The war had been going on for...200 hundred years now? Who was counting? Everyone had lost track. What were we even fighting for? Territory? Honor? Our own pride? So many Pokemon have died...Many agree this needs to end..but no side is willing to back down just yet.

The war had started many years ago, and Pokemon died constantly from the brutal fighting constantly going on in this useless, bloody war. Many Pokemon...including the ones of Legend... including Xerneas, the god of life itself...

However, all was not lost. Before his death, Xerneas restored the lives of all the Legendary Pokemon that died before him, using the last of his energy, before he fell asleep himself. However, the Legendaries were unable to come back in the way that they were intended. Rather, the souls of the Legendary Pokemon came back as regular Pokemon, these Pokemon however were...strange.

The first thing up with these..reincarnates..was that they were born to seemingly the wrong parents, for example, a bulbasaur being born to two Charizard parents. They also retained the eye color of their former, truer form, as well as different abilities resembling somewhat, but not quite, their Legendary glory form, as well as not retaining their previous memories. As such, they were destined to be outcasts.

The reincarnates are hiding in their own tiny village now, living only among themselves. Xerneas's voice echoes in their ears, however...End the war...end it and you shall return.

Spiri was going about her daily life in the Outcast village. She had come back with resources to share with the others, mostly food, but she'd had a run in with an enemy fighter, and was forced to kill him. She brought back his weapons for use of the other villagers, the closest thing to friends Spiri had. Though, formerly being the legendary Pokemon Reshiram, Spiri had lost all memory of her former self, and was clueless as to just why she was different...but oh well. The night her parents had cast her out was about a year ago now...but it still hurt. She'd been forced to follow as all the 'misfits' were removed from their previous homes after being there for basically their whole lives, mocked and belittled for small differences, but differences nonetheless. Mortals feared what they didn't understand. Spiri herself barely understood why her parents were Absol. Why her fire was different. Why she could rat out those who lied... Just what am I...? she always asked herself. Every time, a voice would echo back. "You are the saviour of this land...end this war... Yes, the war. The war that raged throughout her childhood. That voice was of her imaginary angel, telling her she was something other than an abomination... or was it...? No, the Devine creatures of legend died long ago.

Lenora snuggled closer to herself. She was quite alone, no one had noticed her for years. Her six tales curled around her, she sighed a little.

Incarnate had tucked herself up in the shadows of a few dark trees, brooding quietly for once without any loud noises of the other villager Pokémon. Her ebony veil masked her tumultuous features, and her normally pale blind-blue eyes were closed to mask the virulent storm within.

Zephyr zipped around the village, a mischievous grin on his face. He knew exactly what he was going to do today. Spiri had seem fairly lost in her thoughts when she had left the village, leaving him plenty of time to prepare. He slipped into the Growlith's house, carefully maneuvering his way through the furniture. Finally, he stopped in front of a metallic box. It was a crude piece of technology, and rather cramped he realized as he slid into it, however it would work well for what he was hoping for. Now inhabiting and controlling the machinery, he waited for Spiri to enter her home.

Spiri dropped her items off at the center of the village, where the Pokemon placed the day's gatherings. Spiri spent most of her time outside of town, gathering for survival in the war filled zone. Little to never did she spend time playing around, now that she was fending for herself, there was no time to waste. Weapons...she had enough with her fire and the few daggers and shotguns she'd received from fighting outside. She had mostly run out of guns, as her four limbs would never be able to use them properly. She's sometimes hold a dagger in her mouth after using her fire attacks to quickly kill and enemy. Around the Growlithe's neck was a pouch containing the daggers in question, which she pulled out when she needed, though she preferred to use her teeth and claws. Among the villagers, Spiri was generally one of the most approachable, though she had low tolerance for silliness. Though silliness and playfulness were two different words in her book. Her book could be considered different to most others, however.

Lenora sighed. She slowly stood up and scratched behind her ear. With a wince, she stopped. She sheaths her claws and exits the small tree house she had made. Tree house was rather generous, it was more like a shack. She leaps delicately from the branch and winces. "Shake is generous." she mutters.

Tap, tap, tap...Summer cantered down the street, deciding to go hang around the village, looking for something peculiar to check out. It was Autumn, so she was feeling extra curious. Sniffing the air, she detected the scent of bread from the local bakery. Is that croissants? She turned in that direction and sped off.

Raina tapped the water in the lake with a paw absent-mindedly, and all of it instantly cleared. All murk and pollution, plus all trash, had disappeared completely. The lake was where a lot of the pokemon came to get water from, so Raina had taken it upon herself to make sure they had clear and clean drinking water.

Hikari twitched his ears as he ran to the center of the small village, the thought of being an outcast has always been around his mind but he mostly ignored it, the thought always linger in his head ever since his parents disown him a year ago, well he shouldn’t think about it too much for now, it’s time for the day’s gathering after all, even if he couldn’t be much of a help

Spiri simply calmly blinked as she watched the other villagers calmly move about. She headed to the bakery, which they'd found a way to run without much need for Pokemon to run it. The good thing about their small village was the lack of need for currency of any kind, as all one had to do was contribute, which Spiri had already done, with the food she had brought back.

"Hey, Spiri!" Summer called out, an excited look on her face. "You're back!" She trotted over, grinning. "Wotcher got? I bet you managed to bring something great! You always do!" The Autumn form Deerling hopped up and down, grinning at the Growlithe. Spiri was a pretty cool guy.

Raina stretched and decided she should head back to town to grab something to eat. Maybe something from the bakery would be nice... She headed off in its direction.

"Just food for now, and weapons." She flicked her tail to point back the way she came. "I left it in the gathering place if you want to pick some up. For now i'm going to pick up some food." She entered the bakery, scanning the options. She didn't want to take too much, for fear of not leaving enough. They had limited resources, after all.

"Nah, I'm good." Summer wasn't much good with weapons, but she packed a nasty Jump Kick. She preferred to fight physically rather than with weapons, for some reason.

Raina made her way over to the duo. Giving Summer a slight grin and Spiri a respectful dip of her head, she joined them as they went into the bakery.

Both of them contemplated over what to get.

Spiri picked out a croissant and some kind of frosted pastry for herself before moving out of the way to enjoy it in peace. Peace...she wondered how long the quietness in their small town would last... Spiri knew the war was still raging outside, and it got closer and closer to them each day.

The small Shinx decided to head to the bakery to maybe grab something to eat, it’s not rare to see others there so maybe he can talk to someone? It’s hard to socialise when everyone have stuff to do after all, but then again, the war is still raging outside, they just hope it won’t hit their town, atleast not for now. As soon as he puts his paw into the bakery, he noticed Spiri and walked over to her “what are you grabbing there” he said despite it being obvious she was just grabbing a croissant and a frosted pastry, to be honest he just wanted a conversation startup but can’t think of much to do that, and he’s extremely oblivious sometimes

"Oh, just some breakfasty stuff.." Spiri responded, having been startled from her thoughts of the war. Looking into the shinx's eyes, she could tell his intentions were to socialize, not exactly speaking out of curiosity of her food choice. That was fine by her, as it would distract her from the thoughts of the village they'd worked so hard on being destroyed.

“That’s nice, what did you bring back when you headed outside though?” Hikari said as he picked up a donut, he knew about the war outside, well everyone does anyways. It was dangerous and none of them wanted to be involve in it whatsoever( he always wanted to avoid the thought of the war but it’s hard to, especially when it’s literally happening outside their small town

Raiju sat near the entrance of the village, watching people enter in and out. He frowned, before getting up, moving close to the center. He was honestly just waiting for something to happen, and the nerves were unsettling. He stopped, looking at the town's weapon stash, before once more moving. He figured he'd make sure everything was going as planned.

"Some weapons and some berries. Also whatever cape that guy I killed was wearing." Spiri felt sick to her stomach, she hated killing, that she had needed to kill to save herself really hurt, but he'd just..attacked her! Spiri wouldn't hesitate to save herself, but she, as well as others, thought the war was pointless. The voice in her head echoed again. "This isn't you. End this war, you are strong..." The angel again...whispering...though sometimes Spiri found its words strange

“Wait, you killed someone?!” Hikari said, he felt sick to his stomach whenever the topic of killing or death comes up, even if it’s for self defence is it really worth it to go that far? But then suddenly he heard a voice, the same voice Spiri heard “end the war, please” he heard it a million times before, he just mostly ignored it, though he ways wondered if anyone else heard it

Spiri's ears went down, and her head drooped, her shoulders sagging a bit. "I had to...he ambushed me. He..called me a monster once he realized..who I was.." That had been heartbreaking. Spiri had been self conscious of her..altered appearance ever since she'd been born as a growlithe to Absol parents. She'd never forget the disgusted looks on their faces as she blinked her blue eyes at them. Growlithe were supposed to have dark eyes, so that was unusual from the start, not to mention her paler fluff. When the opponent reminded her of this, she had simply lost it. It was then she had lashed out with her claws. "Don't say that!" She'd cried out. She had cut his throat, feeling the warm blood flow onto her claws, it wasn't long before the light had faded from his eyes...
