Tenacity nodded, then picked Meg up. "Hold on tight, we'll be moving fairly fast." Glancing at the ox boy, Tenacity frowned. "He won't be down for long. We have to find Kayda." He started to sprint back towards the center, slowing down to avoid the swing of a sword.

Rivulet wat searching for any kind of water. Any body of water would do. She needed it to take full advantage of her power. Even though she could potentially manipulate any liquid as long as it contained some water, water itself was her best bet.

Tenacity shook his head, glancing around himself. He tried his best to hide the awkward bend in his right wing, just past the last joint. It wasn't difficult, but it wasn't easy either. His wings were tucked into his back, although it was clear on was injured; the right wing hung down an inch or so below the other.

Setting Meg on the ground, Tenacity glanced over to where the ox boy had last been laying. He was no longer there. He wasn't anywhere to be seen, actually. Tenacity wasn't sure if he should be relieved or worried.

Coraline slid off of Akane's back, allowing her to finally sling on the backpack. "Ideally, I'd like to put as much distance between us and the cornucopia in the forest, but I don't want to leave Kayda behind." Akane grabbed Meg's arm. "No, stay here. If you die Kayda would kill us all."

The moment the Games started Kayda was met with trouble. She feels the breath get knocked out of her when a body slams into her stomach, headfirst. Hands grip her arms, but the grip was weak. The fool had slammed his nose into her stomach and was struggling to fight through the pain. She kicks him off, the momentum slamming her onto her back. A tribute stands above her, a sword in his hands. He slams it towards her only for it to bury itself into the ground.
Crows explode into the air, all taking flight and desperately searching for Tenacity and her alliance. With a relieved breath, she spots them. She flies down in front of them, taking shape into her human self. Her face is pale from her near death expierence. "I'm okay" she assures Tenacity before he can speak.

Tenacity gasped then sighed when Kayda took form. "Alright, now we need to get moving. I'm not sure which place would be the best to go to, though. There's a delicate balance we need to find." Glancing around, he bit his lip. "I think we should avoid the mushroom fields, though. Who knows whether or not they're toxic or something."

"Whoa, easy now" Kayda tells Meg with a wince. Her body was slightly bruised from the attack. Luckily nothing was broken. She glances behind her, looking slightly horrified at the sight. "Tenacity is right, we have to go now. I don't care where we go, just so long as it's far from this"

"Glad you made it, let's get going before we get killed." Akane breathed in relief. "I was going to say let's head to the Taiga, but I saw some run that way, The forest is our second best bet." The group followed Akane who's eyes were constantly flicking about trying to glean from what little they could see. Birch trees, good for getting lots of sticks. A few Oak trees, they might give us some apples. Wolves, neutral unless provoked, but can tame with bones. A small pack of wolves stopped their pursuit of a fox to look at the group before continuing.

When the group finally found a clearing. As the group sat down to go over their supplies, Coraline started picking up dirt, which no one minded really so long as she stayed within their sight. After about ten minutes of discussing their course of action (shelter, then food, then making beds) when they heard, "Yebby!" The small gang turned and found Coraline had already beaten them to the house making.*

"Oh." Akane found was all she could say. "Nice work there trooper."

Akane dug through her pack: a sleeping bag that reflected body heat, a first aid kit, some coils of wire, an empty waterskin, some bags of food, and a few granola bars. "It's better than nothing. What'd you all you guys get?"

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't grab anything" Kayda says with a sigh. "I can't grab large items in my swarm form-" she pales again as she remembers the fight. If she would have hesitated even for a second, she would be dead. Her, the one who was supposed to be a master at hand to hand combat would've died by the very thing she is good at. It can be over that quickly, she realizes that now.
