Luke shoves his face in his book, not wanting to get noticed by the teacher or by Scarlet and be forced to fight or something else. He doesn’t look up in detention, trying to stay safe from others for he was one of the the nerds.

The teacher smirked. "I'll do you one better. . ." She purred then suddenly grabbed Scarlet by the hair and pulled her out of her seat and into the ring with the scrawny girl. Almost immideitly Scarlet could feel her powers getting amplified, it was almost similar to the rush of adraline from a fight or flight response, or drugs.

Stepping between Luke and Jack, Saburo tipped his head to stare at the other boy, eyes flashing dangerously. "What? Got beef to pick with him?" He snapped when Jack didn't seem like he was going to look away any time soon.

Julian sighed and dug around in his bag for headphones to drown out the rabble of stupid folk who thought it would be fun to pick fights. He glared at the teacher when their eyes meet but otherwise stayed silent and submissive, keeping to his studies

Snorting, Saburo leaned in close into Jack's personal space, a finger jabbing harshly into the other's chest. "Startled my ass. He was just sitting there reading. Tell how exactly you can get startled by someone turning pages." He sneered, rolling his eyes. Jesus, the room was filled with people who were either stupid as the day they were born, spinless cowards, or meat heads. No one here was any intelligent, always thinking with everything but their brain.

Luke gets up. Was nowhere safe? He moves to another empty desk with nobody near it and begins reading again. He was starting to get a little annoyed by everything at the moment.

Blinking, he digested the words given to him before bursting out laughing. Oh that was rich, telling him to watch his language. Compared to most people in the room, his swearing was tame, even babyish to some extent. "Suit yourself, horror nerd. Don't piss yourself if you turn around and see a puppy." He snickered and left Jack alone

Scarlet yelps out in a mixture of surprise and pain. The feeling vanishes when she is suddenly thrown into the arena. She glares at the teacher, ready to give her a piece of her mind when she suddenly feels... Different. What is this? she wonders as she stares down at her hands. She has been in an arena like this before, but it never came with a power amplifier. She curiously glances at the girl. "Um, I don't really want to fight you" she admits awkwardly. Although she doesn't take her eyes off of the girl, just in case she decides to attack.

Sam keeps his sword out, not trying to
be threatening, he just mindlessly has it
out. he resheathes it and decides that he
might as well catch up on some reading.
however, all the noise starts to annoy him,
so he moves next to Luke and begins to silently
read a book.

May frowned and glared at Scarlet. “Oh come on! How come she gets to have all the fun?!” She yelled out, the tone in her voice was either threatening or irritated, or maybe even both. She grumbled and continued to watch the attention hogger and the small girl fight. She really wished she could’ve been the one to say stuff about the “leader” or whoever that was.

Julie day there, shaking and terrified of what was about to happen. She didn’t want to fight anyone... She couldn’t...

Scarlet looks from the girl to May. "Why are you so interested in fighting?" Scarlet asks calmly. "If you are that desperate, then why don't you take the girl's place? Seems like you need some sense knocked into you."

Couldn't he even focus on the darn fight. " I agree with her. " he motioned towards May. " We can't wait it out. Why not watch it, because we'll have to fight, no matter what. " he huffed. Lorelai nodded in agreement, " Yah. Y'all gotsa stop being such softies, like, welcome to the real world! Not everything is cupcakes and rainbows. Ya need to face it and stop being such whiney babies. " she drawled.

Paulo turned his attention back to the fight, so many thoughts were echoeing through his head. Could he die?

Luke looks up from his book, looking at everything happening. He quickly looks back down, hoping nobody saw him do it for he didn’t want to be a sack of mashed potatoes or become one from the ring. He holds his case.

“Challenge f***ing accepted!” May yelled out with a grin on her face, slightly surprised people were on her side for once. She wanted to stand up and march up onto the arena, but she still had some respect for the person controlling this. If she was allowed to take her spot, she didn’t want a thank you from the wimp. She didn’t do it for her sake, she did it because she was bored.

Julie looked over at Sam and Luke, a sad expression plastered on her face. She hoped she could go up against Luke, since he might not be so brutal. Besides, if he won, he might not be bullied much anymore.

Sam speaks up (remember, most people think Sam cannot speak)
and says, "i'll agree to fight, as long as nobody else here has to
fight against their will." Sam readies his sword.

Sam takes off his hood, getting ready for
the fight, if he has to. this is the first time
Sam has truly revealed his face. he smiles
cutely and steadies his katana.

Luke doesn’t say anything and doesn’t move besides flipping the pages of his book. A bead of sweat rolls down his forehead and he continues reading, not wanting anyone to notice him or make him fight or something, maybe even worse. He also thinks that Scarlet was right and this was illegal.
