advent egg was claimed while my party was full, and it didnt give me any error message that my party was full so i didnt know. Tried checking egg storage, and also tried claiming it again but all it says is gift received... help?

You'll have to wait for Riako, then. It showed up in the Storage Boxes the first 5 - 10 minutes, but it seems the site caught on and removed the egg if it was in a Storage Box.

This is really strange. And I saw someone else mention in a reply to a feed about it that it’s not a glitch, that it’s supposed to be that way, because apparently if there’s an egg in a Christmas gift that someone sends to you, and your party’s full when you try to open it, then you’ll get nothing from that Christmas gift... Is that true about the Christmas gift eggs? And is that a glitch as well? I’m pretty sure that I replied to that feed, but I can’t find it now, so I guess the person who posted it deleted it.

Christmas Gifts and the Advent Calendar aren't exactly the same thing, mostly because you can only get the Egg once from the Advent Calendar, while you get another chance to get a Retro Egg from every other Christmas Gift you get.

I'm also classifying this as a bug, because right after reset, I've seen the Advent Eggs sitting in Storage Boxes, because the party was filled up. Those Eggs seem to have been deleted, but considering Riako hasn't been online for a few hours, I doubt it's his doing, so there's a bug that first put the Eggs in the Storage Box and then deletes them. I don't know what the intended behaviour for Advent Calendar Eggs is, hence the unmoved/unsolved bug report.

I just found someone who has the event egg in their first box, so it looks like that part of the bug is still happening. I let them know, so hopefully they’ll be able to get it and it won’t be deleted.

Edit: The person who had the egg in their first box was able to move it to their party, and it looks normal now.

Edit 2: Or maybe this person’s egg isn’t entirely normal after being removed from the box, because when I interacted with it just now it didn’t have a picture on the interaction page. But maybe that’s normal, I don’t know.

But is it true that the Christmas gift eggs will be lost if your party is full when you open the gift? I’ll have to be careful if that’s true. And can there be more than one egg in a Christmas gift, so you’d need to have multiple spots open in your party or else lose them? And can there be an egg along with other stuff, meaning that I might have lost Christmas gift eggs without knowing it because I just thought I got something else?

There are also some users who don't get the Egg anywhere, so it seems to be a selective bug.

Yes, if you open a Christmas Gift with a full party, the retro egg that was in it, will be deleted and the content will say "empty".
No, there can only be 1 egg per Gift.
[Also, this is really not the place to ask questions; you should've made a Help-thread about it, because this is unrelated to the reported bug]

Same just happened to me. My party was full and can't click on the case again. It's saying I already got the gift. Can't find the egg.

Here are things about myself some of my favorite pokemon lines are tertwig, sandile, applen, and all fossil mons. My favorite songs are the living tombstone songs, imagine dragons, ajr, rap music, and creepypasta podcasts. I'm 18 years old and my first name starts with an A and i don’t drive at all.

Nope, I dont think so. The same problem over here: completed the challenge with full party, nothing in box either.

It's not helpful, but I thought I'd mention that I managed to do it while distracted by my hunt. facepalms I just wanted to make sure if it got fixed manually for those who've suffered the seemingly bug that I was able to get mine.
Just remember: You can't prove God didn't crawl out of the ocean.

update I believe it is fixed as the egg just popped into my party and I see it did for other people too so resolved?

The bug has now been fixed. Warnings will appear (as usual) when you try to claim the egg with a full party.
If your egg disappeared before this fix, then it should now be back in your party (which might result in a party with 7 Pokémon, but eh, it's alright. Just move one Pokémon to a box asap.)
