My current RP work:
Artemis was dealing with the one Jack had tied up, knocking him out with a mallet of ice.
The phoenix house had tied the first black mage on a stake, chanting some demonic summoning ritual with Siren.

Upon seeing the black mages, Jasmine lashes out, attacking with all her might. As she got closer to one of them, she noticed something, and immediately her eyes turned furious. When the battle was over, she leapt over to where Andrea was, slapped her harshly and hissed something into her ear, before throwing her another venomous look and leaping over to Jack, somehow catching up with the speedy girl. “Oi! Jackery Soot, am I right? New prefect? I want to tell you something!”
She had failed. She couldn't protect them. It was all her fault. She was an imposter, a thief. Why had she even bothered to come here to learn magic? She wasn't like the rest of them. A pretender. She had succeeded, lulling herself into a false sense of security, only to fail at the most important moments. Jack didn't deserve to be here. She didn't deserve her prefect's badge, her leadership, nothing. She was too weak, too slow, too stupid, too arrogant.
She didn't deserve her magic.
And now Sera -- small, hurt, sleepy Sera -- was in the clutches of the Masquerade. To be sold at an auction. To be hurt. And Jack couldn't protect her.

And there was Artemis, cold and stoic as ever. he walked up beside her, as calm as ever. His expression was perfectly neutral. Who knew what went on in his mind, beyond that apathetic shell of his?

Eris huffed a couple breaths. The fight was finally over... She winced and grimaced when Jasmine came over to Andrea, slapping the poor girl and hissing something into her ear. Once the rude sibling was gone, Eris checked on Andrea, pressing a cold hand to where she had gotten slapped to help sooth the sting. That's when Andrea's words from before caught up to her. The cloud girl? Wait where was she?! The black mages must have...gotten her...

Marina was so confused and nervous. After she had caught Sera, she had collapsed to the ground as well. Her legs, already damaged, hadn't taken too kindly to the tremendous force of landing. She had been unable to do anything when the black mage Sera had been fighting appeared and snatched Sera away... She couldn't do anything to help her...
She looked at Artemis bleakly. He was the one person who might be honest, but she didn't care.
Walking through the hall, she approached Mercader. She took her perfect badge out of her pocket, holding it up to the light. "I'm not sure if I deserve this. I failed."

My current RP work:
Andrea smiles gratefully at Eris, before looking worriedly at the spot where Sera had disappeared. “Think cloud girl will be okay? I’m guessing she probably went where Kendo went, but unlike Kendo, I’m not sure if she can really handle herself. She seems fragile…”
Mercader glanced over Jasmine, a curious glint in his eyes.
"I'll look into it. But, Young Mage, I recommend something."
His expression was unreadable.
"While I am not accusing you of anything, try to leave personal affairs out of this. Alright?"

Perhaps it was because, just as they were fire, she was like ice, completely incompatible. But for some reason, seeing the redhead trying to be a different person for her, made her heart sting a bit.
Elvira shouldn't have the need to change herself just for someone as pathetic as she is. She should be a hot flame that attracts everyone. Not stuck with someone who hides themselves in the shadows, indoor all day long.
"..I- I never said that. You know what, just be who you are naturally alright? I think I like that side of you the best.." Shieta mutters.
She walks ahead a little, but simply because she is in her own thought.
"In my village, we all are fiery hot! We live under the sun's mercy and repay it's warmth with our own! We toss balls with vigor, we cook with unrelenting fervor! We show them that the fire in our hearts cannot be quenched."
"... so finding someone as cool-headed and collected like you is awesome. You're unique, you're cool, you look good... you know?" She scratches the back of her head now.
"We're not alike but... you know. The ox doesn't go to the spring to warm up." It was... her people's way of saying "opposites attract".

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.
