The idea that first popped into my head was to release it in a way similar to how Shaymin is released. To elaborate, I was thinking the event could be something like this:
Every one-hundred years, a rare meteor shower arises, right above Emera. After careful inspection, scientists discovered that these weren't just any ordinary meteors: they're a rare species of Pokémon, now called Minior! However, these mysterious Pokémon aren't any ordinary Pokémon...there's a special core enclosed in their rocky exterior. Minior only shows itself to trainers it strongly trusts...will you be one of them?
So how does the event work?
After a user makes a random amount of interactions, a Minior sprite will appear in their userbar (similar to the Shaymin event.) The chances of getting a core form will be lower than getting the meteor form, but the more interactions a user makes, the higher the chance of getting a core! As long as a user is interacting, they can continue getting Miniors in their userbar.
That's the base idea that I have. If you guys have any other ideas, don't hesitate to leave them in a reply!

And would it be an all the time encounter or a yearly event? I'm not sure minior is something you should only be able to get for a few weeks a year, since it's needed for the Alola dex, the price would probably skyrocket if it were a single annual event.

We all know, there will be users trying to get their hands on shinies. And for one poor user it didn't worked out by the shaymin event. How about after a lot , and I mean a lot of interacting, there will be a set number in the system, that allows user giving out a shiny version? Maybe around 500k~? And then another 500k~ for a shiny core version? Also what works fine with me, if the shiny rate goes up by 50% or more. In case for some reasins, we can't have a set number.
This is just an idea I have, because I don't want to see the ppl close to me sad again, after making so many interactions but never getting a shiny.

another idea would be to probaby dont make it an seasonal event (like shaymin/kuyrem,zeraora) but instead make it depending on weather (similiar like thunderstorms have an effect on the beach)...and i think there is one type of weather that might fit quite well ;D
anyways thats just an additional idea from me and im overall supporting any interaction-related event/re-release of minior :)

The interaction event is a good idea, seeing as it's encouraging me to sacrifice my hands for a Pokemon. Maybe it also has a random chance of hatching a random minor colour?
