can engage your five
senses to recall as much of the memories as you can." Her voice was
low and even, oozing calmness. She had seen a hypnotist do this
trick once; making your voice more soothing made people more
subliminally receptive to you.
"Why was she crying? And how did you know? Did you see or feel her
tears fall?" Her mind could rival a scientist or doctor when she
needed it to. She noticed he hadn't pulled away from her touch, so
she kept her hand on his shoulder, even as she shifted positions.
"How did that make you feel? Was it... Upsetting? Was it just nice
to have someone care?" She was quiet, thoughtful. If the Moon was
real, than the Sun was real.
Which meant the star was real too.
Which also likely meant that someone was looking for the star to
return it to the heavens. She needed to find it first.
"Roo, how old are you?" A simple question with way too many
implications.
Acaii was seemingly staring out into the distance, but really,
listening intently on Dee's and Ruby's conversation. Dee had come
to the same conclusion she had. How intriguing. Ruby Chocolate
Cookie was indeed probably Ruby Moon Cookie. The powers lined up.
Interesting.
It was getting late. She could properly asses the situation when
she was more well rested. With a sigh, and a thought back to her
amazing, crazy, hectic, and life-changing day, she went inside to
her assigned room and drifted off to sleep.
Rosewater snapped out of her daze. She looked to see the newcomer
Cookie. Why had he asked if she was al- Rosewater caught sight of
her right pigtail. It was halfway turned to rosewater. She winced.
With a sigh, Rosewater closed her eyes and focused. Her pigtail
slowly shifted back into hot pink frosting. Opening her eyes, she
smiled sadly at the Cookie. "I'm alright, sir. Just... A little
emotional right now."
Black Lily Cookie knew she needed to heal the Cookie she had
caught, but first she needed to find shelter from the incoming
rain. She carried the unconscious Cookie to an area that had
coverage. She needed to help this Cookie, but how. She was a Magic
Class Cookie, not a Healing Class Cookie...

Cami sighs, muttering something about “troubled young youths
refusing to sleep” and something about Dee’s writer not being
online due to her tremendous capability to stay off the role
playing forums of pokeheroes, before putting out the fire with a
wave of her staff. She entered her own private bedroom, putting her
staff down and heading to bed herself.
Coca, feeling the rain coming, grumbles and flew back into the
cottage, hopping into Cami’s cauldron, head tucked beneath her
tail, cotton candy cloud covering the cauldron top, and drifts off
once again into slumber.
"Look. We gotta go to bed. I'm sorry to cut you off, Roo, but the
rain is starting to get a little dangerous." Dee sighed, feeling
the weight of more than met the eye on her shoulders. She hugged
her knees to her chest for a moment longer, before springing up.
She loosely grabbed Ruby's wrist, and led him inside, staying under
the cover of the trees.
She opened the door quietly, and crept into the house, holding it
open for Roo. She smiled exhaustedly.
"Good night, Roo. Sweet dreams. Let me know if you need anything...
Seriously, don't hesitate to wake me in the middle of the night if
something goes amiss."
