Zander was sort of trotting through the forest, a machete in hand. The forest wasn't dense, but it have him comfort to hold something he could defend himself with.

Finally, Kepo arrived at the riverside. Unfortunatly though, there were no floating edibals on the surface. "Neverr mind" she said to nobody in particular, "it's an excuse to try and control the stream". And with that, she gracefully dived in, hoping to bubble correctly for a change.

"If you want." Ilmatar shrugged, the second set of jaws coming forward as the reptilian human yawned exaggeratedly. Anyone would havve a moment of panic seeing someone with two sets of teeth, especially if they looked like pearly knives. There was a snap as Ilmatar's jaw clicked back into place, keen hearing tracking Tazuli even as she flew through the canopies. "Doesn't seem like any harm but never hurts to check." There were a lot of new sounds going on as well, cutting and bubbles rising to the surface as Ilmatar curled into a lump on the ground to soak up the rays of light shining down from heaven. "But if you want to know my expert opinion, there's someone coming into the forest with one of those whacky knife things. Tall male by the sounds of the footsteps."

Snaphet sits up right away. "That doesn't sound good. Well keep a eye on my house please. I'm going to go bother the one with the wacky knife." She says llmatar as she stand up. She than transform into a wolf. "See ya." She takes off towards the one that has a weapon.

Yet again, Kepo's magic had deserted her. Instead of making a safe bubble where she would not get wet, she induced a terribly fast flowing current. Luckily though, she was a very strong swimmer and the fish, to say the least, were a little confused.
About two minutes later, she pulled herself out of the water. The sun was stooping low at this point and she knew that she didn't have a lot of time to make a shelter if an attempted water shelter did not work for her.
It was another 15 minutes or so before she mustered up the willpower to attempt this feat of magic. It drained her to put it lightly, but for th first time in about a month, it worked. water bubble of safety. Of corce it wasn't very practical as even though wild animals would dare not enter, ordinary folk would, to say the least, find thi a little conspicuous - but having been stuc at home due to her parents over protectiveness - that was not an apparent issue in her mind as she lay down for sleep

Zander stopped, then stretched. He knew there were things in these woods, which was why he carried the machete, but he wasn't as much fearful as he was excited. He knew that few stories ever came back from this place, but he was still willing to see if it really was that dangerous. He froze, mid-stretch, and cocked his head to one side. He started laughing, suddenly, then quickly lashed the machete to his wrist and started up a large tree, a rope in each hand, and both his hands on opposite sides of the tree. He hadn't brought a backpack, but he had plenty around his waist.

The next morning she awoke with a start. She heard voices coming from the cave nearby. The last human contact was with er parents on the night she ran away. She ran across the river in the onlty magical feat she had mastered. Planting herself at the enterence, her ears were cupped and she listened.
Most of the talk she couldn't understand due to the echoes but she caught a few key words "magic" "better" "well done" "improving" " Alkarhak"
Impulsively, she stepped back and forth in deciding weather to go in and introduce herself.

She nodded and watched what she could from where she stood. Should she go check it out? She couldn’t exactly decide on an answer, considering how low her self confidence was. What if there was something dangerous and she would get caught? What if she simply looked silly going out in the forest alone like that. She sighed and went to go search for one of the visitors.

She reaches the stranger with a weapon. She watches him in curiosity. 'What is this?' She thinks. She walks out and growls out towards the stranger.

He looked down from the tree, hearing a growl, and spotted a wolf. He smiled and cocked his head. "Why, ello wolfy. How're you today?" He spoke like he knew it was a person, even though he clearly didn't .

Smacking dry lips, Ilmatar watched the two leave and curled up in front of the entrance content to sleep the day away. The sun was setting and unlike the sandy dunes that Ilmatar called home, there would be no protection against the cold in the forest. Shivering at the thought, the reptile bundled the pastel clothing hanging off a lanky frame closer together to preserve warmth. It would be needed.

Flay walked around for a bit, “asking” the trees to guide her to the visitors. She didn’t think that any of them had hostile intentions, but then again, she wouldn’t know until she bumped into them. She heard Crimson talking to someone in the distance and decided not to interfere, but instead traveled to where one of the other intruders were. She found herself near a river and felt a presence nearby. Hopefully they weren’t hostile...

(Reminder to cut down on the one liners please)

Zander laid down on the tree limb, looking down at them. "I'm here to explore a bit. To say some rumors. To get away from my parents." At this, he flipped over onto his back on the tree limb, dangling his arms. He pointed with one hand at the top of the tree, then said, " The way I see it, when you're at the bottom, when you've hit rock bottom, there's only one way to go: Up. " He let his arm dangle again.
