"I couldn't grab anything either. I got tossed out of the Cornucopia like a ragdoll." Tenacity shrugged. "Sorry." He still kept his wing as hidden as he could, hoping not to worry the others. The wing didn't hurt at all, it was just difficult to use against somebody if the last quarter of the limb was flopping around uselessly.

"It's fine. We can work with what we have." Akane said in a matter-of-fact tone. "We'll need wood from trees so we can have sticks and planks. That way we can reinforce the house Coraline made. We'll also need to find cows and sheep and pigs. And we'll need a garden for a steady food source. But the wood is first."

Tenacity opened and closed his mouth a few times. "Right, about that.. These wings are actually a few feet too short to fly with, and they don't have the proper flight feathers." He gnawed on his lip. "A-and, uh... Even outside the anatomical restrictions.. I uh..." He scratched the back of his neck. "I had a bit of a run-in with the ox again?" A nervous smile crept across his face. I'm dead. She's gonna break my neck right here for being stupid.

"What did he do to you?" Kayda asks evenly, although there was a threatening tone of anger mixed in there as well. She crosses her arms giving him a scolding look. It was very apparent that she wasn't going to back down without getting an answer.

Tenacity kept his mouth shut, but he did spread his wings. On his right hand side, the wing had an awkward bend after the final joint. It didn't bleed, and the skin wasn't punctured, but the bone was clearly broken. If we take it off at the base, it won't get in the way. Maybe if we take both off, we won't risk the other one getting broken. Compared to the other wing on the left, the right side was a picture of pure calamity.

Kayda's eyes soften. Although internally, she wants to explode. She wants to track the Ox down and beat him up. She didn't care that he was too strong for her, she had enough anger to take him down. She stays quiet, and moves closer to him, gently examining the wing. "Does it hurt?" She asks softly

"Not even a little bit." His left wing tucked in, and his right wing pulled back a little bit too. After a moment, it extended again. "Muscle memory.." Shoved in the waistband of his pants, his eye patch and glove were filthy. They had been forgotten since the beginning, now useless for battle. "Although, I have to ask you.." He grinned, the same grin he'd used when first scooping her off the ground. "Do I look good in a tank top?"

As Tenacity and Kayda walked they were forced to stop when two sheep, one white and one light gray, suddenly blipped into existence in front of them. The sheep seemed generally unaware of them as they nibbled on the grass and "baa"ed, sometimes even walking a few steps to another patch of grass.

Coraline merely jumped in and out of the ocean as she retrieved fish for the group to eat later that night. Akane, who was working on crafting stronger tools and an underground garden, was left in charge as it seemed that she knew the most about this world they'd been thrown into.

Kayda takes a moment to look Tenacity up and down as if this were the first time she has ever seen him. "Hmm. The smallest amused grin appears on her face when she answers, "honestly? You do, but light green definitely does not look good on you." Her smile fades when she adds, "Don't try to change the subject. We'll get revenge on the Ox, but my attention will be on you first. Ironically, I don't know too much about fixing wings. Do you think the bone is totally broken? Maybe we can save it?" She asks. She yelps out in surprise when sheep appear out nowhere.

Tenacity shrugged. "I've never broken a wing before." Holding his wing out to the side as far as he could, he reached out with one arm. "If we were to find the right stick, maybe you could make a brace?" Tipping the end of his wing up a bit, he chewed on his lip. "This is going to sound brutal or disgusting to you, but do you think you could tug that into place?" The bone was not aligned as it was supposed to be, making it difficult to make a brace of any kind for it.
