It was at that moment Coraline realized she had a huge problem: talking. She was most fluent in Inkling and had a decent amount of Octoling under her belt, but while she could understand English with no issue whenever she spoke it was broken.

"How do you feel about your score? Certainly, you must be scared of being a target with a score like that!"

"Could be worse." Coraline hesitantly spoke, trying to form a decent sentence that he could understand, it was noted that while the Inkling tones weren't as noticeable they were still there. "Higher number. . .harder to win?" Coraline was internally screaming in unease.

Tenacity smiled to Kayda as he approached, his face becoming less neutral. In fact, it was something new. He was nervous. "Might I have this dance, Ms. Oak?" He gave a small bow, then held out his hand to her. He wasn't sure if she would accept it, but he hoped she would. If she didn't, he wouldn't know what to do. He'd be stuck there, awkwardly holding his hands behind his back.

"Very true!" Ceasar replies. He doesn't seem to react at all to her suddenly speaking English nor does he seem to care that's it's not perfect. "Do you have any family behind? Maybe is there anything you wish to tell them? They'll be watching these interviews tonight."

"Of course" Kayda responds warmly. She accepts his hand. But before she can even begin dancing she suddenly hears something unbelievable. Ceasar may not have cared, but Kayda certainly did. She turns to look at Coraline, her eyes wide. She was certain that Coraline haven't spoken English before.

Coraline nodded. "Me mom uhnd buhbe zizter." Coraline spoke, the words rolling somewhat unnaturally off her tongue. "I juzt wuhnt dem to ztuhe zuhfe uhnd to be zchruhg no muhtter whuht dee zee. And duht I love dem vere much."

(I found a broken English translator so I decided to use it.)

Ceasar looks incredibly confused, but it disappears quickly. He takes pity on the girl. "I'm sure that they love you too." He responds. "But is it possible that your potential loss will be hard on them? Especially since they already lost a daughter."

Tenacity looked too, hearing a voice he found recognizable, yet completely alien at the same time. He watched for a moment as Coraline spoke, the English fractured, yet understandable. Looking at Kayda, he smiled a little. "My, how our little girl has grown," he joked.

Meg got a call on her phone and she walked to a quiet spot and answered it and said "I'm hello" .the person in the other end said"is this meg".she said"yea this is meg".the person on the other end said"I am very sorry to inform you that your aunt has passed away and if you survive the arena you will be put up for adoption".Meg said"o oh ok"and she hung up.she was heartbroken her last family member gone she walked back silent and sat down next to a wall and put her head on her knees and wrapped her arms around her legs.

Coraline's eyes widened as the look of calm and somewhat composed changed to one of the mixed emotions.

"But is it possible that your potential loss will be hard on them? Especially since they already lost a daughter."

Skyla. How'd they know? Coraline felt her tongue become heavy as she fought for a response, her gaze went to the floor as she gave a small nod and a quiet, "Aw-dway-squid. . ." She bit the inside of her cheek fighting tears as she got out, "Thee'l find uh wuhe to get drowgh it. We did it uhce. . ." it had been noted her tone had dropped a few octaves.

"She grew up to fast!" Kayda replies happily. But her smile disappears quickly when Ceasar's questions seemed to take a sudden turn. Her fists clench as she shoots daggers at him.

Ceasar's eyes almost look sad as he asks: "But what would Skyla think? She'd be disappointed that you were here right?" He asks, ignoring her answer altogether.

Tenacity squeezed Kayda's hand gently, laying he other hand on her shoulder. His face was dark, his eyes fixed on Caesar. Tenacity, although wanting Kayda to stand down, didn't want to stand down himself. His wings spread a little bit, his muscles tensing. He wanted to rush out onto the stage, to save Coraline from that monster. But he couldn't...

Coraline shut her eyes tightly as she tried to remember Skyla, her sister too young and gentle Zerhf-myooh! Hway, hebbi-yoh! (Stop it! I don't want to talk about this!) "I duh't know, we. . .I-" Her voice cracked as she struggled to keep it together. "I duht wuhnt to tuhlk uhbowt her uhnemore."

Akane cursed. "Isn't this illegal?" Akane asked both Tenacity and Kayda despite not saying their names, she sounded angry. "He's taking this way too far! Can't we do something?"

Ceasar acts as if he cannot hear her. "Final question, how do you feel about the Capitol, about Snow? Do you want revenge for your sister?" Another loaded question, just like what happened with Kayda. Poor Ceasar looks distraught. He didn't want to hurt her, but orders are orders.

....

It takes everything Kayda has to not rush out there and punch Ceasar. He can act like that to her all he wants. She can take it. But to Coraline!? That's crossing the line!

He scrunched up tighter so no one can see her.Frank woke up and started running his face on her and when she didn't repond he went to kayda and pawed at her leg until she knowdessed him.

Admittledly Coraline already knew the awnser to that, she never wanted revenge, never needed to. Just her sister. She would give anything to get her back. But Coraline doesn't say this, instead she tells Cesar, "Al i wuhnt iz me zizter buhck."

The buzzer sounds and after enduring a final bow with him Coraline quickly leaves the stage the same way she had entered, through her Cyan ink trail. Once off stage, she runs back to her room as the tears finally escape her. The cameras gleefully train on the inkling for as long as they can which isn't long, but it is enough to show that the questions really hit her close to home.

There was a noticeably pained expression on Ceasar's face, as though asking those personal questions were killing him.

Tenacity snarled as Coraline ran off stage, his eyes fixed on Caesar. "Kayda, go check on Coraline." His voice was tight, his jaw tense. Standing at the very edge of the stage, he watched Caesar. As soon as he's off that stage... In the one eye that was uncovered, rage boiled. His brow was lowered dangerously, darkness passing across his face.

Kayda recognized the look in his eyes. She knew how difficult it would be to convince Tenacity to not do whatever he is thinking. She also knew that Ceasar deserved his rage. "Don't do anything stupid" she warns, even though she knew Tenacity was going to do otherwise.
As she races after Coraline she notices a distraught Meg. "Are you okay? Walk with me, what's wrong?" She gently grabs Meg's arm and helps her onto her feet so that the two can walk to Coraline's room and talk along the way.

Megami stares at Ceasar. "Disgusting. I wish it could be my turn. Because oh boy, am I going to piss everyone off." she mutters. She watches Coraline leave the stage area and shakes her head. "Doing that to a little girl? Wow." she says, sounding angry. After listening to Kayda and to Meg and to Coraline and to Akane and to Tenacity, she knows she can't hurt any of them, much less kill any of them. All she can think of is making herself a bigger target, so they all have a better chance at survival. She looks over at Silver and Hoku talking in low tones. Both of them are like her little sisters. "Stupid morals." she mutters. "If only I hated all of them. Then I wouldn't be in this mess."
His smile has a grip on me <3

Caesar takes a deep, composing breath. "Megami" he calls up. The crowd seemed ignorant of Caesar's earlier discomfort and the pain he brought to Coraline. They cheer her up towards the stage as if nothing has happened.
