You stand with your bag by the fountain in Thorne Garden. Just behind it is the palace, belonging to the Royal Family of Thron. It’s large and white, with red, yellow and pink roses climbing the walls perfectly. It has many towers with light blue rooves, tall windows and balconies.
A young lady approaches. She wears a light blue gown and has black wavy hair with a silver crown sitting on her head, sparkling in the light. The Princess. She speaks: ‘Good day to you all. My name is Gemini, the Princess of Thron, though you may call me Gem. I am glad that you all have received our letters and accepted the role we have offered.’ Gem smiles. ‘We will later discuss the situation of the creature that troubles our land. But for now, you will be shown to the Silver Wing: your quarters or rooms I suppose.' She leads you inside the palace, up a few flights of stairs and through double doors to a large hallway.
Gem says, 'Welcome to Silver Wing. You each have your own room with plenty of space and there is a sheet on the table inside which shows a map, training facilities, meeting times and more. However, before I let you go there are a few things to know: myself, my brother and grandmother's rooms are out of bounds and so is the 9 dungeon floor, goodness knows why its called that, but you are free to go anywhere else. Breakfast is from 6-9 am, lunch is from 12 am, and dinner is at 7 pm. I will leave you to unpack and get settled. Goodbye.'

Evie looked around, her lavender hair and teal cloak swishing about her. The castle-palace was extremely pretty and had the most beautiful paintings. Her favourite was by far the one opposite one of the rooms: a girl with light blue plaits, sitting on a swing with and looking towards the dusky horizon. She decided that she would like the room opposite the painting to be hers. Another member began to break free from the group towards the rooms so Evie quickly moved towards the one that she liked.
'Would you mind if I take this one?'
On the door was a silvery plaque that had the words Moonlight engraved into it. She ran her finger over the lettering, it was new, as if it had been carved very recently. The figure didn't object so Evie opened the door and slipped inside, dropped her bag and came out smiling at the figure. I hope that person doesn't mind that I took Moonlight.
Rei rolled her eyes as the purple-haired girl opened the door to a room. She could only be 15 or 16 at the most; very young for a knight. She seemed quite.. immature to be selected. The Royal Family must be desperate, though the Princess was doing a pretty good job, concealing her emotions. People were starting to break free from the group but it didn't matter. Rei sighed and looked at the rooms: Pixel, Moonlight, Ember, Blossom, Sky, Paint, Clock, Ink, Storm, Eternity. She flicked back a stray hair from her bangs, pulled up her mask and sat down in a chair by the window, dumping her bag at her feet. She could choose her room later.

Rosie looked over at the lavender-haired lady. She tilted her head curiously, her blonde-fade purple hair swishing as her heterochromic eyes surveyed the room around them. She turned her attention back to the room of the Lavender Lady, noticing that the door was ajar, she went over and knocked. She pushed her glasses that had slipped slightly back up her nose and played gently with her white skirt to soothe herself from the anxiety clawing in her brain. She waited patiently outside the door, she was curious about the inside and wasn’t quite sure if the rooms were designated so she thought she’d ask.

“WHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
The door slightly glitched. In a split second, ink went flying everywhere.

One would be hard pressed to think that Twayn felt anything but polite interest as the princess drolled on about meaningless drivel. The slight twitch of an ear or his lazily swaying tail the only indications that anything might be amiss. The Beastman wasn't exactly the biggest fan of monarchies in general but bore through the earsore of a lecture. The posh princess leaving couldn't come any sooner and the eldest knight stretched out languidly."Well, take your picks. I'll simply take whatever is left over. Youngsters should treasure their youth while we pave the way." He smoothly offered, stepping away from the doors to let others choose.
It was adorable how some of the younger ones ran to claim a room immediately, attachment towards the words engraved in hardwood. Some were also beginning to mingle with others, the beginnings of a knighthood taking form around the edges. How sweet to be carefree and unburdened to the experiences of life, he mused to himself as he carefully observed each knight's actions. Though no amount of observation could save him as ink came flying over them, splattering across the gathered knights.
Instinct moved him, the closest person to him being swept under the cover of his cloak. And it just so happened that the seat Rei had taken was close enough to Twayn, their shared path as observers placing them in close proximity.
Evie heard yelling sounds and a knock on her door. She opened it to a woman standing in the entrance ‘Oh! Hello. Are you alright?’ She poked her head to the side of the lady to see that ink was splattered everywhere, just minutes after it was all clean and pristine. ‘What happened there?’ She shook her head and smiled. ‘Want to get some lunch? I think that we have enough time.’
Rei hadn’t got the ink on her thanks to the older knight but it had gotten on the walls, floor and even ceiling of the Silver Wing. She sighed and snapped her fingers. Everything was clean again. ‘Try not to wreck the palace on the first day.’ Rei yawned.
She took out her golden pocket watch and glanced at it. It had only been 20 mins and she would still have time to get down to the dinning hall before lunch ended. ‘If you guys want lunch then I suggest that you move downstairs.’ Though Rei didn’t move. She wasn’t hungry and would wait until everyone had claimed a room.

Raising an interested eyebrow at Rei, the display of easy power surprising in an environment where Twayn instead would have kept his cards close an interesting choice, he simply hummed in acknowledgement of her words and took a step back away from her personal space. She seemed powerful enough, barely reacting to much and he had been around death enough to know when someone else was dearly acquainted with the silver wolf that would come for them all. The lack of laughter lines or other creases in her youthful face made him ache for a lost childhood but there would always be time to rectify such erroneous errors.
"Yes, quite understandable but do remember that we'll be working together for the foreseeable future. Any grudge or bad impression that you foster now will carry through until you prove otherwise." Twayn noted, curious as to who the friend that the ink demon had mentioned was but holding his tongue against anything that wasn't neutrally intoned advice. He found it foolish for any of the elder members of any group to be anything but paragonic role models for the younger ones, but even he had his bitterness over such ideals. He was simply here to observe, step in when needed, and nothing more.
Foreseeable? Grudge? Future? Wait, this person must be one of ‘em people who ignore their ‘friends’ because they think they’re a queen or somethin’. Or either they just speak good English. Heh.
“Bad impression? Me? Nah-ha-ha….don’t expect me to do anything……Not sure about the other forms…….”
Some ink fell down the cartoons face when he said that….
Rosie nodded at the Lavender lady before stepping aside to allow passage through. She had a quick glance around when her eyes caught on a door not too far away with plants in pots around it and vine growing from the inside that were snaking out to cover the door. She made a mental note to check it out later. She turned her attention back to the Lavender Lady. “Hello” she said quietly “Do you know where the food hall is?”

Evie cocked her head in thought. ‘I think so, but I’ll take the map, just in case.’ Evie ran inside. Her room was big and purple with glow in the dark stars above the canopy bed. There was a moon lamp beside the bed and some more night/dusk themed paintings. There was a bookshelf near the paintings and balcony with draped teal curtains. She felt like a princess herself. Evie seized the map on a the bed, walked out of the room and said, ‘Forgive me for being so rude. I haven’t introduced myself. I am Evie, the Knight of the Stars. Now, let’s go and get something to eat.’
Rei looked up. The knight was moving away. ‘You don’t need to move. If I’m that conformable to be around then I’ll get up.’ She stood up and glanced at Evie, smiling and completely oblivious to Rei. ‘I was trying to tell the younger members of the group that if they wanted food, they don’t have that long to get it.’ Rei tied her hair and sighed.
There was a menu on a little table by the seats and she glanced at it.
The food was fine but it wasn’t overly appealing to her. ‘All of you, go get lunch. You’ll need strength. But it’s up to you.’ Rei pulled down her mask and threw a shuriken that barely missed Evie’s head but she pulled it back before it could even get close to her. Evie didn’t even notice, she was chatting with another knight.

With the others distracted for the time being, someone else had slipped into their room. The Clock on the door was a dead giveaway. Closing the door behind them, the figure's shoulders slumped in a silent sigh. They could hear the splattering of ink outside the door. "Right on time..." they thought to themselves. They had had the misfortune of getting involved with the mess three times before. How? Her power of time.
Aurora didn't bother with sitting down or such. Instead she moved to the window. She watched the movement of the sun with eyes hidden by her rabbit mask. It was a little past noon. Should she bother going down to eat???

‘Hm? Miss Rosie, are you alright? We are here! I think..’ Evie’s hands flew up as she presented to Rosie - and herself - the dinning hall. It was large and white like the rest of the castle and had tall arches and pillars but it wasn’t off putting to look at. It was almost like a slightly lighter version of the Harry Potter dinning hall. On the sides of the room, there were two long tables, identical to each other and filled with food. There were quiches, fruit, cakes, pastries, sandwiches and even jacket potatoes. Evie ordered a plate of sushi and some herbal tea and sat down at a small round table that sat about four or five people. ‘Get some food and come join me.’ She sipped at her drink.

"Aren't you a little too young to be so responsible?" Twayn chuckled, amused at the shenanigans of the group as he noted how Rei seemed to want to join in the fun but held herself back. That invisible wall was thick but not unbreakable. Everyone gathered really were just children, informality bleeding through in each word that they spoke and if Twayn could help protect that childish wonder, well. It was worth working under the oppressive presence of an ever present annoyance. "Go eat, as you so aptly said we'll need our strength and that includes you. Even if not to eat now, I'm sure some precautions for... Leaner seasons is to be expected."
Old habits died hard after all, on the battlefield every scrap of food was a blessing and one would be a fool not to hoard them in times of plenty. Though knowing those who sat up on high, their food was equally as transient as they were.
