*The Doctress would be waiting in her room, extending her arm using her ink to write her name in a neat and immaculate calligraphy signature on the green chalkboard on the wall, her room was designed after her different aspects, the walls being medieval stone from her early years, the desks being made with a dark oaken wood, the cauldrons clean and tidy, and the inkwells filled with Grimm’s ink, one that couldn’t dry out.*

ᴊᴀᴄᴋɪᴇ ɴᴇꜱꜱ | ヘブンセンド

-------------------------------------------

Jackie grew tired of walking and admiring the structure and designs of the school, so she decided to stop by to her assigned house and dorm..

Seeing the one of the houses labeled "Cremini", she sighed and walked over to it.

Jackie saw her name engraved in one of the doors. A little excited, she grabbed on the golden doorknob and opened the door..

Jackie smiled at how cozy the roomed looked. And, literally everything was nice and neat, just how she liked it.

There was a window next to her mattress with light blue curtains, with white transparent cloud designs on it. The bed had a few dark blue and white pillows and a floofy blue blanket. Jackie was smiling widley and almost squealing in happiness.

She turned and saw a white-gray desk with a large circular mirror on it, and some pastel colored tulips and roses in an elegantly designed vase next to it. There was a chair in front of the desk that had a heart-shaped light pink pillow sitting on it. Jackie smiled and hung her bag at the edge of the chair.

She then looked up and saw a small chandelier hanging fom the ceiling. Jackie already loved it now. It was like her dream room! Multi-colored LED lights were decorated on a wooden bookshelf that had Jackie's favorite manga, JJBA (Jojo's Bizzare Adventure). "It's like they know everything!!" Jackie exclaimed happily.

She happily danced around the clean wooden floorboards where a large circular light blue carpet was. Some photos of angelic photos here and there on the blue walls. Jackie smiled.

She was definitely going to like it here.

Jackie allowed herself to drop on her bed. "So soft..." she whispered with a smile.

Keiki Meyumi

Keiki clapped their hands together. New dormmates! This'll be so funnnn~

They wondered how their dormmate would be like. Nice, mean? Keiki didn't care. Everyone was friends with Keiki in the end.

They wandered into their dorm. It was so brightly coloured, it was enough to make Idris throw up. It was like a unicorn had died in there.

...perfect.

The walls were a pale pink, and the curtains covered in rose patterns. The wooden desk was painted hot pink, and contained several boxes of various beauty products, including massive amounts of nail polish. Like seriously, who needed that much?

In the corner sat another, smaller desk, with a typewriter and stacks of paper. Bottles of ink sat on the floor.

"Ohmygawdit'sperfect-" Keiki breathed.

Kaden Sorrows

Dormmates were an...inconvenience, to Kaden. They proved no use, they were just there. Annoying, bugging, sentient objects which took up valuable room which could've been dedicated to a space for Kaden to play his cello. Oh, how he missed that cello.

One of the tragedies of coming here was abandoning his precious instrument. Still, things happened for a reason.

So, Marina Von Kaimana-Reaper, eh? He couldn't remember who they were, and that was slightly unnerving. Hopefully they were one of the ones who demonstrated their powers. If not, his new roommate would be a threat. He hated threats.

He arrived at his dorm. It was quite bare, white walls, white sheets. Even white wooden furniture. It slightly blinded him. There was a huge bookcase in one corner, and a small rug in another. Both still white.

It felt strangely....like home. It was nice, until he realised-

All the walls were padded.

The corners, the walls, everything was soft. Why?

Lin Reyane-Martinez┃The Night Terror

Lin grinned. Dormmates sounded fun. Maybe she'd like this school after all.

She spun around. Awh, her dormmate had vanished. Lin really wanted to meet them.

"Eh, I'll see 'em later-" She muttered to herself and scampered to her dorm.

Her room was large, the walls plastered in murals depicting forests with vivid colours. The bed was small, sunken into the ground. The floor was covered in grass, small flowers shooting out of the wooden floorboards below. It was a mini forest, and she loved it.

Idris Kallikrates

Idris shuffled out of his dorm, locking his door behind him. A small bag was looped around him.

He groaned. The annoying, purple-haired girl had already taken the spot he wanted to chill in. The chair looked so comfy.

He scowled at her and perched on a stool, clutching a thick book and started to read.

Emika Tenshi-Smith

An odd choice, to name the dorms after mushrooms. Emika supposed her own dorm name, Shiitake, was fitting, as she was part Japanese. She found her way to the Shiitake dorms. The main room was cute, seemingly supposed to be a mix of the duo's styles. There was dark and gothic decor with some pastel mixed in. She found the door that held her name on it and opened it.

The room fit her style perfectly. Gothic in appearance, made of blacks, reds, and accented with white. A few different sized mirrors hung off the walls. The bed was plush. Something felt off though. As Emika looked closer she noticed it; slight padding to the walls and no spiked decorum on the furniture. At least she still had her knife...

Marina Von Kaimana-Reaper

Marina giggled a little. It was a funny theme, mushrooms for dorm names. As she looked for her dorm, she thought over her dorm mate; Kaden Sorrows, the boy who could manipulate one's emotions. He sounded cool. Marina soon arrived to the dorm; Death Cap. She giggled again. "Death Cap room for a death tail girl!" She said cheerily before entering. She beelined for her room.

It was beautiful! Everything was ocean themed! The bed, the wallpaper, even the ceiling was painted to mimic the feeling of being underwater! Marina twirled in delight, only to pause. Something else among the sea-themed room; skulls. REALISTIC skulls. None of humans but of sea creatures and a few land animals. Oh...

Eris Everlast

Eris felt immediately disheartened as she saw Kitty, her dorm mate, run from the group and out the doors. Had she scared her with her powers? Her physical appearance?? Her presence?! She banished the thoughts quickly. It couldn't be that, at least she hoped it wasn't that. Eris quickly made her way to the Portobello dorm and entered the door with her name on it.

It felt so bittersweet to Eris, looking at the room. It resembled her home in her world, before coming to the human world. The walls were made of stone and crystal chunks, to mimic a mix of a cave and a frozen temple. A bed, or better term, a nest sat at the furthest wall, protected and covered in blankets. Snow was in the room as well, making feel right at home. Home...

Mei had somehow gotten ahold of a random, almost monochrome rubik's cube that had been lying around for "decoration" for some reason, fiddling with it to pass the time. She was in the middle of scrambling it when she felt inclined to look up from the dull colors after hearing a door squeak, finding Idris coming closer. Her eyes followed him for a moment, sticking her tongue out and rocking her head side to side whenever he made that ugly look toward her. Geez... how rude... Mei looked back down and continued shuffling, then began every casual person's nightmare when looking at a scrambled cube.

Solving it.

Good thing she wasn't a casual, am I right? She only acted like one. Mei continued fiddling around with it, seemingly getting nowhere as a perplexed look creeped onto her face, all while looking up at Idris a time or two.

"Pfft, what, I stole your chair or something? Are you mad that I don't have a dead aunt to torment me with?" She chuckled, starting to now lean back in her chair and throw the cube at the ceiling, catching it as it was about to hit her face, over and over again while she giggled and laughed.

"So y'know how 'great minds think alike' or somethin' stupid like that? Don't you find it funny how we both just decided to totally hang out together, stay in this 'cozy' space instead of putting actual work in to explore the school? No way, me too!" She giggled some more, lifting her head up to look at the black-haired boy on the stool, shoving his face in a thick book.

Mei knew that he didn't want to talk or anything, and she knew he already found her annoying, but why not make it even worse? It was more fun to torment someone who's made it obvious they don't want to put up with her BS anyways.

"Well, at least I'm not a nerd, right? Hehe, you look soooo stupid with your face in that book~" She teased, returning to throwing the cube back in the air over and over again after giving Idris a smug smirk. Yeah, sure, Mei sounded really stupid right now, but at least it was funny to her.

(too lazy to write more insults whoops, it's like 3 am i can't anymore)

Aoi walked into the main room of his house, slightly calmed by the fact that it was all so... Neat, simple, and the atmosphere was quite lovely. Before his nonexistent dormmate came in, he darted to his room and closed the door, honestly quite surprised by what he saw. It wasn't at all what he expected, but then again he wasn't expecting anything anyways.

But... He wasn't expecting this. Pastel golden yellow walls (which were oddly padded for some reason... Sound-proofing, maybe?), long white flowing curtains over an open window, almost-white wood tiled floors, very light gray sheets on a bed with a simple but elegant wooden frame, a white wardrobe in the corner that, when opened, looked more like a storage system/supply chest than a wardrobe, and a desk across from the foot of the bed that housed two monitors and what he assumed to be a hidden computer. It was so... odd, really, Aoi wasn't sure how to react. All the bright colors blinded him, but honestly, he didn't mind it. Better than being in a dark, cold, lifeless room...

The memory made him shiver, but it also brought something to mind. The room didn't feel tailored to him, but he knew that there wasn't anything he would change either. Odd, considering the fact that for the past 10 years he didn't really have a space, or a life, really, to call his own. Aoi didn't exactly have many interests, likes or dislikes. He didn't have a favorite color or color scheme, or even an atmosphere, truth be told. He wasn't really sure about anything that would make a place more "cozy" to him, Aoi kind of just... Didn't really care. He just found it funny how this was the final decision for his room, especially when none of it sparked any interest in him.

Anyways, he traveled to his bed first thing and immediately sat down, running his hand through his hair as he let out a deep sigh. What a day it has been, and it wasn't even halfway over... Aoi yawned and took one last look around the room before adjusting his clothing while he got up once again, deciding it best to actually explore the school.

Hopefully it would get his mind off the memories slowly creeping into his head now, leaving him cursing at himself for being stagnant for too long, letting his mind wander too far. He... He didn't want to see their faces again, hear their voices, hear his own voice, or anything really, but it was inevitable at this point, wasn't it? Everything here only reminded him of the past, a past that no matter how hard he tried, he could never get to go away.

Theo had been wandering around the forest, trying to battle down the curiosity about his dorm. He tried distracting himself with counting trees, talking to his watch, and trying to climb the trees, but eventually...

He traveled his way back to the school, despite protest from his stopwatch. "I'm not going back to the serenity peace of the forest, chrono." He muttered, trying to retrace his steps.

Eventually he found the school, and looked around. hmm...wait, what was my dorm again..? He thought for a few seconds before remembering, and making his way to the dorm. He was very curious about how they had tailored it to him.

When he got to it, he was amazed. There were fake (or real, Theo couldn't tell) cogs and gears hung up, and a string of light blue and purple lights strung on one of the walls. There was a small little canopy bed that was a light magenta, and hanging above it was a child's mobile but instead of shapes or animals it had gears of different sizes. There was a desk in the opposite corner, a light birch wood desk with darker accents. It had a wheeled chair, perfect for spinning on. There were various shelves filled with books lining one of the walls, and on the bookshelf was even a cute potted plant in a pot that somehow resembled a cat. There was also a fuzzy soft purple rug covering the hardwood floor.

Upon closer inspection, there was a old vintage clock on the desk that was colored a light silver. Looking through the drawers, Theo found various papers and art supplies, plus tools for tinkering, as well as spare parts for any sort of machine. Continuing on his search through the drawers, Theo also found various electronic devices.

Hidden in a corner was an additional bean bag, a light peach color.

Theo absolutely loved his room. His tail was swaying in excitement as he took in all the aspects of the room. He ran his hands along the desk, glanced at the books on the bookshelf (Surprisingly, there were books he hadn't read already) and sat down on the bean bag.

It was perfect for him. He could stay here forever.

ᴊᴀᴄᴋɪᴇ ɴᴇꜱꜱ | ヘブンセンド

-------------------------------------------

Jackie was in the middle of reading her manga when she suddenly flinched at the sound of the announcment for lunch.

She groaned, a little angry. She was on the best part! Or, maybe she can just bring the book with her. Yeah!

Smiling, happy with herself, she got out of her bed and grabbed her blue hand-bag and left her dorm.

Jackie wondered if this was the part where she could possibly make new friends, or, unluckily, enemies?

Or she could just meet Marina. She was the only person she knew well, and, she was her step sister/sibling after all. So why not just communicate with her first?

Or, maybe the purple-haired girl? She did seem interested with her performance....

Or, people that seemed nice to her?

Jackie sighed and looked for Marina before going to the cafeteria.

Emika Tenshi-Smith

Emika looked up from a book when the announcement sounded. Already time for food? Without a glance at the other door, she exited the dorm to head to the Main Hall.

Marina Von Kaimana-Reaper

Marina was drawn from the skulls in her room at the announcement. As a half-dead, she didn't technically need food like everyone else, but she still enjoyed it. It would also be an opportunity to make new friends! *Gasp!* She could find Jackie!!! She exited the dorm to look for Jackie.

Eris Everlast

Eris looked out the door at the sound of the announcement. One thing she would need time to get used to; food being generously provided to the students. She had spent many a moons hungry back in her world due to not being a good hunter/scavenger and even in this world where she had to learn the concepts of being 'human'. With a dash of saliva dripping down her chin, which she hastily wiped away, Eris exited her dorm to find the Main Hall.

Theo didn't want to leave the comfort of this space, but he did need food. He stood up, previously sitting down in the beanbag in the corner, and left his dorm. Even though he wanted to stay. Even though he wanted to explore the worlds within the books, within this newfound comfort area.

But nope, he needed food. So he left his dorm, heading for the main hall. Food is a necessity.

Jackie wandered around until she eventually found Marina. She smiled.

Avoiding the students around her quite quickly, she ran up to Marina..

And gave her a warm hug.

"Marina! I didn't know we were going to be at the same school!" Jackie beamed.

"I hope nobody has been mean to you so far or anything? If anyone is bothering you, let me know!"

"If you met your dorm mate yet, hope they're not rude or disrespectful?"

"How was your day so far, though?" Jackie said happily.

She hadn't seen Marina in a very long time, so seeing her now was a fun little reunion!

Marina Von Kaimana-Reaper

Marina beamed in delight as she was found by Jackie. She returned the hug tenfold.

"It's SO good to see you again Jackie!"

"No one has been mean. Then again I haven't met up with anyone yet. I'll have to start making friends soon."

"I haven't seen my dorm mate yet, I think they'll be pretty cool. Speaking of dorms, my room has SKULLS! Oceanic creature skulls! Can you sea-lieve it?!"

"The day has been good so far! The performances were cool! How about you? Have you met your dormie? How's your room? How have things been?!"

Marina was as bubbly as ever, rapidly speaking as usual.

"Can all students gather in the Main Hall please, as it is lunchtime!"

Ugh, finally! She was getting really bored, especially with her emo dormmate doing absolutely nothing interesting. She yawned and stretched in the chair, putting the now-solved cube back in its spot lazily, then throwing herself onto her feet again. Mei wasn't exactly hungry, but at least it gave her something to do for a bit. Besides, what if they were serving dino nuggets? Highly unlikely, given how snobby and stuck-up this prestigious school was, but there was a chance.

With her hopes high and a slight gleam of excitement in her eyes, she hopped her way to the door and gave Idris an exaggerated wave, flinging her entire arm around. "Hehe, see ya later!" She giggled and opened the door, almost leaving before saying something else.

"Or are you sooooo boring that you'll just have your face in that book all day, like the big edgy nerd you are?"

Wow Mei, you're totally amazing at insults. Totally wasn't the most generic thing you could've said.

She giggled to herself a little before walking out the door, heading to the Main Hall once again.

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Aoi had just been sitting on his bed the entire time, doing pretty much nothing. He sighed upon hearing the announcement, not really all that hungry (how would that even work?) and definitely not interested in hanging out in a room full of people. He slowly got off the bed and walked out the door, then went to the Main Hall.

"No, I haven't met my dorm mate yet. Hopefully they're not a pain."

"My room is fine. It reminds me of home."

"Things have been alright so far, Marina, but, tone down on the energy, okay?"

Jackie giggled a little with a smile.

Isla Greer

St. Venti's Academy. A place for the best of the best. The gifted, the powerful, the genius- she sat before it and breathed in the heritage of thousands of perfect magical beings.

This was to be her home, for better or for worse, and she'd be damned if she gave up the greatest opportunity of her life.

A flicker of memory flashed in the corner of her vision. Fire. The heat made her nauseous.

She brushed off the memories of ghosts whom walked these hallowed halls, and felt for her pocket.

Patchwork fabric intertwined around her finger, a babe's promise. This would work out. This was where she belonged. From now on, everything would be okay again.

She took a final step forward and embraced her new life with open arms.

Adrik Volkov

St Venti's School towered overhead all other buildings in the magical realm. It was the height of magical achievement, to be accepted into a school like this. It was the pinnacle of strength and talent. Of endurance.

So why, Adrik wondered, Am I of all people here?

He'd never had any particular talents, besides being unnoticeable. Gazes had always passed over him back home, no matter how loudly he screamed. Magic had been a talent that'd helped him, sure, but he wasn't that good.

I don't belong here. The fact echoed in his chest over and over again. He knew it- so why couldn't that voice just shut up already? He was supposed to be happy! Joyous, even! This was his chance! This was his chance for fame, to finally have all the friends in the world, all the worshippers, all those people clambering for his attention. Him! Clambering for him!

But still, the doubt thudded in his mind continuously. Why did they accept him? Was it supposed to be a joke? Just some silly little colour tricks and he got into a prestigious magical school?

Adrik took a step closer and ran his hand over the red brick. Certainty pounded into his heart. It didn't matter if it was a joke or not. He was here, at his dream school, ready to learn magic and blow everyone away. And make as many friends as the building allowed.

With a deep breath he took a step forward and pushed open the door.

"Isla Greer...Adrik Volkov."

She sighed.

"Sit yourselves down, quickly. After dining you two will come to my office."

Khione pursed her lips.

"Anyways! Here in St Venti's, there is a little 'trick' to dining. You see the empty plates? Just say out loud what you would like to eat, and it'll appear. Be reasonable however, as this only works for food items only."

She smiled.

"Bon appetit!"

The smell of the outdoors was releasing. It felt so good to be away from watching eyes, out of the stuffy air.

The thought of making friends came and went quickly. As appealing as it was, shyness got the best of her. It was much more fun to flirt anyways. Or her definition of flirting. And it definitely looked fun. Flirting didn't require her to sit down and have a conversation with someone. It didn't require to explain her past, to explain herself. The weird looks were enough.

Her hand found her tail of it's own accord, her hand running over the familiar red and black fur. It's been so long, she almost forgot how she got it.

Almost.

Adrik Volkov

Already in trouble? Adrik winced. That... wasn't good. He prayed he didn't get yelled at. At least there was a girl with him- but judging by her evil eye as she glared back at him, he didn't think it was a good thing.

"Guess it's time to sit down..." he mumbled. He surveyed the room- but it didn't really seem to have... anyone friendly.

There was some shy looking guy sitting down. Adrik took a seat next to him and muttered something to the plate. A pile of ramen appeared, liquid spilling out over the sides of the plate.

He stared blankly.

It became spaghetti a second later.

Huh. Weird. Is it broken, or...?

He shrugged and took up a fork.

Isla Greer

She'd already eaten- she didn't need to eat with a bunch of hormonal teenagers with an appetite for food as greasy as their faces. She grimaced at the amount of edible heart attacks around the table and turned to leave- but accidentally bumped into somebody.
