Rufflet looks happier at the sight and of the city and more importantly- the clouds. Rufflet squeaks out of bliss and starts to flap its tiny wings, trying to soar up to touch the clouds, then realizes that it needs to go back down to Sky, its trainer. Rufflet looks at the clouds one last time longingly, then tries to drop back down to the contest hall to go back to Sky, but can’t get of Amanda’s grip. It looks at Amanda, as if pleading to go back to Sky.

Sky is clearly startled at Rufflet’s disappearance and starts to panic, then calms down once he realizes that Rufflet can fly and can also find its way back to the contest hall. Then, Sky begins to wait

	Rufflet yelps and looks back at Sky, clearly worried and scared. Skys laughs and says to Rufflet "it'll be alright, buddy- just don't scream" Reassured by Sky, Rufflet doesn't panic verbally, but on the inside is screeching with absolute fear, afraid that Amanda will drop him. [Read more]

Sky sits comfortably in his seat, taking notes on the performances of all the people in the contest.
he wonders when the battling contest will commence and rufflet squirms anxiously.
"it's alright" Sky says to the tiny bird pokemon, "we'll be up soon, okay? you just have to wait a little while longer"
Rufflet looks up at Sky and smiles. then, it turns its attention back to the contest stage.

Sky gets comfortable and pulls out a pen and paper to take notes.
"now, lets see how contests in Coren are different from contests in other
regions." he mutters to himself. in the shadows, a few dark figures can barely be seen watching
Sky. "when this is over, take his pokemon; knock him out if you need to,"
one of them whispers to the other. "on second thought, leave the one perched on his
shoulder; it'll be of no use to us." then, the two fade out of view.

Supplies: A reusable water bottle, a journal that belongs to him, a switchblade knife, and a large bottle of medication
Personality: he's kind of nice... most of the time. after a he got hit by a car 5 years ago, he's been known to have hallucinations and had a compete personality shift. before the accident, he was a normal kid. after it, he became paranoid and looked like he could burst into tears at any point. after this, he spent 2 years in an insane asylum and was let go after those 2 years, and showed signs of recovering. but, after seeing the zombies, he started to randomly break down at some points and nobody has been able to really understand what he means when he says stuff like "the day will be upon us soon" and "we'll all be burning in purgatory..." during his breakdowns.

appearance: has short blonde hair and grey-ish eyes. he wears a black sweatshirt and has fingerless gloves on. his eyes sometimes look completely normal, but at other times he has a wild and deranged look in them.

Sky and Chatot continue to sing. then, Sky reaches into his bag and pulls out
a black leather case and puts together a flute from the pieces inside of it. then,
Sky starts to play a melancholy tune along with Chatot. Sky, for the first time in
Coren, has a look of real comfort on his face. then, out of nowhere, a small Rufflet
falls out of the air and falls flat on its face in front of Sky, just as Sky and Chatot's
song comes to an end. Sky looks at the little bird in front of him, returning chatot
to its pokeball. the little Rufflet looks like it's about to burst into tears and it's also
covered in tons of cuts and bruises. "hey, little guy." Sky says, holding out his hand,
"are you okay? do you need help-" he gets cut off by rufflet, who suddenly starts
crying. without another word, Sky picks up the bird and pats it on the head.
the Rufflet looks at Sky, its tears fading away. "you wanna come with me?" Sky
asks," i won't hold it against you if you choose not to though-" once again, Sky
is cut off by Rufflet, who smiles and vigorously nods its head. Sky laughs and
holds out a Pokeball, which Rufflet graciously hops inside of, and sky immediately
lets it back out. "you wanna go watch the contests, rufflet?" Sky asks. Rufflet nods,
and the two go back inside of the contest hall before the contests start.
"talk about cutting it close..." Sky says as he sits back down into his seat.

Sky's Chatot then flys out of the contest hall and perches on the roof of it.
Sky simply sighs and runs after it. "Chatot, what are you doing this time?"
he says, sounding like he's used to this exact situation. Sky follows Chatot
up to the roof of the contest hall, where Chatot is singing the tune to a song
amongst the strikes of lightning and thunder of the ongoing storm. Sky smiles,
rolls his eyes, then starts to sing the lyrics and, along with chatot, the two start
to play a song somewhat resembling Bittersweet Symphony. however, this time,
people in the Concert Hall can faintly hear it being played in the background of the
storm, but only a few stop to question it. Sky starts to remember when he first met
chatot-the two only got to know each other through playing a song, and they had stuck
by one another's side every since that fateful day.

Sky simply looks at the girl and stays quiet. then, a shiny chatot bursts out of one of his Pokeballs.
"you wanted to watch too then, huh?" Sky says quietly to the little musical bird that was now
perched on his shoulder. chatot sits on sky's shoulder and starts to hum an old sea shanty. upon
hearing the tune that chatot is humming, he laughs quietly. that was a song that he has taught
chatot when they were still traveling out on the open sea to Coren. Sky starts to sing under his
breath so that nobody will hear him

Sky continues to think about today's events: a pokemon that tried to drown him, people attempting to steal his pokemon, and finding people who didn't show him immediate hatred. that last thing surprised him the most, as most people rejected him because of his past, but the people here seemed pretty nice. however, Megami seemed to hate him more than any other person on the island. he started to wonder WHY she disliked him so strongly. i mean, she OBVIOUSLY knew that he used to be a Team Rocket admin, so maybe that was the reason? "no..." Sky whispers to himself, "she doesn't seem like the type to hold a person's past against them." Sky shakes his head and turns back towards the stage, waiting for the contests to begin.

"welp, I'm glad i read up about the topics of the contest before." Sky says, sitting in his chair and relaxing.
"and I'm even more glad that i DIDN'T sign up for this contest." Sky gets ready to watch, as he needs
to know how bonded people are to their Pokémon here as a part of his research and contests usually require
a strong bond of friendship with your Pokémon- at least, that's what Sky's usually noticed.

	Sky grins at charizard and says, "we'll show the island that we're not to be taken lightly, right buddy?" Charizard smiles and roars, and the two keep going forward. he also decides to let out the rest of his pokemon, even if they're for utility purposes. [Read more]

	Sky motions to Togekiss and the fairy-flying type pokemon gently puts the litwick on its back onto the ground and Togekiss smiles at it before heading back into Sky's pokeball. "well, I'm going to enter the contest earlier rather then later. see you guys around!" Sky says as he goes into the building with charizard following him. [Read more]

Sky looks behind him and sees what mismagius wrote.
"wow, that's cruel." Sky says. he pauses for a moment,
then continues, "i like this mismagius. do you have a name?"
Togekiss looks happily at the little litwick on its back and
smiles. it gently flies up and hovers in the air, keeping the
little ghost type warm. Sky sighs then says, "that's my togekiss
for you; always caring for pokemon, even if it doesn't know them"

Sky listens to the Pokédex entry and says, “ well, after my research here on Coren, I guess I’ll be researching mismagius next... could be interesting, you know.” Sky continues, “ but I wonder, is it tormenting us or not?to be honest, it’s kinda hard for me to tell.” [Read more]

Sky looks at litwick and sends out togekiss. "togekiss, can you make
litwick feel better?" Sky asks, "i think it's crying". togekiss nods then flys over to
litwick. it uses heal pulse on litwick, then it tickles litwick in an attempt
to make it feel beter. "that works too, i guess." sky says.
then, sky thinks to himself, 'well, at least that messy past wasn't as bad
as being a team rocket admin like i was. that kind of experience will change
you forever.'

"no offence, but it probably didn't consider you 'worthy' of being its trainer." sky continues, "In my travels, I've found that Charizards are usually very proud and have a big ego, and they won't obey a trainer they consider to be 'weak'. of course, I'm not saying trying to say that you're weak, Leo." Charizard looks at Sky, as if it heard what sky said about it. "Buddy, you know that i don't mean you." Sky says, patting Charizard on the head. Charizard smiles at this and accidentally sets Sky's sleeve on fire with its tail. Sky casually pulls out a water bottle and extinguishes the fire on his sleeve. however, there seems to be a second-degree burn on his arm. Sky sends out a togekiss and motions to his arm. Togekiss uses heal pulse on Sky's arm and it proceeds to cuddle against Sky. he smiles, then returns Togekiss

	Sky looks behind him and sees Nita. "ah, you must be rini's and nakanaka's trainer." Sky says. "I'm Sky, and this is Charizard." Charizard looks at Nita and smiles. "wow, my Charizard isn't known to warm up to people quickly, yet it seems to have bonded to you instantly." Sky says, then catches himself, "oh, i forgot to ask what your name was. Sorry!" Sky looks at Leo and says," there's no way this Charizard is yours. I hatched it from an egg when I was around... 3 years old. also, why would you release your Charizard?! for you Pokémon to able to mega evolve, you need the Pokémon's mega stone, a keystone, and most importantly, you need to have an extremely strong bond with your Pokémon. if YOUR Charizard was able to mega evolve, you must've had a strong bond with it, which begs to question; why did you release it?"
Sky looks at Charizard, as if to tell the fiery lizard what had just happened. then, Charizard simply nods and
returns flies up into the sky, looking around the crowd. "oh, i forgot to tell you my name." Sky says, holding out his hand "I'm Sky."

Sky hears the sharp crackle of thunder in the sky. He looks up and sees the largest thunderclouds that he ever has in his life. It’s as if every electric type Pokémon in the world is using their power to create this storm.“Well, we’re going to be stuck here for a while...” Sky mutters to himself, “My team is made up of flying-types, so I can’t simply fly off Coren...” he shrugs it off as he doesn’t mind staying on Coren for a few more days than planned. He just HOPES that he doesn’t get stranded here.
