Leo goes up to some more people and asks them if they know Sam, hoping to get some ideas of what to give him. Sam, meanwhile, accidentally bumps into Hoebi, knocked down by the impact. "s-sorry..." Sam says, thinking his 17th birthday will just be as bad as the other ones.

"Wha-" Maple looks surprised. "Why would I do that?" She asked, shocked. She was genuinely unsure of why Luke would think she'd do that. She thought she was known as a good guy.

Casity makes her way over to the cafeteria. She frowns at the people whispering. Although they weren't talking about her, they seemed to be talking about the boy walking in front of her. "Can you all just shut up?" She asks out loud. This seems to solve the problem for like one second.

Willow walks towards the cafeteria. Her notebooks were clutched under her arm. Her motivation to talk to others seems to decrease with every step she took. By the time she reaches the cafeteria, she is back to her old self. After grabbing an apple, she sits in her usual spot in the back

Hoebi noticed Luke while walking to lunch and instantly felt worse. He had noticed that another kid, Sam was his name?, was pleading for him not to kill him as he left last night and Luke seemed like the same. He looked at Luke and Maple for a few seconds before running off to the cafeteria.

“I was calling you all night and you didn’t answer!” Her mother yelled her. Kamini groaned and waited for them to say something else. “Now... How are you doing? It’s been so long since we talked...”

Sam runs off down the hall, but he left a small notebook by accident at Hoebi's feet.
the book looks to be years old, and the barely visible title apears to say, "Concepts".
it seems to be for concepts for books that Sam plans to write in future.

Hoebi stopped when the notebook was dropped at his feet. What was this? He slowly bent down to pick it up and read the title. Why would anyone have this? He looked around to see if anyone had dropped it, but no one would talk to him. He sighed and noticed Sam running down the hall, but didn’t bother to stop him. He just didn’t have the confidence to talk to anyone anymore

yeah...*she said, her pencil lead snapping (thank goodness it's a mechanical pencil XD), she clicks a little button on the side to get more lead to come out, she continues drawing* i still don't quite trust her yet...

Sam doesn't notice that his notebook is gone, he just continues to run off to his next class.
he had seen Hoebi pull a knife on someone, which was why everyone was talking about him.
however, Sam concluded that Hoebi wasn't trying to hurt anyone, and ignored the people muttering about Hoebi.

Snowflake finally woke up and gently shook Violet awake. "Get up sleeping bueaty, we gotta go."

Violet pulled the covers over her head. "I dont wanna get up. . ."

"Too bad, we gotta go adn learn stuff." Snowflake flung the covers off of Violet then promptly got dressed. Violet slowly trudged after her.

Sam's band comes together at a table, somewhat closeby to Suvansh. "man... Sam was right when he said he didn't have many friends." one member of the band says. "well, that doesn't matter, Leo." the second one says, " all that matters is that this time, Sam actually has a resonably nice birthday for ONCE in his life." "what do you mean by 'for once in his life', jake?" a third member says. "well, his parents were abusive to him, remember, tim?" the one named jake says. "oh... that's right." Tim says, "well... how many people agreed to come to his party?" Leo sighs in sadness, then says, "only one... everyone else kinda hates him, ya know?"
