Title: Dec. 7th, 2021I need to Clear the Air a bit...Admittingly, my activity is either sparse with interactions or up in the air and into the area of "Back when I was a newbie here"... Most of it is due to the Advent Calendar up and running this year. Honestly, I've been trying to be a bit better about completing or giving the said activity a try. In regards to Advent, I've been doing the one over at the official Pokemon site as well through their My Place Pokemon: New Years event. Subeta is another site that has an advent calendar of sorts that I've been trying to be diligent about as that rewards an achievement for collecting the freebies for everyday up to real world Christmas and another one for every day in December. Although, they have been having technical difficulties with their site and therefore, they were being forgiving of users that were unable to collect the items for a day the site had issues and lowered the requirements for the mentioned achievements.Neopets has been going down a slope sadly... Most of the fun stuff at the site are no longer functional due to flash biting the dust. Granted, they seem to be trying to go mobile friendly despite their previous venture into the mobile frontier (aka Neopets Mobile for the small handful of T-Mobile/Cellular users) but even the Lutari Island concept is still quite a weird note in their history books... Most of my activity is being over at GPX+ and while I can understand the argument of using PFQ instead, I've lost interest in the latter and have refused to return there for many reasons. I can understand them trying to be child-friendly, but maybe I felt like they're going a bit overboard on some parts. About That Hunt...I will still keep my shiny hunt going forward as I'm still collecting the electric and fairy gems needed for the eggs. For me, it's much easier that way as it doesn't give me an unneeded excuse to check PH as I want to make time for myself when it comes to reading or art (*drools*)... I miss my time to draw and I'm bad about not making time for it and thus, I'm trying to cut back where it's needed. Part of it is of course, losing the interest in returning. GPX+ somewhat feels less lenient and not too heavy on side items to take care of. Not that I'm saying I dislike the gardening for berries and cooking, but I just need a good reason to just DiScOnNeCt - even for a little bit.Sadly, I won't be cutting out Youtube since that's my background noise maker aside from the stuff I sometimes "watch" on my TV. Again, most of my online activity is now on GPX+ and Subeta. I have also checked into Dappervolk and I will sometimes play there as well. All three profiles I use are in my Contacts Box, but I do ask for only friends to send a PM there mentioning me and the usual "we were buddies on PH". [Read more] |

Title: Entry for November 7th, 2021Regardless, I do apologize for the lack of updates to my own diary/journal topic forum. Most of the time I spend here is just roaming around the site, grabbing eggs and sometimes interacting as usual. Account just turned a year old so now, it's a bit closer to toddler age. hahahaha... I'm honestly surprised to have stayed around this long to see it. Most of what kind of gave me that idea is due to a lot of anxiety-driven missteps during the first few months. Can I say that I wouldn't make those same mistakes again? Probably not. But at the same time, I'm open to improvements so it was a learning experience regardless. I was able to participate in the Halloween event here (but not the Questathon over at Subeta... *sad face* :( I completely got swamped with things and forgot) and had a good haul for a newbie. I didn't get the Megable PKMN from the event but I was happy with a Giratina Plush and some other miscellaneous specials. For the most part, I still tend to be very cautious and a bit grumpy when it comes to having folks on here add my presence to their friends list. I don't mind that, but please - give me a heads up and talking with me first! I will politely say "Yes, I would like to befriend you" or "I'm sorry, I'm trying to limit my current connections. I do appreciate your offer." The players with the default "no avatar" image kind of leave me in an unnerved state of mind. I've had some terrible experiences with folks online - especially back during my Tumblr days, so part of it had to do with that. At the same time though, I don't feel especially keen on the idea of being active and not finding a suitable image as your avatar. I can understand the limitations of the PH image uploader at 150x150 using either PNG or JPEG/JPG, but honestly, there's a plethora of sites that have such images that require little to no user intervention (aka: cropping and/or conversion). Granted, some just don't seem to mind having the default - but again, it's hard to tell whether such users are genuine players or just bots/trolls... Because we Americans still have Daylight Savings Time, we got an extra hour of sleep last night - that of which I spent worrying about little things as usual, huzzah! :'D Guess that means time to fix my digital clock on the shelf... I have to wait a bit before doing the same for my 2DS XL as I have been playing more of Pokemon Y and currently growing some berries while Super Training my Pokemon for the final gym leader. I admit that I do have a bit more of a soft spot for Gen 6. Even though it's quite easy for older players, it introduced quite a vast amount of cool mechanics. I honestly prefer Super Training over Hyper Training from Sun/Moon or the training Isle from PokePelago. Mega Evolutions were pretty cool and while it might look like it'll be absent once again in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, it was an interesting - if not a rather cool - idea. Title: August 28th, 2021I know at one point I felt a bit less restricted on who gets added to the personal block list, but I guess I got a bit more relaxed on that and only block when needed. I would still interact with folx despite their presence on the list as that seems to be the purpose of the game and honestly, I'm more worried about those people contacting me than interactions. The Pokedex Progress post here was actually updated after a millennia of being stuck in vertigo. At this point, I figured my main concern in terms of completion of the dex is probably the Kanto Dex then I would follow with Johto, Hoenn, and so on. For me, it just feels easier to edit than just picking a favorite region and starting there. Although, I had contemplated on going for a completed in some form of the Sinnoh dex but that would include every Arceus forme and Shaymin's sky forme... Pokemon Go decided to skip adding Alola Pokemon and went straight into Galar as I finally got Wooloo and the chipmunk (not even going to try and type that one out...) as well as Falinks. I honestly never understood the design of Falinks so maybe someone else does? Wooloo I admit is rather adorable and the cry really shows too. I still remain on that unsure fence when it comes to giving Sword/Shield a try. Part of it is indeed the Pokemon Burnout as I'm a bit of a longtime fan of the franchise. Then again, I'm willing to give Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl a try when everyone else seems to have written it off as "I'd rather play the originals than this..." They did the same for Let's Go Pikachu and Eevee, yet I can still see some differences that make it stand out on its own from their original game (regardless of the fact I watched a YT vid saying LG was actually remakes of Heart Gold which seems like completely baloney). I do want to share some pieces I've done, even if I admit to being a bit older...  More recent piece of Pokemon fanart than the next two. I want to say I've done this for a now "failed" attempt at a Pokemon Art Challenge. Not exactly sure on which one though as there's a ton of them to be found online. The best I could recall was that this was at least day 2 or 3 and it was your favorite mythical Pokemon.  Probably a more familiar piece I've had on my profile in the past. This was previously on my now defunct Tumblr blog and was again another fanart piece.  Oldest piece of art in the bunch here. Big time Sonic fan and this might be the closest that most online crowds might see when it comes to my art style. Sonic was done more in my personal style compared to doing it one for one as Sega has him in the 3D games. [Read more] |

 Yes, I did get the Melemele Island Dex done. Most of my progress will be preserved for the time being as I'm not going to erase the save at all. Despite the times Sun and Moon have really got me to rage quit a few times (a first for any Pokemon game, shockingly enough), it's still a bit of a small guilty pleasure to go back to... Although I think Ultra Sun is taking that game's spot on guilty pleasure - especially with the Ultra Space Ride minigame! I even caught a Latios once! Shame my Omega Ruby is corrupted otherwise I would be happy to figure out a way to see if I can salvage the Pokemon from the game card after getting a subscription to Pokemon Bank. Even in Ultra Sun, catching the Land Spirits aren't exactly hard with a Roto Catch and a bit of time. Aside from the easy difficulties in such things, I do miss Black 2 a bit. Got to try out the Black Tower (Black Skyscraper for those Japanese players possibly) and honestly, not much of a difficulty ramp as long as you have a good team and a variety of moves. I even try to have at least one draining move to use when HP is low. Granted, not every Pokemon is capable of learning one - so I try and give them an item that does just that as well. I'd do this over Battle Subway anyway. I'm not exactly good at competitive battling in that regard and PWT is a bit intimidating as well. [Read more] |

Title: August 4th, 2021I've been busy playing Pokemon on my 3DS and watching videos of a person playing Spyro the Dragon for the PS1 (or at least the trilogy games on the system when Insomniac Games owned the licence to the character). I've yet to play the Reignited Trilogy but I desperately would like to... Chances are I'll probably get the Switch version not because I support whatever messy messes Ninten seem to be up to lately, but because I was lured in by the console exclusive Collection of Mana... Since I might be getting questions on my recent feed post: yes, the whole Tumblr rant in my half of the post was not made up... I think that proof is in the pudding with the previous topic posts I've made here. Regardless, I don't support ripping away an individual's right to use whichever image they like as their profile picture. It would be nice to see folx taking into consideration that minors/children also play the site here regardless of whether or not they display that in their signature and/or profile about section. Sadly, not enough folx bother to read either one I'm willing to bet... I'm honestly thinking on reading a bit and then bed... My anxiety for tomorrow's events are probably what's making the stomach irritated. [Read more] |

Title: July 30th, 2021I've been getting my Pokemon fix through Shuffle and playing Ultra Sun. I'm currently in the process of leveling up my Alolan Ninetales before the League and then maybe doing some battles for money and stock up on items and PokéBalls for post game so I can just jump into the Poni Wilds after reloading the save. I've been trying to get more dex entries in but there are some that I haven't seen yet and thus, can't really go to GTS and ask for one to breed. I know for sure one of the missing entries is Zygarde and they wouldn't be available until post game... I'm contemplating on another PFP change as I kind of got easily tired out of the proto sprite Lucario... Not sure what I'll use just yet, but maybe another Lucky*Star one because it's the only thing that comes to mind so quickly. Weather has been hot and miserable, and the bugs aren't helping: gnats and flies mostly... I might not make a post announcing my leave/hiatus, but if I haven't posted in a long while and my last activity is a good month or so ago - there's your passive sign. Along with job search underway and a possible program I'll be getting into, I've got a lot of in real life stuff to worry about more than the online stuff. Most of the time, folx online irritate me anyways to where I rather just have my own space to be. Even my personal FB is getting cold shouldered by me it seems... Movement or lack there of is probably the cause and maybe by better time management, I can get stuff done and get myself moving. [Read more] |

Title: July 19, 2021I admit the book is a bit slow at first especially for a graphic novel but the art does help with my attention span. The idea of the plot can be related to real life nowadays with the whole gender roles and how girls tend to do a certain set of things while the boys have their own set. It does make you question that quite a bit. I guess in some circumstance, it's an LGBTQ book - but I think of it as a gender role challenging plot with beautiful art and a riveting story to go along with it. 4.6/5 stars for the rating. Title: July 17, 2021This is kind of a sequel to my rant/vent on recolor.me but I didn't want to spam folx I'm friends with and just figured, might as well go full blast via diary with no character limitations. I wanted to like the site despite not a lot of active folx and just the slight feeling of unwanted changes (which understandable coming from someone that is naturally enemies with new changes) and the influx of new players from some similar site called everskies. I looked at the site and at first glance ES didn't look too appealing to try... I already noticed at least two posts from now former players by now their distaste for the recent update and are leaving or considering on leaving - which sounds a bit familiar... The site has a lot of other places to post things like the share wall (a la Tumblr), artwork and stories (a la Deviant Art), polls (somewhat close to what Subeta does), games, and forums like about every other site in existence... The first two are reminiscent of their respective a la sites with the latter being too close to that territory... Polls are something a lot of users create and some can be creative and thoughtful. Although every now and again, there's always that one that makes you roll your eyes... Skipping is an option but there are some that don't take the skipping option too kindly - *sigh*... Games are as expected with a small selection and half of them being a bit PvP... The only thing I like about it for now is the avatars. It reminds me of Gaia Online's but more robust and a bit more UI friendly. The option to change the color of the items is a big plus. Saving outfits is another feature I liked. It does have a bit more to offer than Gaia's did. I also tried my hand at their collage feature, and it's not for me. I'm more of a traditional artist and while I have some experience in digital, I have a bit better luck with having a tablet connected than the mouse to do my art. The only exception is digital collages. All in all: I don't think I'll be active there very much. Not just because of future events, but it just didn't hold my interest like Dappervolk does. While a different user that had replied to my intro topic mentioned they had tried and it didn't stick, I'd say just about the opposite is going on with me. I can understand that with DV it's a bit more limited on what items your avatar can equip based on classes but it's more of a DnD-esque aesthetic personally and adds a bit more emphasis on creativity. Sure I can't replicate one for one my persona like on Recolor.me but I can at least be someone different entirely!  Here's the recreation of my persona as
mentioned. It's the closest I'll get to sharing an actual image of
him for a while so here you guys go... I'm too much of an
overprotective parent trying to make sure none of those hungry art
thieving hounds take off and eat him.
As of tomorrow, I'm no longer going to be active on PFQ. I'll make my last post there and maybe drop the link for my profile here, but not a whole lot of folx play here nowadays and are usually on there more... While I plan on making a long post considering its a farewell one, I'll omit any dramatics and negative stances on the site as a whole. I agree that there are some aspects I don't agree with them doing when it comes to running their site, but making a huge fuss on it is more like pouring lemon juice into their open wounds - and no-one is exactly being benefited from it. While I can try to do it on the PC since it's easier, I'd have to log in there. Most likely, I'll do it on the mobile site or when push comes to shove, type my "post" into a document, save it then transfer it to my mobile phone since I have been plugging it in to the laptop a lot more often. I'm going to go enjoy my leftover sweet curry dinner with no rice and maybe read or try to restore my lost artistry... [Read more] |

Not that anyone is bothered by that but then again, a lot of folx don't read and understand that no friend requests means no friend requests. I'm also a bit tired of the "oh I didn't read it clearly..." I've been a bit irritable lately as well due to the stress as mentioned earlier in this post. I figured since not a lot of folx are familiar with the idea of mood boards, I could share one I did for a character I don't own but have some history with.  Again, another relic from Tumblr days but still something I admit to being proud of. For those that have read at least a few of the CoVT books, you might already have noticed a few bits and why I used them. If not, I suggest reading them if you can. I've been trying to update the intro post here as often as possible with just enough information to where nothing too identifiable is revealed. I do have an interview for a spot in something that will consume most of my now free time that will more than likely help me tremendously in the long run. So fair heads up: my time here might be even more restricted if I managed to be selected to join. The more I attempt to wonder trades on Pokemon X, the more I lose hope in the human race... I think I had to release two Zigzagoon with Gluttony, and two Pokemon for having a little more than just tough love for nicknames from their original trainers... *sigh* I guess it's hard enough for me that releasing them would take off those chains. The whole "nicknames from their original trainer shows their love for them" is absurd garbage as noted here. I also apparently got a trainer as my WT partner twice and they got two Snivy from that, while I got the boomerang, lucky twit... Skin is having break out issues or something along those lines. Witch Hazel is my new friend by this point. It doesn't help that I've been drinking water less than I really ought to... Hopefully that will be subject to change now. [Read more] |

Title: July 12, 2021Undoubtedly I can't share it when it's finished due to the superiors known as my - you guessed it: anxiety... I think it's because of my negative experiences with Deviant Art when I used it prior to their hefty redesign and messy mobile site (I think so, at the very least) as well as just from following various FB pages. It just seems like a good portion of art thieves originate from China, but there are "rare" occasions where the thief themselves are English speaking it seems but are the most jerkish shell of a person. Regardless, it's not something that could be shared somewhere that a lot of yonger folx can access per say. Too much red that's not strawberry jam if I can explain it without getting slapped on the wrists... I had most of my images on my USB drives & PC already but I might of had to grab an extra few via internet. If there's anything I'd be fine doing aside from drawing or writing when it comes to developing my characters, it's moodboards, man! I absolutely recommend doing at least one for your character to at least once! They're so much fun!!! 😆 [Read more] |
