She wanted to yell at him to shut up, but decided it was best not to do so. Again she had to remind herself that anger never got anyone anywhere. She focused on making the tree explode, taking Ilmatar’s words into consideration. Of course she was dumb and didn’t tell them to take cover or something, so they had a high chance to get a bad case of splinters. The tree began to slightly expand and the top began to slowly compress to the roots. It was like watching a full soda can being put under a weak hydraulic press

"You got this Flay." Snaphet says as she moves back a little. She knew what might happen and she wasn't in the mood with transforming or using something else like strength. She sighs and lays back down.

The tree suddenly burst, sending a small, short and painful shriek in the wind and splinters everywhere. She somehow felt a bit better, but the guilt of hurting something so innocent prevented her from relief. She took a few deep breaths before looking around to see the damage she caused. As dumb as Flay was, she at least remembered to try and not to direct the splinters to the others around her.

Where Ilmatar was settled, splinters were strewn everywhere yet none of them pierced flesh or fabric. Sprawled out in odd and peculiar angles, the unnatural bend of joints had most people's stomachs churning in uncomfortable disgust. Yet, this freakish display of flexible acrobatics was what saved Ilmatar a shower of splinters, each wooden shard falling harmlessly to the ground. Glazing at Flay, Ilmatar got the feeling that she wasn't completely satisfied and a tipped head was all the indication needed to convey it.

She looked at where the tree originally was and took a few short breaths. She actually did something with her powers... It felt different to say the least, but it certainly made her feel better. She looked over at Crimson and lowered her arm, not really feeling the excitement that he gave. She didn’t exactly do much, so what was the congratulating for?

Ilmatar suggested, limbs limply dragging after the slithering body before lean legs popped back into place, holding Ilmatar's weight as the rest of the joints returned to their regular place. "You're doing great by the way."

“Thanks, but... I don’t exactly...” she turned to face Ilmatar, barely focusing on how broken his limbs looked in that position. “Fight, much less spar...” she finished. She never believed that offense in anything helped, she thought it was best to play defense. That’s why she always ran from her problems.

The loose shrug that Ilmatar gave was punctuated by the cracking of shoulders realigning with joints, the neck snapping to place. "That's fine. Just do what makes you feel comfortable. If you don't want to fight, then I won't push. It's not for everyone. It's certainly not for me." Rolling around a stiff neck, Ilmatar attempted a thin smile, pale eyes twinkling with amusement at the situation.

She nodded and walked away from the stump, careful to avoid the splinters on the ground. She wondered what else would happen now that she had done what she had just did, would they talk to each other? Would they part ways? Questions began to roam her mind again as she looked around.

Deep in the forest, Kepo awoke. She was groggy and wasn't really up for doing anything outher than sleeping today, but that wasn't going to happen. Reluctantly she pulled herself up and hopped down from the tree she had spent the night in. She checked her pocket, and, to her relief, the photo of her and her parents wa sstill there. Her plan of action for yhe day: find the river and hopefully some food - without nearly making the river burst its banks - hopefully.
