And the evolution is a secret till you find a trainers event pokemon and see it for yourself.

Okay, sooo.
For those of you who're still wondering/haven't read the feeds/comments on earlier feeds: it's the type of honey you use that defines which 'mon Apple's gonna evolve into! uwu
Regular Honey on your tree will trigger the Flapple evolution (tart apples), while Super Honey will give you Appletun (sweet apples) instead!
It worked perfectly fine for me - I was using Super Honey since yesterday (as were most of the users) and only ever got the Appletun event. After a couple of users and I huddled together and narrowed down the options, some of us switched to regular Honey and - ding ding ding - we got the Flapple event instead! :V
So, special shoutout to ImperialHound, Eskel, heha192 as well as Iccywolf who helped narrowing it down, testing things out, and figuring the whole "omg it's the Honey after all" thingy out in the end
