Felix looked down to see what Taro was getting his attention for and saw a bunch of tools for getting in right there, "Wow you were really prepared for this." He picked them up and put them in his bag, "Alright show me where to start."

These guys are cool

Taro's POV

Taro padded off, showing Felix the way. He dug another small hole right underneath the front wall, and went underneath it to the other side. Taro then pushed a button labeled 'OPEN GATES' and let Felix in. He led the way to the office where he last saw Kaori, not expecting it to be empty.

He ran over to another small sticker on the ground. Kaori's scent was stronger, though still faint. Another clue useless. Taro plopped down onto the floor, completely hopeless. Where could she be?

Felix followed behind and saw a sticker just like the one before that Taro was interested in, "Ohhh your following a trail it seems, well lets push onward this one seems more recent than the other one." He walked over to a corner and waited for Taro to lead him further.

Taro's POV

Taro practically cried. His now last hope of finding Kaori- gone. His first hope of finding Kaori- also gone. What was he supposed to do? He curled up into a ball, and stayed in that position, silent and thinking.

He remembered. Athena might be able to track his thoughts and tell him where Kaori was! He thought, loud and hard, thinking Athena? Athena?? ATHENA? If you're there, where's Kaori? I'M SUPER WORRIED TELL ME

Athena's mind prickled as a faint thought nagged at the back of her consciousness. Curious, she brought it up into focus, and smiled. "Take the first alleyway off the the right."

Taro's POV

Taro jumped up, and started cat-walking ~~similar to moonwalking, but as a cat~~. Regaining his composure, he ran off, forgetting about Felix. But he was too excited and worried to go back. Running into the closest alleyway to his right, he ran into the alleyway, only to be scooped up by guards. Scratching and biting them, he broke free, but at what cost?

Kaori woke up, alone. She wondered where Athena and Lucinda was. At first, she was confused about her whereabouts, but as realization dawned upon her, she started worrying. Taro, Athena, Lucinda she thought Are they okay? She sat up, looking around her. She seemed to be inside some fancy, expensive hotel room, and on the fancy expensive bed. Standing up, she transmitted 'Where are you guys?' and waited/

Really? You don't have to... But thanks. You need a break too, you know. Kaori transmitted, her worry decreasing a little. She sat back down, and saw a book on the bed labeled 'HOW TO SURVIVE WITHOUT A CAT'. Disgusted, she inched away from it. She would always need Taro, whether he was to keep her alive or not.

Good, at least Kaori wasn't reckless like Lucinda and insisting on following her everywhere she went. Her momentary relief was quickly dispersed by Taro's thoughts fading a bit more. She urged her footsteps into a run, rushing down the street and turning into the alleyway while drawing her sword.

[Actually, I'm going back to Taro for this post XD]

Taro's POV

Taro wriggled free, and hearing some footsteps, he turned around, seeing Athena. He immediately ran up to her and rubbed his muzzle around her ankles, while growling at the guards. He was overjoyed to see Athena again, as she and Lucinda had been tied as his second favorite ~~obviously his favorite is Kaori~~.

Athena quickly used her free hand to rub Taro's furry head, while raising her sword and charging at the guards. They didn't stand a chance, didn't even have enough time to sound the alarm. No one messed with her friend's cat and got away with it.
