Congratulations dear students, you have now completed your final year at Riganois Academy!

Ahh, Riganois Academy, another one of those magical schools which seem to pop up around the land, each one more prestigious and dangerous than the last.

Oh, but Riganois just might be the last.

Hmm, what was that? I didn't say anything.

It's the second last day of school, finals are over and all are celebrating their newfound glory or weeping for their broken dreams. Indeed, Riganois Academy, where all who enter are equal and esteemed, where all who leave either find a distinguised life among the nobility or become obscure rejects of society.

Students mill about gathering their things, packing up and getting ready for the long trips back home, or if they're lucky enough, a direct invitation to join the High Court in their summer residence. A light breeze graces the turreted peaks of the campus, floats past the nests of various mystical birds, and dances among the vines of the Illusory Forest. Chatter can be heard everywhere, goodbyes being said, promises of still young hearts and minds made and whispered into the air.

There is only one thing left before everyone is left to their respective fates.

The Graduation Ball.

A tradition which has existed as long as the cracks in the rock of the Lonely Tower, where all the students of Riganois Academy gather for a final night of festivities, starting at midnight of the last day and lasting all the way until dawn. A mere few hours enchanted to feel like days.

Some whisper that the Ball holds more secrets than elders can tell, that it conceals lies beneath its sparkling exterior, and that this year, something is stirring in its blazing core.

Nono, there's no need to worry at all! Just enjoy the Ball, and your only concern will be what comes afterwards.

Banarit - The Daring
Those in the House of Banarit are steadfast, strong and brave. They are often described as impulsive and hotheaded, but their unwavering loyalty and strength is what makes them a proud House.
(Notes by the distracted student - Some whisper that Banarit has a gruesome history, and that their members crave blood, but those must just be legends made up to scare First Years.)

Selineile - The Cunning
Like a trickling stream, like a dancing butterfly, we of House Selineile are the most graceful and elegant of all the houses. Join us if you think you are able to prove yourself as refined as those in our tight circle, those who are quick in both movement and tongue.
(It is said that while Selineile Houses the wittiest and most agile of Riganois, their students are often seen lazing around with friends. It is also wise for the less experienced to avoid them on their first day.)

Lavetiara - The Enchanted
Watch as dawn breaks, watch as birds fly, watch as flower petals gently settle. The Enchanted House of Lavetiara sparkles with a soft light, waiting and holding its breath for the next mystical student to join its ranks.
(Lavetiara, the House of the beautiful Laneis, oh how I wish she would just look at me... The most magical yet kindest House of all, perfect in their own gentle aura.)

Perhaps the most important thing of all, what determines your standing within Riganois.

The students of Riganois are split into Ranks based on their performance during the entirety of the year. They are awarded points in the form of Crystals for exceptional performance, and the ten students with the most Crystals are known as the Elite, a circle almost no one else can have hopes of joining. Those with just slightly less are the Diamonds, glittering above and very desirable. Next are the average students, the Gemstones, who enjoy splitting themselves into groups with names of their own choosing. Finally, the Shadows, the forgotten bottom feeders who have lost all their Crystals due to bad behaviour and who no one wants to be seen with.

Scarlett is a rare subrace of Satyr and Satyress that are much less known then know their goat counterpart, due to this variant almost being never recorded as they were very rarely seen causing little to none known about this unique subrace, some not even believing they're real compared to their goat veterans thanks to how little information that ever recorded about them, as the biggest difference of this race is that they were half unicorn then there goat counterpart that was depicted a lot more. Scarlet herself has a slender but attractable build with a distinct lower half of a black fur unicorn, as she had a red diamond symbol with white borders around the edges on her hip, while having a lengthy but gorgeous red tuff tail with white streaks in it, dragging behind her whenever she would rest it down on the ground, there cloven hoof being the same white but instead having a red stocking going up her leg with a white ring on the top to end it, as well having little white tufts of fur on the back of her ankles. Scarlett would always have to have the fanciest and gorgeous of clothes and would never settle for anything less, easily becoming repulse if she wasn't given something that wasn't up to her own standards, not to mention she would refuse to interact with anyone that she deemed had the disgusting clothing, plus she would also never not be seen wearing some kind of dress, with Scarlett's favorite being one with a bow on the back of the ribbon that was tied around the waist portion of the dress, with the only other exceptional clothing being tin tops but always with some form of skirt. Scarlett hair was almost always up in a ponytail and she heavily disliked having it down, with her hair having the same red color with white stripes similar to her tail tuff, there eyes being a clear light blue but out of everything the most well sought and praise future was her stunning and magical unicorn horn, as this horn was the charming red with white rings curling up to the tip of the horn, she also had distinctive horse like ears on the side of her head that were a little different, due to them being bigger and longer as well more fluffier with fluffy tuff inside them, she also wore earrings as she had her ears pierced with Scarlett loving and wearing any type of jewelry she could get her hand on.
Personality:
Clever with words that she knew how to use well and incredibly cunning when it comes to her own gain, as Scarlett would woo other to toy with in the end without much effort thanks to her beauty while being incredibly charming with words, doing this for no other reason that she found fun and enjoyment leading other on as well getting her own little perks, usually having these toys get her whatever she wants by using her beauty and charm to her advantage. Scarlett tends to come off as the most nicest and friendliest person you would meet, then slowly beginning to show some of her more distantful side of her personalities, unheasonly throwing jab at them for any aspect of their appearance she found rather unattractive, as well using kindness to their advantage as she would ask to kindly borrow things, never returning them in the end as this was secretly something she happened to really want but someone else had. But even if she had more fun showing her not so good qualities as deep down she had some rather good qualities also, as if you manage to win Scarlett over on your side which wasn't the most easiest thing to do, then you would have a credibly loyal and genuine caring companion by your side, with a lot of her not so good qualities actually stemming from noticing that a lot of people don't seem to be interested getting to know the person themselves these days, following in the footsteps of others people she would witness being incredibly selfish and only caring about themselves and what they want, not to mention it's the only way she learned to have people even notice her in the first place. When you do win her over as Scarlett will begin talking to you was clear respect and no longer looking down on you, with the other person having to show true dedication and loyalty before she would begin to loosen up, not behind getting into any form of violence if someone dare tries to mess or to even touch someone who win her loyalness, secretly also hoping to find a actual boyfriend or girlfriend that's simply wasn't a toy but the one she could actually love and loved her back, only ever wanting was people not to treat her like a monster of death and not to be tormented or attacked, just like how her own kind did to her.
Background:
Originating from a seclusive forest of a small village that was built by her own kind so all of them could stay together, as these half unicorn folks had the purest of white fur and goldest of horns, with these horns having elusive power to heal the wounded and cure poison, as these creatures would go find and heal other wounded animals wounds causing them to be a highly respected race by wildlife. But Scarlett was a special and odd case, as instead of the healing magic being the dominant magic, with this magic being overpowered by the magic ability to cure poison, but thanks to this as the healing effect it was meant to have instead became the ability to grant poison, due to the healing magic being overthrown losing its effect and instead doing the opposite, so when she was born all the other unicorn folks were alarm soon as they saw her eerie black fur instead of the pure white. But nonetheless when she became old enough for her to begin to use her magic, as one of the other unicorn folks brought her a wounded baby deer, with Scarlett doing her thing and using her magical horn on the baby deer, as the baby deer seeming to be fine when it's wound was healed and soon release to go back to its mother, yet only for one of the unicorn folks to find the deer dead a few days later. With one of them bringing back to the village to analyze the cause of death, coming to the conclusion that the baby deer was poisoned and died a slow and painful death, causing the unicorn folks to kick out the young Scarlett without a second thought and giving her the nickname "The Venomous Horn" whenever a unicorn folk would come across her in the woods. Distraught and only seeing herself as a monster of death as Scarlet ran away far away from the woods, soon finding herself in academy to use as temporary shelter, as she would hide during the day and only come out when the school closed for tonight, but it wasn't long before she was caught by one of the teachers that was happening to leave a lot more later than normal, becoming incredibly frightened that she would be kicked out and forced to go back to the woods where she would be tormented by her own kind again, but much to her surprise the teacher took her in as their own as when she hit the age she was able to enroll in the academy, with this teacher that was their adopted parent figure enrolling them for her.
Power:
as stated before, Scarlett has the ability to inflict a spell of poison with the first day having the victim seemingly be fine, but after the first days of the initial spell has passed, then the victim would become worse and worse only in a couple hours and perishing on the second day, then dieing on the third day. She can also kill trees, plants, and grass with this poison, but rarely does so as she doesn't actively wish to destroy nature, beside to one of the few things that ain't scared of her compared to the wildlife.
Weakness:
this poison can be healed by antidotes or any cureing spell as soon as someone has noticed symptoms, due to this being regular poison but still kills rather fast due to it attacking the body soon as the spell is cast. There's also times where Scarlett poison magic will overload due to this magic never stopping replenishing even when there's too much to contain, with this poison never killing her but causing her to become incredibly sick and have the same symptoms of someone who was cast with her spell would, sadly having it to run its course as there's no way to treat it as during this time Scarlett will usually find a place to hide around the school, suffering from the overload of poison in silence as she's doesn't want anyone to notice when she's in this sickly state.

When's Scarlett happened to still be residing in the woods as fueled by resentment momentarily when she was kicked out when she comes to regret now, as Scarlett would wait for young unicorn folks to come out and play before coming up to them, luring them away from the village to play she would tie them up to a tree with tough rope she would steal from the village, well also stealing tape so she could put it over their mouths to prevent them to scream to bring out any of the grown ups. Shortly casting them with the spell of poison as she would leave to let them die a suffering death, with unicorn folks usually finding the corpse of the young one as they would bring it back to hold a proper ceremony, having a gut feeling it was caused by the venomous horn but yet they were never able to find her no matter how much they tried to hunter out, this becoming soon too much to bear for Scarlett as once the resentment were off, she was overcome with guilt becoming incredibly distraught and truly running away far away from the woods, seeing herself nothing more than a monster that can kills because of her cursive power.

PP means Palpad, it's the little red book symbol next to the notifications globe symbol, and serves as a kind of more informal chatting method compared to PM (Private Messages). Ayran stands at a good height of 5'9, with a slender yet not too muscular build. He has barely shoulder length metallic golden locks that slightly covers his droopy molten gold eyes. The messy locks are occasionally held apart with a pin or hairclip.

Ayran wears a white frilled blouse, over a black vest with gold linings and small golden chains. Paired with waist high leather pants, combat boots with have good grip and a pair of black gloves that are fingerless on the thumb. His whole appearance is a mix of simplicity and wealth, plus practicality. Not too extravagant that it attracts attention left and right. At least that was what he thought.

Despite how much he enjoys to be left alone, his bright, always shining platinum blond locks seems to attract attention left and right. Quoted by certain students, it is said that his molten gold eyes seems to make people swoon whenever he fells into deep contemplation.

Despite failing to be lowkey, Ayran doesn't take his failure to heart. If anything, he embraces the attention and uses it to his advantage. There is no one in the school whom Ayran doesn't know and hasn't talked to before. Due to his excellent communication skills and his little ' safety radar ' he knows who he could trust by his side and who he should avoid.

With a coy tongue and a charming look, it is inevitable that he becomes a popular heartthrob within the student body. Not only is he extremely intelligent, but is kind, reliable and humble. This guy almost has no enemies within the school.

Don't quote me but I would say it would be allowed for there to be multiple mythical and fantasy base species, seeing how my character is a poisonous unicorn satyress which is meant to be a play of how it was believed unicorn horns had a healing property against poison, plus I like the half unicorn people but I barely see them :(

Appearance: An inky black humanoid figure with glowing white eyes. They emit a faint black haze around them that gives them the appearance of being composed of gas. They prefer to wear a long blue scarf, a navy cloak, and bronze colored gloves. They also carry a small black parasol.
Personality: Astrophel is reserved yet highly curious and inquisitive. Due to this curiosity, they have acquired a large sum of knowledge but can still be rather naive from time to time. Astrophel is wary of their powers as although they are extremely powerful, they are also highly unnatural compared to those of their peers. Astrophel often attempts to learn the origin of both themselves and their powers.
Background: Astrophel was raised by a coven of witches who claimed that they found Astrophel as an infant in the center of a small crater. They adopted the customs of the witches and donned a cloak. However, once Astrophel grew old enough to begin rudimentary magical training, the witches discovered Astrophel had no affinity for fire, ice, lightning, or any other common element. The witches then discovered that Astrophel had other, unnatural powers. The strength and volatility of these powers eventually became hard for even the witches to control. The witches then proceeded to send Astrophel to Riganois Academy in order for Astrophel to learn how to control their powers.
Powers: Astrophel has three unique abilities. They can alter their body, allowing them to be incredibly versatile in both combat and in day to day tasks. However the truly unnatural ability is their ability to interact with shadows. Although they emit no shadow themselves, they can attack the shadow of their enemies. All shadows attacked by Astrophel will act sort of like voodoo dolls, causing any damage done to the shadows be projected onto the caster of the shadow. Astrophel can also turn into a shadow themselves, allowing them to slip through cracks. In addition to their shadow manipulation, they can also expel more of the dark haze that surrounds them in order to temporarily dim an area though this is extremely draining in most cases.
Weakness: Astrophel’s abilities stem from darkness and thus, they are weaker in the presence of light. In typical daylight, Astrophel is able to alter their body somewhat but they cannot alter their size nor make any other drastic alterations. Their shadow manipulation is also reduced as they can temporarily slow someone down by grabbing their shadow but they cannot cause any direct harm to the shadow. Extremely bright sources of light can even strip Astrophel of their powers entirely. It is for these reasons that Astrophel is always seen with a parasol on hand. However, Astrophel’s abilities grow in the absence of light. In total darkness, Astrophel can make significant alterations to their appearance, paralyze people entirely by grabbing their shadows and even rip people to shreds by mutilating their shadows. Although this may seem like a strength, Astrophel has trouble controlling themselves in this state and is constantly on the verge of going berserk.

Misdeeds: In their first year, Astrophel had gone berserk during the night due to their powers. It took many people with torches and lanterns in order to subdue them but not before causing major damage. Although this event was not considered as a true misdeed as Astrophel was not in control of themselves, it still prevented them from becoming a diamond or elite.

In answer to questions:
1. Species: Any species is allowed, you can make fusions, so long as the character is still humanoid and has a human-like thought process. So ShimmeringSuicune said it pretty well, you can be creative with what kind of species you want your character to be.

2. Powers: It would be nice if your character sticks to a kind of "base" power, so all their powers fit into that kind of category. This would be like if a character's "base" power being fire, and they can have the ability to manipulate/create fire, etc. Or they are have mental abilities, so their powers would be being telepathic and telekinetic.
If they's kind of hard to understand, yes your character can have multiple "powers", the above is just a nice way to keep the RP organised.

All forms of powers are allowed, there isn't really a "system" like a magic quota or something. (Although you could give your character one.) So any power you can dream up is good, so long as it isn't unreasonably strong.

A rather relaxed man with a sharp intellect and a knack for procrastination and chaos, Kendo tends to break the rules more often than he enforces them. He's kind, but hides it behind a veneer of aloofness.

Background:
They call him The Trickster. The Loki within a group of Aesirs. He may not follow rules to a te, bit he's smart. Really smart. Really, really damn smart. There's not a puzzle that could ever stop him, no mystery left unsolved. Not even the mystery of his mother's death. Nor his sister's disappearance. Or what his dad was doing, cooped up in that dark basement. It wasn't the science experiments or philanthropy he was known for anyways. Well, I guess it was a science experiment. If you count his sister's anesthesized and half-limbless, barely-alive body a science experiment.

Power:
Spatial Distortion. Portals, teleportation, Gojo's Domain Expansion, etc.
kendo’s form of spatial distortion is a interesting one. The name may be a little misleading, as it’s not really Spatial ‘distortion’ so much as Spatial Manipulation. Kendo has the ability to freely manipulate space to his whims, albeit all space within a 50-mile radius. He can open portals that lead to anywhere within his range, can effectively use short-range teleportation, and make it so that his opponents feel as though the space between him and them is infinite. He can use portals as weapons to, slicing off limbs by closing the portals he. Creates as his opponents move through them.

Weakness:
If he uses his powers too much he goes at risk of overheating. When he overheats too much, he ends up spontaneously combusting.

Depends. Always 5'5. Most of the time, she's in her "Trix" form, a rather petite girl with platinum-blonde hair tied into twintails and forest-green eyes. Her skin is rather fair. In her true form, her hair's a shade darker, straighter, and longer, and her eyes are a dark orange-red.

Personality:
Trixie pretends to be a cheerful, bubbly, and somewhat- to put it kindly- dumb- girl. She acts rather air-headed and mindlessly cheerful. But under that, is a Flirty, bold, highly intelligent manipulator, who pretends to be dumb to absolve herself of any misdoings. She also thinks it's funny to shift into her normal form to mess with the boys.

Umm...Ganted I don't happen to be AthenaHere, but I imagine it's a very slim chance for characters to be outright accepted to be natural elites, seeing how this rank only has 10 people and any other rank has about no hope getting in, but then again I ain't the boss here. Plus I imagine the character has to have a really good reason to be a elites, like how is my characters there soon good reasons for them to be in the diamond rank, seeing how they're adopted parent was a teacher with them being attractive so they're well known and popular, due there natural charm and beauty so they don't have to do much for others to naturally fall in love with them and having people flocking over to praise their beauty and such.
