I'm honestly not sure about this myself,, idk if this has been suggested either
Anywho, I've noticed that there are several users on Pokeheroes who have not been active for over 1 year, however, they have very nice usernames that people would like to have. Instead of having these great usernames wasted on users who will never play, I was thinking the accounts could just be deleted after a certain amount of time.

I was thinking, after a year of inactivity, an email could be sent to the user to remind them of their Pokeheroes account. If a month (or any certain time) has passed and no response has occurred, then the account would be deleted, as well as any Pokemon/items/etc. they own.

Or, there could at least be a way to manually delete your account if you know you won't be active anymore

Any opinions on this are appreciated !! I understand that there could be some complications with this, but whatever,,

This is already a post thing but a thing that should be done is if they are inactive theyre user names are just removed and changed to a random asembly of letters and numbers

I'm not the admin, so I wouldn't know this entirely, but I believe there is some way the deletion can be done systematically,,
I don't know for sure though, so this is just a guess

I support this, and at the very least, can't the mods change usernames? They could change their usernames to random letters and numbers, or something like that. Or maybe change them all to "Inactive".

Already Suggested(Well kinda since the thread I'm linking doesn't want outright removal of the user)

There are good reasons stated as to why it shouldn't be implemented such as a user not being able to go on due to certain circumstances. I don't support due to that. Also people get bored of a site after a while but then they may want to come back after a year or so. I think it's unfair for their username to be taken from them.. So yeah. No support when I originally posted in the thread I linked and no support now.

Edit: And in this specific thread's case it's totally unfair to come online only to find everything removed. All of their hardwork deleted. That I definitely cannot agree with.

Maybe a system where it only applies to people under level 15, so no one loses much?

Accounts cannot be deleted.
Everything attached to you would cause a multitude of errors. "Original Trainer" if you traded some pokémon, before going inactive; any forum posts you might've made; Auctions you might've set up; other users' pokémon that might've (temporarily) been traded to you;...
Then there's the possibility they might return, only to find their account gone, because we found they weren't active enough. Not exactly the 'welcome back party' I had it mind ;)

There has already been a suggestion made about making a username "available" after a certain amount of inactivity, so please go support the original suggestion.
As for the deletion, that's never going to happen (for above mentioned reasons and probably more)
