“Mr Detilander? Please, take centre stage for this matter.” Tilly says, clicking her fingers. Said man appears, holding up a pocket watch. “My Tanji.” He says with a flourish “It allows me to alter time in certain places. I know not how to fully explain this, but rest assured, outside these walls, it is as if time has stopped, but not stopped. To them, these hours you spend in here are mere seconds. Do not worry” Mister Detilander bows, then disappears, probably to do something else.

Tilly hands Binghe a piece of paper “I can hear you cursing me, you know. My Tanji sort of grants me some kind of ability. I might explain more.”

To his credit, Binghe didn't look at that shocked only smiling ruefully at Tilly before folding the paper up and tucking it away. Were people now not allowed the privacy of their own thoughts? No matter, what really mattered was getting a grasp on how the others worked and how to best us-ahem assist them and incorporate their own strengths into his strategy. Tilly surely should have had some kind of idea what Ongreuktnm's master would be like given it's duality but he would have to watch his thoughts more closely. Dangerous, but Binghe could live with that. It was boring if prey didn't at least fight back. Smoothing down imaginary creases in his jacket, he glanced around at the others gathered. There was only so much he could learn about others by being a passive presence so he first tackled the person with the biggest air of mystery around them.

Stepping up to a suave looking man sulking on the floor and refusing the refreshments, Binghe greeted Kahiri with a warm and inviting smile. "Hello there, sir. I couldn't help but notice you as I don't believe I have seen you during the previous introductions. Could you perhaps be the one that Miss Tilly mentioned, the one with the butterfly necklace? It is a honor to meet your acquaintance." He inquired jovially, staying a respectful distance apart yet making it clear that he was conversing with Kahiri.

"Oh?" Mehul didn't know what to expect, but amongst other things he heard today, this didn't surprize him much. He silently backed off to the tables and finally gave a closer glance to the table. To his stupor, the food did look unique to extents. He picked up a plum-like orange fruit and gave it a bite. It had an... interesting taste. It was sort of spicy, sort of sweet. He liked it. He finished it swiftly and took a loaf of bread with the sparkly butter. That, wasn't as tasty. But he finished it nevertheless. He didn't like throwing food half eaten. He supposed if he was to train with the others in this room and "save the world" along with them, as if they were the part of a big superhero team, he should probably get to knowing them all. So he approached the girl, the one with the ring, Bree. "Hey there, that ring you got, incredulous!"

'Would it be that much better to fight and perish than to perish without?' Ramson stopped his thought there. It was not easy to just process everything that was said, so he chose to ignore all that was not related to himself.

The explanation he had just received was... questionable. Entering a cyberspace of this device? That was indeed good, but what were the limits? He could not enter another device, fine. However, would it be the same if the two were connected via, say, USB? What about Bluetooth? If not then couldn't he access them through shortcuts within his own device? In the first place, what use would this cyberspace even have? 'Depending upon the time limit I am unsure if I would even be able to, say, hide from these "bad guys" in there.' Ramson felt as though his train of thought was running headfirst into a rock.

The food was surprising too. 'It's not poisoned, is it?' He wished to ask, but did not want to cut into the conversation which itself he felt was too far away to start paying attention from then on.

Any doubts of her magical ability where swept away when Bree hears the table and other smaller items come crashing down seemingly from the sky. She jumps at the sound, but relaxes at the reassurance that it was food. Bree refuses the offer to eat, she had just eaten before she arrived here anyway. So she was left alone to stand in awkward silence when a familiar voice, she assumed it was from Mehul, speaks.

"Indeed it is" Bree responds, she doesn't bother turning her head to face Mehul. She could hear him just fine staring at, well, what she assumed was the far wall. "You choose, apologies I've already forgotten the name- a sword correct?" Bree asks. She smirks and adds "you picked a mighty fine Tanji considering our circumstances." Now she turns her head towards him, wanting to at least be respectful if they were going to have a conversation. "Tell me, what made you want to pick that Tanji in particular?"

"The Grendulas, yes, a sword. Specifically a katana." He mused. "I'm still not sure why I picked it, but it just, attracted me. None of the other items out there felt like it could belong to me, but he did. Even though I've never owned a sword before per say." He chuckled. "I thought I would just pick anything random and just return it later, but now that I think, this particular...tanji, as they say, did have a specific pull towards me. Overmore, I've been deeply interested in Japanese culture since I was a child, so gimme a gun and a katana, and I'll choose the katana anyday. Despite having no training, though that's not very wise when I think it through." He laughed. "What about you? Like rings much?"

Bree laughs at the question and shakes her head. "I've never had any interest in jewelry. But I just had this strange gut sensation that I should enter the store. That's when I chose the Domberdem... I didn't even know that there were other options until afterwards." She smiles and places her thumb on the ring, trying to memorize the shape of it underneath her fingertip. "I'm sure if you chose, or rather, the Grendulas chose you, it's for a reason. Maybe you have some hidden skill that you never knew about? Either way, I'm sure you'll have plenty of opportunities to practice using it." Turning away from him now she adds, "It's quite strange, knowing now that we are in the midst of a war."

Mehul smiles at her answer, and nods when she mentions there being a reason of him getting Grendulas. He hadn't sussed out her disability yet. At the last sentence, he grimaced, and kinda chuckled. "A war we knew nothing about until we were kinda kidnapped by total strangers because they gave us some item to choose. It's comedic yet so serious. I just hope whatever comes forth, we live through it-"

"You're right" Bree responds with a smile. In a way, that's kinda exactly what happened. She didn't know how to feel about this whole ordeal. On one hand, she was excited to escape her quiet life and do something important. But on the other, she was terrified. Would she even be able to survive? She didn't like the idea of dying all that much.

"What do you think about the others?" Bree asks. "Something tells me that our survival is going to depend on how well we can work together." She didn't know how to feel about everyone. The few who she heard talk seemed friendly enough, but one couldn't make an accurate judgement based off of a few words.

Mehul shuddered at the thought. Yes, if they were some superhero team, teamwork was something they really needed to survive. "I don't know, who can judge anyone just by a glance. Looks are deceiving at most." He gazed over the others once again, observing their actions. "Only if we knew if this tanji selection was not something totally random and based on some high tech spying or magic that deemed us worthy of it, we could just trust everyone as they are."

"I'm sure we can trust them. But that doesn't mean it's possible to be able to work with all of them." She laughs and adds "yup, looks can be deceiving. That's why I'm fortunate enough to not have to worry about being fooled by them. I can judge others by what they say and how they say it." She grins. "It's quite a useful skill, despite the disadvantages that come with it."

That was true. Trust and teamspirit didn't necessarily go hand in hand. Mehul raised an eyebrow when Bree mentioned not being deceived by looks. No one could possibly be careful enough to never be. Then the truth dawned on him. His eyes widen a bit, and he asks, "Can you not see through your eyes?" It might be a sensitive question, he thought, but he had to know- there wasn't any eminent problems by the fact, except all the problems blindness could cause, of course, but he had heard, how being disabled of one sense honed so many others in people. So what she said made sense in a way, if it was true that she was blind.

"How very tactful." Ramson could not help but reply to what his companion had just said. He seemed just as mindless as usual, although the reply itself was rather unusual for him. "Oh, excuse me." He said as he held his head. He had already started eating, and now returned to it without any further comments.

Tilly laughs “No, Mr Ramson, the food isn’t poisoned. To be honest, I never knew who you guys were gonna be till you walked into the store. You weren’t drawn here by chance, you were specifically chosen, before this world began, to wield the Tanji. It could have been anyone else, but you guys were chosen. I’d say it’s an honor, to hold and use such beautiful, interesting objects.”


Faith, meanwhile, is still sitting on that same chair, observing everyone and watching them interact.


Tilly bows, before exiting the room “I’m going to find Mr Detilander, so you can begin training. Feel free to intermingle and have a chat while I’m gone. I won’t be long”


Faith gets up, walking over to Binghe. “Hi” she says, quietly.

Binghe had been familiarizing himself with Ongreuktnm again, letting callused hands run over the familiar patterns. It was nice to have the item in his hands, the familiarity of it oddly satisifying. So entraced by it, Binghe didn't realized that someone had approached him and startled, raising his head before smiling politely at Faith. "From the Tanji around your neck, I assume you are Faith? It is an honor to be working with you." He said smoothly, getting up as well to bow but paused before holding out his hand to shake. From what he remembered from Tilly's explanation, Faith's Tanji held a bloody past and he was curious to know what kind of person would be wielding such a powerful yet dangerous object.

“Yes. I am Faith.” She states, shaking Binghe’s hand. “You are Binghe, and you have a pet named A-di. Your Tanji is the Ongrektum, I think I am right in saying?” Faith held her locket, saying “I honestly still don’t know what to think about this. I was only heading out to a cafe. All this….it’s a bit strange isn’t it”

"Ah you flatter me to retain such knowledge about someone like me." He laughed lightly, rubbing the back of his head bashfully. "Truthfully I too am quite perplexed as to this turn of events. After all, I am not what one would call a hero. One may even call me a member of the background cast." If this was a book, Binghe would probably be the villain actually if he thought about it. A minor and easy defeated one in all likelihood, but a villain nonetheless. But Binghe always had a problem with how stories characterized villains as those who were true to themselves and were yet still antagonized. Oh well, villains were the heroes of their own stories so who was Binghe to judge when roles were interchangeable depending on the lens that one looked through. "Well whatever these people have in store, it is comforting to know that we will not be venturing alone. I hope that we can get along, Faith." Show me that you are useful
