Gritting his teeth, Julian turned off the television resting the urge to throw it at the screen. An 8. A God damn 8, last year he had a 9! Pressing the heels of his hands to his eyes, Julian felt all the more desperate to win his pride as a Career from the previous year. The girl who got a 12, Nova, she was the one who killed Kardia last year so she would be Julian's first target. With a plan forming in mind, Julian glowered at the screen as he began to plot out his next course of action.

It was a surprise to see himself ranked so high. Gateguard had been going for a 6 or a 7, but he would take the 8. The name Thrush also caught his eye and Gateguard made a note to track the boy down. He had been a part of his brothers herd as well and at the very least, Thrush deserved to know how Shion was doing. Perhaps he could forge an alliance as well but it wouldn't be awful if he didn't get to.

Molly didn't even see his score, hand busy shaking as he felt like throwing up. He was scared, beyond scared, frightened even. His hands clenched and unclenched as he sat alone in his room.

Rose was quite pleased with her score. "This is good. Now I seem weak." she murmurs. She smiles. She sees Echo's score. That makes her even happier. "When the bloodbath comes... I will find him." she promises herself.



Emmie just sighs. "I knew I wouldn't impress anyone." she murmurs glumly. She lies back down on her bed and lets the tears flow. The avox serving her just pats her on the shoulder sympathetically. Emmie's sobs echo around the room.

Echo finally spotted Rose, and he casually walked over. "See what I mean. Things are different this time." He had to admit, his tone came out rather smug, as he looked at her with a seemingly knowing glance.

"Is that what you think?" Rose said innocently. "For all you know, I could be pretending to be weak." she said. She leans in and whispers something in his ear. "Watch your back in the arena. I'm a master at camouflage, can you say as much? Make sure no arrows ruin your pretty face." she leans back and walks away, an equal smug look on her face.

Echo let out a dramatic gasp, his hands twitching to strangle her. He was brimming with anger. How dare she brush off his insults like they were nothing, then threaten him. The only thing keeping him from attacking her was not only the rules, but his knowledge that his score was gained without using his powers. If she held back, while using her powers and scored a 6, there could still be a chance he was stronger. He frowned, watching her walk away.

Rose turns back for one second. "Oh and, you look good in yellow." she says innocently before leaving. She had turned his clothing an ugly bright yellow. She hides the satisfaction very well, and nods at a few people she passes. She returns to her room and sits on her bed.

A little confused Echo just snapped, "Of course! I look good in everything!" It took him a second to realise he hadn't worn any yellow though. He looked down at himself, and let out a startled gasp. He immediately started to try and run after Rose. "Fix this right now! Reverse what you just did!"

"All your threats might come to fruition; assuming you don't die in the bloodbath, Rose-y." Adelaide purred, her eyes glowed with dark delight. She was quite proud of her score, and the fact that she was indeed improving (last year she got a 8) Her eyes narrowed, fists curling as she noted the last name. Nova. Kardia's killer. Besides the District 1 girl who shot Kyu earlier, she would make a small note to kill the girl.

Rose exits her room to see Echo. She smirks. "Why? I thought you looked good in everything." she says innocently. Her eyes say everything. "No, I don't think you do." she mutters. "You'd look better in a... deep blue." she says, circling him, critiquing his clothing. She ignored Adelaide. "Oh and thank you, I quite like that nickname." she says brightly.

Echo puffed up with anger, as he looked at Rose. "I said fix it!" He hissed, angrily stomping his foot like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum. "I don't even give a crap about your opinion so shut up and fix this!" He was too flustered to actually come up with a genuine insult.

"You're both just so, oh I don't even have words for it." Adelaide huffed, turning an ignorant shoulder to the two's petty squabbling, "You're from my district Echo, and you're pathetic. What luck." Seriously, why did her fate give her such an idiot for a tribute partner? She supposed vanity was a decent aspect of the Games as prettier tributes did pull more sponsors, but seriously? Now? Adelaide adopted a fierce authoritative tone to her voice, "God damn it Echo, cut this immature crap out this instant. Rose, leave us." She added in a cold note to her snarl, "Now."

That settled that. Adelaide strolled firmly forward, and in one swift movement, grabbed Rose by the collar and began to drag her toward the exit. She had not been brought her to entertain children, and she told as such to Rose. Upon reaching the door, she rather roughly chucked the girl outside into the hallway, not caring that the reaction might prove bad for her in the arena. The door clicked lock behind her.

Rose looks truly furious now. She changes her clothing to camouflage. She bits her tongue to prevent her from screaming. "At least I don't need others to fight my own battles." she hisses.

Emmie leaves her room. She wanders around, looking for the other tributes. She wants an easy quick death. She decides to ask for someone to kill her.

Chakti lay on the oversized bed in his room, resting his mind. He had a sort of talent of being able to not think of anything. Of course, in that time, he was also motionless,and had to fight a little bit to regain control of his body. His eyes were glazed, his mouth gaping, his breathing shallow. A lot had happened to him in the past week or so, what with the games upcoming and all. He could hear things happening, but it was like forgetting something important. He had to work to realize what he was hearing.

For the first time since she got here, Gleen looks sad. She observes the other tributes. She and the (NPC) girl from 2 talk about home a lot. They make plans for who they will target early on.
