im gonna start this a little bit less
insane so just some nice oc art (:
this is sort of a redraw of some random sketch i made in 2019. to be honest, i just wanted to play around with the oil paint brush lol
a new dnd character for a new campaign woo !! they're very shamelessly ripped off from a kamen rider character (not..in the design, obviously) because i thought it would be fun
ok now im gonna be a little bit insane and share my kamen rider fanart with you all. its a luxury, be thankful,
i wanted to experiment a bit with a sort of asbtract-ish? art style, and these are the kind of images i get when i listen to Imagination by foster the people. the characters are respectively Gou and Chase from Drive
this one i started in aroundd May, iirc. it only took me so long to finish because i was afraid of having to draw Desast (the one on the right) since im not very good at drawing suits or designs like his. but i pulled through in the end. The characters are Ren and Desast from Saber
criticism and all is appreciated but i enjoy just straight up validation too lol

I've already talked your ear off about the Ren and Desast drawing but it is STILL so gorgeous to me! The colors pop out in such a unique way, and it highlights all the good parts of your art style <3

and an old Draw The Squad meme drawing with some of my friends :D i personally think it should make a comeback

The last illustration really gets me. I love the use of colors that brings the whole picture together. The way the cooler colors fade into the warm ones just hits a special little spot for me. \o/

Some friendships start out a little odd. My main man here is a bit confused, yet curious at to why the heck this girl is trying to talk to him.
They do eventually become a couple though. As they say, marry your best friend.
A bonus flight picture with Tysiga and their Daughter playing Tag
Animela is human disguise. Helping Teacher replace some bandages. He's a "proud warrior" so he's attempting to hide that he's uncomfortable. The anti-septic herbs kinda sting before the numbing takes effect.

I've commented on most of these before but seriously Love the shapes and lines. I would eat this. And the colors are so pleasant too you'd see this stuff on someone's aesthetic carrd

Your scenic pieces are so nice!! I think you capture interactions especially well too, you can see each character's basic persona with their expressions and even the way they're posed c:

I do want to share some pieces I've done, even if I admit to being a bit older...
More recent piece of Pokemon fanart than the next two. I want to say I've done this for a now "failed" attempt at a Pokemon Art Challenge. Not exactly sure on which one though as there's a ton of them to be found online. The best I could recall was that this was at least day 2 or 3 and it was your favorite mythical Pokemon.
Probably a more familiar piece I've had on my profile in the past. This was previously on my now defunct Tumblr blog and was again another fanart piece.
Oldest piece of art in the bunch here. Big time Sonic fan and this might be the closest that most online crowds might see when it comes to my art style. Sonic was done more in my personal style compared to doing it one for one as Sega has him in the 3D games.

I tried my hand at portrait painting for the first time and am quite happy with it, the clothes look kind of flat but it's something to improve for next time! Any constructive criticism would be appreciated ~

Ahh it's really good, esp for a first time painting !! I love the fuzzy-esque shading, makes it look really fluffy. I'm not the best at proportions myself so I'm not sure if this is valid or I'm just seeing things, but if I had to point out anything, I feel the nose and lips are a bit off? Like a little bit too high, but again that could just be me haha. I'd also suggest using more hard shading/hard lights for things like fabric and horns. Other than that I think it looks super nice!! I hope this is readable :'D

I really love the composition of your pieces :D The one with Tysiga and their child sticks out to me a lot especially :o there's such a playful and cheery feel in the work which is very fitting with the scene

Aww :D Your art is very colorful! It's very pleasing to look at. the one with you and your boyfriend's fursonas (fur-human sonas? :thinking:) is really cute!! i love the gradient(?) background :)

Oughhhhh I LOVE how soft and friendly this piece feels? I don't think the clothes look too flat, but that just may be me :D As -Ankh says though, the nose and mouth feel a bit off. If feel as if the lips are a bit too high up? It makes your character look as if they're making a sour-like expression in a way. I do love how this looks in general though! It does seem super fluffy~ ^^

@Popplio AAAAA the doggos are so cuteee also the new shading for the sketches are looking really nice!
@Sentret Ur art style is so cute! Also the little paw beans are so cute ;w; what i suggest tho is going for a more darker color for shading as at first glance I couldn't really tell it was shaded that much but overall good work!

I find it hard to stick to one art style atm so i've just been messing around and seeing what sticks. But anyways, here is the character! She's a pink shark pirate .w.
Some pixel art I did of her as well! I'm not the best at pixel art but I'm pretty proud of myself. It took quite a long time to get it to look perfect in my eyes ;w;

Your artstyle is amazing and I love how you blend colors!
All I can say is I think the second pixel doggos spine is a little wonkey for the size of his belly, but that's my opinion.

@Icefox that looks so nice, I really love the subtlety of the freckles and the warmth of the skin! If you want to try and tackle the flatness you said you're struggling with, I think the shadows need more contrast to help define the shapes. And even if you're stylising things references always help!! Looking at how skulls are proportioned really help with portraiture.
@-Ankh Even your silly drawings are so cute!! the colour contrast in the lil' sad clown drawing are super nice!! <3
