So basically I was fishing in emera beach

when I had the fish on the line dont ask me why I pressed the space bar

and the timing changed

i spammed the space bar till it showed "An error occured ... #01" or smthing like that

oh lol I just ignore that, it always happens when you accidentally press pull rod 2 times, the time will reduce by half too :P

but its not caused by pressing pull rod 2 times (doesnt that just pushes the karp shadow towards the top of the bar)
and the time was not halved it was well random

and well its still a bug seeing that it will change the time i think not sure

Sure, it's a bug
But why would you do this? You wouldn't spam the space bar
And since it escapes in the end, this wouldn't help you

Just, in my opinion and mine only, it doesn't make sense to put effort and energy into fixing this bug that no one will ever do


For those of you who can't see the video, this person is spamming the space bar after they got the fish on the hook. Every time the space bar is pressed, the countdown timer changes to a random number.

"Pull rod" [in the middle] is the queue for the Beach to start the fishing mini game.
"Pull" [on the left] is what you press to get the Magikarp to the top.

Pressing spacebar repeats the last "click" you did. In this case, it tricks the Beach into fishing and reeling in another pokémon, which causes the changing time.

However, each "Pull Rod" takes energy, because reeling in fish takes energy. Also, while the time might change, it'll still stop the timer once the original [first] timer runs out, hence the "It escaped" even if the newest timer isn't actually over yet.

Yes, this is a bug, but different from any other bugs, you can't really take advantage of this one.

Does this issue still occur?

There was a fix recently which should prevent the "Reel in rod" button from being pressed multiple times.
