Alphonse looked to the sky and took a deep breath. "This is like, this is a joke right? Im being punked? You're twelve did you go to any primary schooling? I know here on the boiling isles the parents typically set up home schooling for their childrens early education or send them to hexside from a young age, but if you didnt have a family. That does explain why you speak so poorly at least." Alphonse mused. "And Blaze, you said a dragon raised you? What do you mean by that?" Their potion cart rolled over a bump and rattled a little, but none spilled thankfully.

Alphonse wheezed anxiously. "Ok, but have you been here by yourself for two months, or has there been any adults around to buy you food or is it like, a gotta eat to live gotta steal to eat situation?" Alphonse started thinking about how much they had had to save for their apartment and to keep them afloat until hexside started, and when their tutoring job would start.
"How have you been paying for elixir to keep your curse from getting worse or has it just been getting worse, in which case that is certainly something the school would be able to help you with in order to help you succeed academically." Alphonse clung to the idea that hexside would be able to help, they loved that school and it had shown them nothing but kindness, certainly it would extend that same kindness to these, orphans. At least Alphonse assumed them to be orphans. "In which case we will still be going to hexside regardless."

"Oh, and you all just moved in? Hm, Ok." Alphonse took a deep breath to ground themself. "Does anyone watch you guys or is it just a house of ten year olds?" They asked.
Alphonse was trying not to think about the ramifications of a bunch of 10-13 year olds in a house together, especially magical children who likely didnt have a strong grasp on their magic yet and could easily light the whole house on fire and how their magic could interact with their surroundings especially with all of the magical artifacts that they knew the famous owl lady of the boiling isles most definitely didnt take with her when she vanished.

Alphonse took another conscious breath, trying not to hyperventilate as they resisted the urge to call the police, or even a health care professional to look at the obviously cursed child. There wasnt anything they could do for the kids, all they were was an older student who had just met them.
