I suck at this but I won't be able to sleep for awhile I'll keep looking before I edited this I apparently came off as to lazy to search so I'll search again and again until I pass out. Then I'll wake up and search some more when I find this missing place I will post a link somewhere where it can be found easier not spoiling it but rather helping it be found in case something elusive is hiding there

Why should she, though? She made her own site map by saving urls to her bookmarks. She worked towards finding missing links and adding them to her list, probably not even considering existing (user-made) site maps but doing everything from scratch as it is easier/less confusing (at least that's how I operated when I did mine a while back.)

So why should she give away what she found just because you guys are too lazy to search on your own*?

Honestly, there isn't an official site map for a reason. Having one would totally defeat the purpose of the easter egg hunt. People creating their own and sharing them in their diaries or what is their own choice and purely goodwill on their part. They don't have to do this.

So guilt-tripping someone into sharing their knowledge about something that requires actual effort is pretty low, if you ask me.

I mean, don't get me wrong. I understand your frustration. There were years in which I didn't find all easter eggs either. But that doesn't mean I get to bully people into revealing urls and doing work for me just because I wasn't able (didn't want) to do it myself.

*I'm not saying that all of you guys are too lazy to put work into finding all eggs. Clearly the OP at least is putting effort into it, I think that's pretty clear. (Some users just come crashing in here, demanding others to work for them, which is what bothers me the most.) Still. Don't 'blame' others for not sharing their knowledge if it isn't even allowed in the first place.

It's been a long day of re-searching and screen shotting, then coding this post lol. So I probably over reacted. I'm still at it too, so not concentrating on other things very well and probably should sleep. Not that I'll admit Argentis is right :P

And how would I know that there aren't egg(s) on those pages, when you go to check them? I generally do things without bookmarks, even though I made them [because I enjoy the thrill of searching], but there are some pages in a separate folder, because I always forget they exist. No, it means that if there's an egg on one of those pages, it'll be harder/longer before they're found. My last egg was hiding in one such page, convinced as I was that it wouldn't be there, I completely forgot about and didn't bother checking my bookmarks go me w.w It took me triple-checking every page I already looked at, before I even remembered that the page my egg was hiding at was even a thing.

Allowing those site maps already is a leeway to the rules on our [the Staff's] account, one reason being that people tend to both overthink and not think through enough and a general idea of what's where [both Rings and Eggs] helps focus.
However, if this is going to result into claiming that eggs are bugged, because it's not on any of the pages listed [despite already being told that they don't hold all pages], it makes one wonder why we even bothered keeping them around in the first place. It's only lead to frustration and false accusations on multiple accounts and even users considering it normal [rather than a gift] that users share their links/possible locations, while that definitely defeats the purpose of an Easter Egg Hunt [or even the Hoopa Ring Hunt]. This feeling of entitlement is something we don't need here.



I genuinely hope you find your last egg, simply because you're focusing a lot more on the Hunt/the Pages then most probably do. If you don't find it, you'll be able to check a bunch of screenshots to make sure you haven't missed it and/or proof of whether it's an actual bug or not.



[For the record, I'm not calling anyone lazy or entitled, just saying that that is the impression I got when I woke up and read the small discussion that happened. If you feel attacked by my general observation... maybe you should look a little deeper, then, because I'm not targeting any one person specifically.]

1. I meant that your links couldn't show where you found the egg on it. Which is what I've always gleaned from this event, given that site maps are perfectly acceptable to share. So giving the pages I'm apparently missing, wouldn't be cheating. But that's beside the point, as I'm certain I've been to them and just super irate that people refuse to believe me when I make complaints on this site.

2. You are targeting me, obviously, as this is my post and you automatically assume I've erroneously posted it, be cause I clearly can't have checked everywhere, even though I found all eggs last year, and have not had trouble finding rings up until this point.

3. I know they're connected, because approximately 10 mins before the event started, I was searching for Hoopa rings and they weren't on any page I checked, then going back through Panda's list alone, i found all but that last one, that mysteriously appeared on a page I'd been on for 20 minutes. Spending golden coins. So yeah...

I have not only triple checked, but I've been to each page 9 times, and it will be 10 after this. I've Went down them, back up, highlighted, and zoomed in/out on EVERY page.
But you can continue to think I'm stupid and lazy and I'll serve up that hot plate of crow when the spoiler is released and I go straight to the screenshot proving that it was indeed, not there before. And I WILL demand recompense for it.

* I would also like to mention that not one screen shot yet has been from a map. It's all hand navigating the tabs. All maps I've seen posted will be navigated and added in tomorrow. But since I've been doing this for over twelve hours, and I'm obviously testy. I'm going to bed now.

@CassOfDelphi - I've admitted [though PalPad, true, but still] that it's indeed weird and possibly a bug that you couldn't find the Hoopa Ring. It's also been said, whenever such a claim is made, that nothing can be checked if there aren't any screenshots.

Needing screenshots as proof is not the same as pointing fingers and calling someone lazy/stupid. That's you putting words in my mouth.

Considering there are other users who posted in this thread, no I'm not 'clearly targeting' you. However, you seem convinced that I'm just out here to 'get you' and don't want you to get what you've earned/deserved. Simply because the threads you referred as your guide, don't hold all possible links and I notified you of that, without revealing which links they are.
It's against the rules to spoil possible locations, regardless of whether I found any there or not. Just because one user couldn't find an egg there, doesn't mean it's not a possible location for someone else. Hence, sharing that page could lead to someone spoiling a location to that specific user, even though they didn't find an egg there themselves.

If you don't find the egg, I'll be right there with you, checking your screenshots [that is, if you share its location after it's been revealed, though I get the impression you don't want me to help] and [once again] talking to Riako to make absolutely certain nothing went wrong, just as I've done every year so far. However as long as Riako doesn't find a mistake in the code, I can ring the bell as much as I want, the code isn't suddenly going to change, just because I want/expect it to.

All in all, I read a lot of frustration/anger in your latest post, but maybe that's just me reading too much into things. Be sure to let us know where it's been hiding, after the location's been revealed on the 2nd of April.

I'd love help actually, and will most certainly be posting the reveal. But as you keep pointing out that I've missed something, but not indicating any where it could be, or even anything that could lead to it. I find it hard to believe you want to help.

I'm providing all of these screen shots because I've been told repeatedly that I need proof of error, without being told where that proof would be.

Since there are 130 possible pages for eggs, and none of us know which pages that will be, that is quite frankly ridiculous, as I believe I'm proving here and now with the hundreds of screen shots here, and coming. As I haven't been through the entire community tab (again) to get screen shots yet, or any of the maps I've used, I expect I'll get around 1000 shots by the end of this.

I've stated REPEATEDLY that I did not JUST use those guides. I manually navigated the site as well. It's the first thing I do, then go to those guides since there are pages there that are no longer available, or readily accessible. But that seems to be overlooked every time I say it.

Everybody calm down we all know that nobody here is perfect especially me. We all make less than favorable decisions and occasionally overlooked a thing or two. I think we need to to come up with a better solution to this missing egg crisis than what we have done so far I know my idea was a bit far fetched but maybe something similar can be done in the future to prevent arguments like this from breaking out
