is it allowed to ask mods for say a link to the older suggestion if your (suggestion) thread was locked and not approved because of being a duplicate?
(because i really searched for one and i couldn't find it)
given the thread is locked that would be via pm or palpad then so it would be as long as they allow these of course!
but i would also understand if they got annoyed at being pestered by everyone whose threads they already had to lock (and they do give the reason too, i would just like to also have the link to the older suggestion)
and im generally not a fan of talking to mods directly (they have better use for their time lol)
so i figured i'd ask first if it's allowed to do that?
(also im sorry if i come across as rude, mean, or passive-aggressive, i don't mean to, im just not very good at talking with people and it's getting late here)

Though, honestly, if politely asking if they have a link handy because you couldn't find the original suggestion is not allowed, I'm very disappointed.

im not trying to use the mods as 'personal search engine' either; i genuinely can't find the older suggestion and i genuinely tried (i went through all 60 pages of a rather generic keyword search (to ensure i'd definitely see it) and some other, more specific ones that would have to show up in a similar suggestion anyways, most of which before i suggested in the first place already (not the entire 60 pages before, i have to admit that, though as i said, the other keywords would have to show up in similar suggestions either way) and again after i heard it was a duplicate after all, and i really, genuinely can't find it, and i don't know what more to do other than actually open every single post in the suggestions forum (including rejected obv) and read those too; i just really genuinely can't find it, but i know the mod did; that's the only reason i want to ask them)

The only things that might annoy staff members are unfriendly/impolite requests, like "hey unlock my thread it's not fair".

Honestly, if you're patient and polite about it [as you have been in this thread] and really can't find it, you can always shoot me a PM or a PP to ask for clarification. Most of the time, a simple search drops the results they need on the first page, but that's not always the case. So, if you didn't find it, just shoot me a message!
[If anyone else has the same problem, they can do the same, of course]
