Knights of Thron RP
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Knights of Thron RPEvie looked up from her meal and blushed at what the older knight said. ‘We are all at the age of 15 or older. It’s not like we’re children.’ She turned to the Ink Demon
‘Oh! Well she [Rosie] wanted to know more about myself. All I can say is that I’m the Knight of Stars, 15 years of age and not as childish as you think I am - believe it or not.’ She looked around, noticing that quite a few knights had left to their rooms. ‘What about you all?
Rei blinked. Quite a story: Knight of Stars? That was an interesting power. But she wouldn’t speak of her story, her background or even name. Her cards would be kept close. It didn’t matter if that clean up was seen or not. Rei’s only hope was that no one already knew her. She got up and made a move to leave.

Children. They were all children, Twayn realized with growing horror that chilled him to his bones. At 15 one should be rebelling against authority, laughing with friends as they returned from school, helping on the farm, anything but fighting in a battlefield that they had no allegiances to. High and prestigious honour?? This was endangering children! Even if they were "mature for their age". (He very firmly pushed down the disgust and vile that arose in his mouth at those implications) His concerned outrage was kept under tight lid, only manifesting in the less than lazy sway of his tail, kids after all didn't quite appreciate being called young. Yes, they may not be childish, helpless, or even technically children, but they were still so young. Not even fully developed and sent off to fight. If those who sat on lofty thrones weren't willing to cherish and protect the ones most vulnerable, then Twayn would never turn his back on his own knights oath
"Ah. I... I apologize." He forced out almost strained with the bottled emotions, the more than twenty year age difference between them suddenly drying his mouth. "Appearances are more than deceiving and I'm sure you two are more than capable of... Defending yourself but this silver wolf is old enough to be your father. Forgive me if I am not more than a little... Miffed that someone as old as my pup could be sent off to war." His wane smile was apologetic as he bowed his head. While they may not need his protection or even want it, he would be damned if he didn't at least set a good example for them
After a little bit, Aurora finally allowed herself to head to the dining hall. While she wasn't really hungry, she knew that the others would be introducing themselves to each other, so she should at least make an appearance...
As the others began to talk about themselves, Aurora was grateful that her mask hid her expression. Despite having been through this a few times, it still disturbed her how young and youthful these 'knights' were. She had to agree with the silver wolf, Twayn. She tilted her head a little, carefully remembering the names of each current knight from past resets. Anyway, she still agreed with him. These were children, barely old enough to be on their own, yet they were expected to fight for people they had no connections with...
Evie paused and smiled, ‘Thankyou.. sorry I didn’t get your name. Mine is Eve. Though Evie is preferred. Rosie calls me “Lavender Lady”. I think it’s because of my hair. But what is your name? You haven’t told us anything about yourself.’ She at the Ink door and back to the Ink Demon. ‘Isn’t it strange how our rooms fit with ourselves and personalities. As I am the night of stars and my room is Moonlight; and Rosie’s is Blossom. Isn’t yours.. ink?’
It was quite funny how some could make friends or enemies in an instant whilst others took time and space to get to know someone. Evie seemed like the kind of person who was one who was good at that. Rei heard Twayn apologise and it was interesting. He didn’t need to yet he did. It made her realise that these knights had different personalities, some young whilst others old. But why should someone, 15 years of age - so young, throw their life away…
A young man ran towards the group, puffing and out of breath ‘Sorry, Knights, but the Princess and Prince request your presence in the meeting room as soon as possible. If you haven’t already, please choose a room from Silver Wing, unpack and come to meeting by 2:00. It’s on the 3rd floor! Thankyou!’ He hurried off, panting as he went. Everyone left the hall and unpacked. When they finish, it’s 1:50.

Lucky, that the servant cut them off when they did. Twayn wasn't keen about being anything other than being a protective observer. After all, the many accolades associated with his name was embarrassing enough. Bowing low to the other knights, Twayn swept off to pick the closest room he could to get it over with. The Eternal room was quite simple, a cozy room that reminded him of everything that he had gained and lost with its dappled sunlight patterned walls and cabin like furniture. Even the bed, a simple double that now looked much too big for one, was almost an exact replica. How those who had readied their accommodations had managed to do it, he didn't know.
He didn't think he wanted to know, the accuracy of his dreams brought to reality much to uncomfortable.
Shedding the casual clothing, Twayn donned on his Knight's garb, fastening the belts and accessories that made up the pure decorative uniform. If any of the uncouth stereotypes of Beastfolk were true, it was that they wore their skin proudly, flaunting their inhuman traits with pride which often made for quality entertainment when in the presence of the more stuffy folk unused to their ways. Beastfolk, after all, were the big bad wolves of human bedtime stories.
Despite his change of clothes, he was one of the first ones ready and waiting
Evie had finished unpacking, dressed in her formal wear and started to hum quietly, then the hum turned to a song. But it wasn’t in English or even anything remotely recognisable. Her ears pricked as she heard a shout. She stopped, worried. Evie ran out to find Twayn, already in his attire. ‘Sir, I heard a voice. Did you hear anything? ..Are you a.. wolf?’ She wasn’t worried, or frightened for that matter, but curious of this older knight.
Rei moved towards the ‘Storm’ room and went inside. It was forest like, slightly dark but the sun streaming in and casting shadows onto the wooden furniture, creating a warm atmosphere. There was a tall bookshelf and desk with a familiar sage-green book and ink pen resting on the surface. Towards the windows there were plants, not the beautiful succulents or pretty flowers, but herbs and leaves. It was just how Rei remembered her old place. It was too perfect. Rei narrowed her eyes as she looked around. She guessed that it would be the same for everyone. Whoever had made this room, or whoever knew what each of the knights liked, knew them pretty well.
Rei changed and slipped a few shurikens into her belt and came out, already noticing that Evie, and.. the other Knight, had the same idea.

Aurora simply waited for the others to exit their rooms, rather than go back into her own. She had no need to change and she didn't feel the need to look around her room yet again. She was dressed already and had her weapons with her as well. She was probably the most prepared of the whole group...

"The beautiful singing? Of course." He acknowledged, having closed his eyes to bask in the foreign tune that waltzed down then gilded halls only to be abruptly cut off by the shout. He had been more than a little concerned certainly, ears straining to pick up any other sound or even if copper tangs were added into the sterile scent of opulence. But nothing. Even with his superior senses, he couldn't make sense of the new and competing information that flooded his mind, discerning what was supposed to be there and things that weren't.
But even with the frustration of prey slipping between his fingers, he found Evie's questions endearing and chuckled at the question. Well, he had referred to himself as one didn't he? "No, no I'm not." He admitted with a smile. "I'm a Jackal though many do assume otherwise. You can tell since my ears and tail are pretty long." As if to prove his point, his tail which normally tucked itself in the shadows of his cloak swayed below his knees, the beige fur stark against its shadows.

Raising an eyebrow at the comment, Twayn nodded in agreement with Rosie's comment. "While my reason is a bit personal, you are correct in assuming that Jackals are quite rare." It was impressive to see someone young be interested in his kind as while it wasn't exactly a secret it also wasn't common knowledge. The main culprits of such a scarcity of Jackal genes were because they're recessive and many pups rarely made it past their fifth summer, those who did often took up the title of Lord Knight or even the Beastfolk Champion. Superfluous in Twayns opinion but he was a humble farm boy who "knew nothing of politics" anyways.
Hearing Bendy's words, he turned around to see who he was talking about. While Pixelated folk weren't new to him, a purple one (he wasn't even sure if it was purple, moving too fast for him to catch a glimpse) was certainly new. "Certainly, I'd love to but I think we should get moving, your friend as well. We can introduce ourselves along the way before the jabber of golden tongues ruins such a mood."
‘Sorry Rosie, not just yet. It’s quite.. personal. But in time, possibly.’ Evie turned to look at Rei and said out of her earshot, ‘Gosh! She’s not much of a talker is she? Anyway, you’re right, we should get there. It’s 2:00 already so we are going to be late!’
Rei did hear Evie but pretended that she didn’t. Though she agreed with her on two things. She wasn’t much of a talker and they did need to get to the meeting soon. She had heard that Gemini’s brother wasn’t exactly the most forgiving or friendly type. Instead, Rei nodded.
The Knights have left their rooms and move to the Meeting room. Inside is the Prince and Princess. Gemini is talking to a high ranking guard and the Prince is leaning on a large table with a map of the realms. He notices you and stares. ‘You ought to be more punctual. You’re late. Well, now that our Knights in shining armour are here, we can proceed with this meeting.’
Gemini stares at her brother, annoyed by his rudeness, then nods in agreement. ‘The monsters that have set foot on our land are called Abominations. They are huge, slimey creatures which can take any form. We believe that we have found 3 realms which might their home. We want you to find them and ask why they are attacking, however if they attack then you have permission to strike back. You may choose your realm. You can go as a group to each realm or split up into mini groups to tackle each realm. Well? What’s your choice?’
