Forum-Index → Roleplay → Twilight Cometh(Thread)“Well, I suppose since you told me about your powers, I should share mine. I’m able to heal anything from minor abrasions to fatal wounds, but I cannot replace any organs. I can also shroud anything in darkness for a period of time, leaving anyone within the darkness completely blind, and can also use the shadows to hide and teleport from place to place. I’m also capable of animagenesis, meaning I can creat sentient beings by splitting my soul. These beings have their own personality and have no particular form. They are powerless, but with an unmatched physique. They’re also pretty indestructible too, come to think of that. As long as I’m not dead, they remain alive. My last power is pretty uncontrollable, as it depends on my mood. Ice and various prickly vines shoot up from the ground, randomly in a circle around myself of a radius of two meters. I have no control over this power, and my emotions heavily impact this power.”
She paused.
"And Mind Drive... no, it's not controlling other's minds. It's controlling my own. I can turn off some functions of my emotions, such as the ability to feel empathy, or joy, or anger... it just... kind of turns me into a... weapon."

The truth of the matter was, despite all the talk, they didn’t truly need him from an objective standpoint.
But He Who Blooms Spidering Lillies, despite it all, was curious. If they could tear into the root of the problem, then his endless wandering would come to an end. He could live out his quaint fantasies he had deluded himself with eons ago. He could finally find the time to grow his own flowers from seed, harvesting and laying them out on graves of friends long gone, live the life free of war as they had all dreamed of. He was the only one left, after all.Mother seemed to purr in agreement, her approval of his direction in life a warm weight in his chest. Well, if he could at least try and bring about that far off future that had only ever appeared in long forgotten dreams, then…
“Well I guess tagging along won’t be that bad, even if for all your flattering words it doesn’t hide that I am the expendable one. ” He admitted, smiling ruefully. “I go by many names, Satoshi, -Ares, He Who Blooms Spidering Lillies, but for the contract please call me Seraph. I’ll be in your dubiously capable hands, Logic.”
“I use my control over the shadows mainly for travel, and shrouding people in darkness for certain treatments and procedures in the hospital, so I suppose that’s decently strong too. I don’t really know if you would call my last ability a curse or an actual power though. Like I said, I have no control over it and can hurt both allies and enemies. It’s also somewhat terrifying, I have no idea when my emotions will trigger it. I suppose we both have ability we fear then?” She listens to Truth’s explanation of her ability, nose scrunching as if having an internal battle within her brain.
“Emotions aren’t necessarily bad in a fight, though? I find that people are stronger when they have something to fight for. Yes, sometimes they can cloud your mind, and absolutely massacre you sense of judgment and ability to plan, but being emotional isn’t a bad thing, is it?”
"Yes, I miss him. But I don't, no, I can't think about it." She said it matter of factly, like there wasn't a proverbial dagger ripping her in two. "I bury my emotions. And if I distract myself well enough, I can turn them off completely. Like I told Logic, I'm very good at running away from my problems, Emma. So your question is a loaded one. What's done is done, the past must remain the past."
And Elle had to deal with the guilt.
"Tell me about the Abyss you knew. Tell me about Reform. He would have been older than Logic, no? Did he start your little band of heroes?" Ugh, even that word. But it had a different connotation here than it had in an apocalyptic City of God. Elle had to remember that.

Emma stared out to the horizon.
"He was everyone's best friend, even with the police officers and heroes who often detained us. He was smart, powerful, and charming. His charisma had a way of making everyone around him support his cause."
Emma twiddled her thumbs.
"I can't give you an objective view of him, because... well, I'll admit, when I was a kid, I had a massive crush on him. But what I saw him as, was a man who wasn't afraid to uphold his beliefs. A man who wanted a better world for everyone, even if lives had to be sacrificed."

And to have had a crush of Kendo. Elle could kind of see it. She had entertained that thought for all of five seconds before realizing she wanted to work with him, not kiss him.
"A man who wanted a better world for everyone, even if lives had to be sacrificed..." She repeated Emma's words thoughtfully. "He sacrificed himself. How does that make you feel?"

"...What kind of relationship did you two have?"

"Then I killed him so our plan would work. And inadvertently put the nail in the coffin ensuring some sort of twisted monster revolution."

Elle just wanted a mission. All this small talk was making her uncomfortable. When was Logic going to outline his plan?

Noticing her discomfort, Emma smiled softly.
"Don't worry. I'm sure Art- Logic is setting up some sort of grand presentation right now."

Elle looked up surreptitiously, her gaze drifting before landing back on Emmadness. "I mean, you have a thing for Logic, obviously. But did you ever have one for Aby- Reform?"

Emma laughed.
"...I'm over it."
Logic stood up.
"Alright! Everyone's here and ready!"
He clapped.
"Let's head to the City of Wisdom, shall we? Monster extermination is a time-consuming job, after all!"

Truth muttered swears under her breath, opening a portal.
The city of wisdom was compeltely destroyed it seemed.
All that remained were the hordes of monsters visible through the portal and the piles of debris.
"Onwards!"

“You guys coming, or what? We have monsters to eliminate!”
And monsters. Terrifying monsters that looked like a horde of ants in the distance, swarming over everything. Emmadness's detonation clearly hadn't killed enough of them. What did Logic hope for? A complete extermination? Even with the powers of the individuals in the group, that seemed far-fetched.
Elle suspended herself in the air with the power of the magnetism of Earth's core. A simple ghostly shield of raw ionic power enveloped the portal and the travellers in her party. She closed her eyes again, raising her arms up from her sides. And then in a single motion, she lowered them, opening her eyes. An electromagnetic shockwave pulsed outwards, knocking thousands of monsters to the ground, their bones vibrating painfully. Many of them died instantly, another large portion falling seconds later. But a good number of them got up, and kept on coming.
