Setsuna Jun
A serpent’s grip encircled him. His mother looked up through a sharp smile, and pried the snake’s maw, dripping saliva-covered fangs reaching-
“NO!” he yelled, and threw her off. He shoved her as hard as he could, without thinking of the railing behind her.

Setsuna Jun
She fell in slow motion. Setsuna watched her go down- a bundle of flailing limbs and piercing screams-
And then she hit the water with a splash. Water sprayed everywhere- splattering over his face, like a man’s blood. A soldier, sent to his unknowing doom, turned into crystallized blood and stone skin. His fingers found his cheek, and he felt blood.
“Help me-” she cried. Her voice cracked all over. Every feminine pitch broken into pieces, terror wreathing around and around, squeezing her words into nothingness.
Did he want to help her?
Did he want to help mother?
He took a step back.

Setsuna Jun
Setsuna licked his lips nervously and turned back to face the bustling street. He took another step away. Then tore off running, running running away.
Her cries pounded in his ears.
He couldn’t leave his guilt in the rainwater beneath his feet.
He skidded and he fell, landing face first in the mud. He lay, frozen, listening to the thunder overhead, water soaking through his clothes and into his skin.
Setsuna squeezed his eyes shut and begged to die.

Hornet hears screaming for help and in moments she is at the bridge looking around, she looks down and sees a woman hanging from the side and then looks over to a boy run down the street and fall down. She jumps off and throws her needle into the bottom of the bridge and swings across the bottom and grab the woman, she swings back up and sets her down on the top then she grabs her needle and pulls it up. She looks down at the woman and asks, "Are you okay, and what happened?"

"I know you do, they are more of a pleasant surprise. I did not expect you to eat them." Lean smiles, as the tea was heated to an optimal temperature to prevent any bitterness.

Third Person POV
Amber eyes watched Setsuna flee. Their attention shifted as the newcomer lifted the dripping girl from the waters, and heaved her onto the boardwalk.
Her heavy breaths scraped the air. The figure's barely brushed it- silent as a grave.
Their eyes shifted towards Setsuna's fleeing form, as he fell and landed in the mud.
The man smiled to himself, but the light never met his eyes. The amber was a thousand shades darker than the midnight black of his hair. Soon, he mouthed, and melted back into the shadows.
Setsuna continued fleeing, without a glance back. But for some reason, a shiver lanced up his spine...
Adrik Volkov
Adrik went along with them- wasn't really much for him to do at this point. Each hallway sparked a new branch, and his achy crusted eyes began to protest. He stumbled as they entered a new corridor. They seized him by the shoulders and began to drag him.
Limply hanging in their grasp, he caught a glimpse of someone in another room.
"Hey-!" he called half-heartedly. The guards' grips tightened on his shoulders and they picked up the pace. He gave up- it wasn't like anyone would come to his rescue. He was technically a criminal.
Jeez, he sighed internally. Can't a kid get a break?
And then, suddenly, someone stood in front of them.
Adrik looked up, startled, and hissed as the guard yanked his head down by his hair.
"Nothing, sir," the man said gruffly. "We're just taking the prisoner to the brig. He was caught sneaking on castle grounds."
----
"You are too kind. I am just doing my job." Lean smiles, looking over at Selaphiel and picking up a bag. "Well, I am ready. Let's catch some fresh air and give them all five more minutes. I am sure King Caspian wants to say his goodbyes to Henry and his staff."
