You've been a time traveler for pretty much all your life, travelling through the complicated past and furture of your world for the pure joy of it. Well, most of you anyways. Some meddle with the gentle fabric of time and create quite a large mess, in which another traveler will inevitably fix on their journey one way or another. Anyways, your daily lives suddenly came to a sudden stop when you one day decide to go back in time, only to find yourself in an odd room. The room looks like a casual lobby, chairs placed neatly and a few small tables strewn about, and there is a big screen in front of you. For now, the screen is completely black, but you notice that once other travelers find themselves in the same situation, the room gets slightly dimmer and the screen lights up. By now, you've probably tried to travel back in time to avoid this, but strangely, it failed. Once everyone seems to have arrived, the screen was now showing an overhead view of an unusual world torn to shambles. Strangely enough, though, it looks vaguely familiar... Soon after, your ears perk up at the sound of something much more bold than the mumbles of everyone around you, one that had a tone of urgency and desperation. "Welcome everyone, I am genuinely sorry for the inconvenience, but I have something to request of you. The planet you see on the screen was once a prosperous and lively world, a world almost necessary for anything, anywhere to exist. I hope that by now you understand the importance of what I'm about to ask you, as you're currently the only ones who can save this dying planet. Quite soon, you are going to be transported to a safe-house there and you are tasked with finding the source of the destruction, and you will do so with the special abilities I have given you. Each of you is unique, which will hopefully be enough to face the difficult challenges ahead." The voiced stopped for a second, as if to allow the room to process the request. It was strange that they would just gather all of the time travelers up and send them onto a world that apparently would also decide the fate of their own, as well as take away their ability to roam around time to give them, what, some 'power' they don't even know? "Now, before I send you off, there are a few things I would like to say. I did not intend on disrupting the lives you lived, but the situation at hand could be catastrophic if not handled, and there aren't many other options. Secondly, I unfortunately do not have a guarantee that you will survive, and knowing that, you will naturally want to be excluded from this but I'm afraid you can't that. Again, I am genuinely sorry, but this is what needs to be done. Thank you, and I will hopefully see you again." And with that, everything went black.

Appearance: He is an african-american male, who stands at 5'10 and is a fairly average weight. His body matches his age, but he has more grey hairs than one his age normally would. His hair is a stark contrast between deep black and light grey. He has a short moustache and beard, which matches the hair on the top of his head. He also has light, caramel-brown eyes that are still full of happiness and color dispite his age.
New Ability: Event Manipulation - He can see various different events, whether it be in the past or future, of pretty much any object, as long as he knows what said object looks like. For example, if someone were to die 20 years in the future, he could manipulate it to be a week from today. Another example is if an object was to burn in a fire, he could manipulate the event and cause it to combust right then and there. He has decided to never manipulate anything in a person's fate unless absolutely necessary.
Personality: He is a kind and gentle soul, one that doesn't have a temper and glows with warmth and care. He is also very wise, his experience with time-traveling allowed him to understand a great deal of things. He is mostly quiet and only speaks when he feels necessary, but he always has a soft smile to make up for it. He is quick to react and very patient, unable to be annoyed.
Backstory: From a young age he had always been fascinated with his ability to travel through time, but was never able to use it the way he wanted due to his family. He was always held under a great amount of pressure to do what they wanted, to the point of them treating him like a tool and abusing his power. It got to the point where he hated his skill and refused to use it, in fear of letting them do even more terrible things or he himself doing said things. Once they realized, they kicked him out and he was left with nothing from the age of 15. He somehow managed and grew up to be the father of 2 kids, and a grandfather to 3. He spent a lot of time with his children, as well as his grandchildren and eventually got over his resentment for time-travel.

@hornet - sure, i'll allow characters that aren't human, but i would say they come from a different world like the one mentioned in the plot

New Ability: Spin, Jesse is able to make his nails spin themselves at a high velocity and shoot them like bullets, The nails have incredible cutting power, capable of slicing through rock, cutting limbs clean off, or carving things within seconds. However, they do not possess the power to cut through metal, Once Jesse shoots a fingernail, they take a short time to grow back, Occasionally, Jesse lets the nails stay on his fingers. When he puts the nails against the ground, their rotating movement can rapidly carry Jesse away from his current position (basically gliding on his finger nails. He can also use his nails as short-range cutting weapons. The spinning nails emit a faint buzzing sound, similar to that of a wasp (the spinning ability itself is the quirk and has multiple stages to it, the strongest stage being infinite rotation, and the spin can be used on actual objects and even people, the nails are a preffered method), I hope this is fine
Personality: Polite and generally a chill person, enjoys using sarcasm alot
Backstory: Jesse was constantly switching between different timelines in order to find one where he could save his friend from being killed due to a mistake he made, but not matter how much he tried the result stayed the same, and the actions he did in order to try and save his friend would in turn screw up the timelines

Gender: female
New Ability: Temperature changing. Zynx can modify her body temperature, and sometimes shoot little bursts of fire or ice. She can't control what comes out though, as her bursts depend on her emotions. If Zynx is angry, fire. If she's cool, calm but displeased, ice. If she's basically in danger but she can't feel any emotions, which is rare, she shoots water.
Personality: shy, but rude in danger or simply displeased. she protects others in danger though.
Backstory: Zynx was always curious before, she time-traveled to medieval times to see what life was back then. She got poisoned by the dirty food, and scrabbled away to a different time. This time it was the time of the Romans, and she received a bad cut. Zynx did this a lot of times, getting damage everywhere. She was distracted while trying to return to the present, and screwed up the timelines.

New Ability: Lightning. He can create, manipulate and control black bolts of lightning, and can control the shock output from the lightning. He has gauntlets that he made from tinkering in the past, and he can use the blades that pop out of them like supercharged daggers. He can use his lightning power to also sort of supercharge his body, allowing him to hit harder and run faster. When focusing his lightning into one area, he can melt through wood, rock and even metal.
Appearance: he wears a gray scarf, cut and torn in some places, and a gray sweater. He has two gauntlets that increase his strength and allow him to create a knife or a gun out of tiny nanobots that make up the gauntlets. His pants are dark gray and has black shoes.
Personality: he can be pretty snarky, but is laid-back most of the time, and tries to be the voice of reason in a group.
Backstory: Kendo Sato was a young boy in 22nd century USA, a Japanese-American boy. Fascinated with the past, and by this time, the world had started to say that looking to the past was idiotic, and that nothing good came out of it except for wasted time. He studied and pored through history books for hours at a time, delving deeper and deeper into the books. needless to say, when his time powers first developed, he was very excited. He, along with being a good historian, was a aspiring engineer, and tinkered with things such as cars, robots and occasionally with Nanotech. By the time he was 17, he had built functioning nano-gauntlets, equipped with a blaster, a collapsible dagger and working GPS for any timeline with satellites. He travelled to many places in the past, and recorded many events, but eventually, after 6 years of travelling the timestream, he had gotten weary of people, as they seemed to constantly do one bad thing after the other, and so, he decided to help others do the right thing. A year after that, when he was 24, he found out about other people with his powers, and heard of those who messed up the timeline, so he sought after these peoples and the mistakes and messes they had created, and sought to fix them, working as a guardian to the timeline's balance.

Appearance:
A quaint looking fellow, Gino has short, curled and fluffy locks of russet brown hair that fall over their face, hiding sparkling green eyes and an intelligent gaze. Their chocolate brown skin is covered in white freckles, something that they've given up on bothering to hide. A periwinkle flower crown rests among their hair, and an emerald pendant gifting them the ability of time travel dangles carefully from their neck. A black turtleneck sweater patterned with flowers along the front as if weeds had grown along the shirt covers their upper body, long sleeves protecting slim arms. Long and somewhat torn and frayed navy blue jeans are cuffed just above black shoes that do not look like anything made from modern times. Bracelets barely visible from the long sleeves' covering lace their wrists, and a light makeup covering on their face is barely noticeable. Sharp, elven ears hidden behind their hair are the only other sign of their magical heritage. A long wooden staff tipped with a sharp green blade is tucked away at their side for self-defense, though they rarely pull it out anymore.
New Ability:
Life Force - Gino now may use energy from the world around them to heal others or themself. It takes a lot of energy, however, and depending on how large the wound is it requires much more energy and power to heal. For example, a few simple cuts and bruises or even minor burns can be healed within about 5-10 minutes after the magic is performed, but something as bad as a broken limb or a bullet wound, or something deep and/or incredibly serious takes much more focus and power and a lot more time to heal properly. They cannot bring anyone back from the dead. As of the beginning of the RP, they cannot heal anything as large as mentioned in these examples, and their power will strengthen with time. However, it will never grow to a point in which they can simply heal everything and everyone with no consequence.
Personality:
A quiet soul, Gino tends to only speak when spoken to, and they have only ever spoken their mind. Often blunt at times, Gino can very easily come across as cold and unsympathetic, a trait that comes from a lifetime of others oversimplifying and sugarcoating far too many times. Gino hates being treated as less than or more immature than they are, especially since their smaller height can cause people to believe they are younger than their actual age. However, while they have an icy temper and can find others to be insufferable, they can also be friendly and warm. They never give up, and are willing to meet new people, within reason. Slow to trust and quick to fight, Gino is intuitive and calculating, their mind sharp and their heart strengthened by years of turmoil. They are incredibly loyal, and once they lend their trust to you they will not betray yours, even if you've hurt them. Like a guard dog, Gino protects those closest to them with a fierce loyalty, and prefers to think their way around a problem more often than tackling it with brute force.
Backstory:
Gino comes from 200 years in the past, but not entirely from our universe. This universe is a different world, where magic and creatures of light and dark and everything in between are far more fathomable than here. In Gino's world, they had been chosen for time travel by the Amulet, the very pendant they wear around their neck, years before the war started. A war had been raging in their world for centuries- it got so bad that around 220 years later, the world began to break, and soon, nothing was left but a ruin of the once greatest city in all the land. One day, Gino decides to try and fix their timeline, and travels to the future to see what happens. But, the Amulet breaks during the travel, and they get stuck in the direct aftermath of the war. Finding a blue heeler that they named Arrow, they survive in the wrecked world, trying to find a way to fix the Amulet. It is here that they find Coby, who becomes their partner, and shows them just how important it is to have other people in your life. Together, they are able to fix Gino's pendant, and after a goodbye and a promise to return, Gino makes their first travel in over a decade, landing them in the strange room.

Gino has a special bracelet made by Coby that allows them to speak to him across timelines, in case anything happens, but it has also been damaged and does not work anymore. Still, they hold onto the bracelet as if it were their very lifeline. Their freckles also glow in the dark. This isn't an ability, necessarily, simply something that came with their heritage. After about a year of time traveling, they no longer remember their family, and cannot recall anything from their time after the years they spent in the Fallen World.
