Hmm.. I'm not sure if anybody noticed this, but I like how you could see if there's gonna be a bonus on the next day.. by looking up the "Lovemeter". ;) (Y)

Hmm.. The buttons looks nicer now, having more of a "button" look.. If you know what I mean.. Lol. :P And, it's good that there was a way to scroll "sideways" now.. I think the site will become more "user-friendly" for some mobile users.. based on my experience. :B (Y)

I swears I just refreshed and the Background changed. I kinda liked the other one better though, this one is a bit too bright for the "end of summer" hah XD

The background popped up when I clicked a page and reverted back to the old one when I clicked another page. LoL. Scared me at first. ^,^ Got it fixed now.

I have to agree with Sketchi, the background is more appropriate for summer, not "end of summer," a sunset at the beach would be far more appropriate for that. It looks nice, but does not fit with classes starting back up, the start of football season, or pumpkin spice latte returning to Starbucks.

Also, with the changes being made to the design of this site, it just feels very "thrown together." Some elements have rounded corners while others still have sharp ones, the multiple hues of blue used, the variety of fonts used (the mixing of serif and sans-serif is particularly distracting), and now the banner image doesn't even match. I'd suggest making a cohesive design instead of changing one element every week or so. (imho, the buttons feel very "cookie-cutter" and could have been done better)

We're strongly trying to improve our design on PokeHeroes to make it much more attractive and colorful.

Also I have to disagree with some of your criticism. First of all, we aren't using different fonts on this site (besides the userbar and the navigation buttons). And all of them are sans-serif.

Secondly, it's made on purpose that some boxes are rounded and some aren't.

And lastly, we never said that the background image should fit to the current weather (or any recent happenings on football teams or whatsoever). Not to mention that I don't see a sunset 24/7 outside at the end of summer.
I can totally imagine that somewhere in the world - on a distant island - it still looks like this, even at the end of summer.

For All we know, Emera town could be a town on an island on the equator. So it could always look like that :D

The fonts used to type in the forum text box, the information at the top of forum posts (Posted: ...), the navigation "titles" (not the drop down links), and the text displayed in the fixed bar at the top of all pages are serif fonts. I can take a screenshot and post what I'm seeing if you'd like.

I respectfully disagree with your design choice for the distribution of rounded and angled corners.

I'm not implying that you did.
Nor does anyone see a bright, sunlit beach 24/7 outside at the end of summer. Maybe the north pole still has 24 hours of daylight, but it's kinda chilly up there. It's about visual communication. If your intent was to communicate the end of summer, the current image doesn't do that. The sunset thing was off the top of my head and going with the island/beach/ocean theme in your current background. (Sunset = end, beach = summer) I'm sure other people will come up with different things that communicate the "end of summer."

Regarding SummerLight's point: True, but there would be distinct lack of season.

It was never my/our intention to express the end of summer with the current background image. We've been planning and working on that artwork since a couple of weeks now - when it was still very sunny outside.

The intention was more to express that beach feeling that you should have when you live in Emera Town.

Also the fonts used in input-fields are browser-based; and the headlines of each page have the basic font of this website - which is Verdana, sans-serif.

I didn't want start anything up, it's just my own "opinion" type criticism. The artwork itself is fabulous, but my preference on backgrounds is to have darker colors. \r\n\r\nMay I input the suggestion of having a bunch of different seasonal/holiday or just "different" wallpapers and users can chose and update their background as they wish. I'm kinda nostalgic already for the old background already XD.

You do realize you can change the font used for text boxes, right? For me, the same font used in the text boxes displays the text "Posted: Sun, 08/09/2013 17:46 (10 Minutes ago)" as well as "Posted by Riako" on the main page which looks like Courier. I'm not going to delve into your style sheet(s), I believe that's rude and intrusive, to figure out which serif font is used for the fixed bar and the navigation "titles" (Home, Town, Settings, Community), but please be aware that it displays as a sans-serif font.

Also, this isn't intended as an attack, just a critique. I believe it's better to inform someone of potential problems rather than idly standing by. So, if I didn't care, I wouldn't have put the time and effort into outlining what looks "off."

Yes, it is Courier, this is the browser standard for all input-fields, as I mentioned earlier. And I could change that, it's true. But I did never think about it because I had no problem with as it is.

that's what I said, isn't it? Verdana, sans-serif.

I also don't see your comments as an attack ;) Don't worry.
I'm glad to get "critical" feedback to see what I could improve. It's true that I'm not an expert in CSS, especially not when I created this website. In the meanwhile I learned modern CSS, but it's difficult to redo the whole stylesheet.

Awesome work on putting a notification icon, and about resending our Rumblers on their previous missions.. I almost didn't see it at my first try, and resent my own rumbler manually. Lol. :)

I'm wondering what that icon will really notifies us to..? Aside from other feedbacks, and forums you're subscribed to.

I wish we could subscribe to the Minor Updates forum, as well.. even if the thread's locked. ;)

EDIT: I noticed that you can now comments on the statuses that yous see on your feeds.. I hope it will lessen the weird and irrelevant notifications that I receive from some of my friends.. :S

I just got online.. So, I quickly went to lab and saw that cute chocolate Chansey's giant egg holder.. Lol. :D

It looks so awesomely authentic, with the nest and all.. Great artwork! ;) (Y)

Prof. Rowan looks so faraway from his eggs now though.. Lol. :P

And, I'll surely miss the lab timer where it showed the number of seconds (after a minute has reached) the analyzing of egg data will end..

EDIT: Awesome update at the Index Page! Where you could "Give a Hug" & "Feed a Berry" to anyone's featured Pokèmon & Egg for 5 minutes..! :D (Y)
