Twilight Cometh(Thread)
Forum-Index → Roleplay → Twilight Cometh(Thread)She let out a sigh, relaxing before turning to properly face Truth. A warm, glowing hand gently took Truth’s into her own, as Celine closed her eyes for a moment and concentrated. “I don’t need to be an Empath to know that’s not true. Is there anything I can do, perhaps?” Her voice is soft when speaking to Truth, catching her line of sight.
“Oh. Something about you and Emma, I presume?” The voice crack…the nerves…the eyes- whilst Celine was still rather confused on what was going on, she now knew for certain that Truth was not all that well. And that meant mama bear mode.
She ignored the barbs aimed at the villains, refusing to take any of it personally. Perhaps they just didn't understand the moniker. The word 'villain' was highly offensive to the average person. And here it was being thrown around without a second thought. Villainy was a force to turn the public opinion against you. Very few people could see that for the power it was, and dare to harness its potential. Because only the best were strong enough to call themselves villains. Only the best and the broken.
Offensive comments aside, they seemed nice enough. All of them were magnetic in terms of the personal sense, drawing people into their orbit, interacting in the endless dance of attraction and repulsion, push and pull. And Elle was a dull piece of iron caked in too much rock, waiting only for a social magnetokinetic to pull her back in again. It was at times like these, when she was in the middle of a crowd witnessing the most basic of human interactions, that she acutely realized all that she had lost.

"I, uh, mmh... is it... that obvious?"
Truth laughed quietly.
Logic glanced at Celine, then back to Seraph.
"So....? Do you want to join or not. Hurry up, I'm on a tight schedule."

Truth stared at her hands quietly.
"The closest thing I had to a mother was... Emma... but that.... that didn't work out. All I really had was my Brother and my Creator."
Her...creator? Odd choice of words.
Emma sighed, as she watched Truth and Celine, moving over to Elle.
"Hi there!"
She smiled cheerfully.
"You look pretty bored! Want me to keep you company?"
"10 minutes."
Logic tapped his watch.

She leaned back lazily, still floating in middair, her temporary cynicism gone. Emma seemed like a good ally, especially since she somehow managed to simultaneously annoy Logic and unnerve Truth. And since Logic annoyed her and Truth unnerved her, it all worked out. Elle wondered if she too had known Abyss.

My current RP work:
Celine finished braiding Truth’s hair, now running her fingers through the neatly woven braids.
“Anywho, enough about me, but if you need a mother figure….. Sooooo… two things. Care to explain further about Emma? And the more important question, what do you mean by creator?”
Truth laughed quietly.
"A little bit ridiculous, huh? And my... creator... Miss Celine, I'm... not exactly human, you see...?"
She sighed, quietly.
"why am I telling you all this..."
"This... Lot? Oh you mean Logic, Truth and Reform. Well, they're... they're my family, I guess. I just kinda... fell into their lives and never left. We're all orphans, with nowhere to go, so we stuck together."
Emma shrugged.
"Not much to tell."

Elle opened her mouth and closed it again, dreading the answer that she was going to receive. Eventually, she spoke again in a nonchalant tone. "Who's Reform?"

Emma sighed.
"Do you miss him? Because I do. I miss him all the time."

“You look pretty human to me. Felt pretty human too. Soo…what are you then, if not human? Are your friends,” She paused and gestured to Emma and Logic, “like you? How does this even work anyway? Forgive me for being rude, but I am extremely curious, do you have a soul?”
Truth sighed quietly.
"I don't know how my body works."

Celine looks mildly surprised at her next words. “Truth dear, I’m a experienced and extremely qualified nurse but even I don’t know how our bodies work. Not in full. There are some things perhaps better left unexplained. It’s okay to not know everything about myself. Why, when I was in the City of God I didn’t even know I had a breaking point until I actually snap- Nevermind, ignore that. What I’m trying to say is you seem like a wonderful person, Truth. And you don’t need to be perfect. Or human.”
Celine says, trying her best to soothe Truth.
“Well….since we’re going to be each others companions on this journey to save the world or something…may I ask what your range of powers are?”
She flexed her hand slightly, the tips of her fingers black as charcoal.
"Well, that happens."
Lydia sighed quietly.
"...and... I have this thing that Logic made for me called a 'drive', an artificial ability... he called it the 'Mind Drive'. I don't... use it much. it's... it's scary. I'm not gonna use it..."
