Okay, this is probably a silly idea! But I just thought this would be great to spread positivity, and it could be fun! Basically, you just view someone's profile picture and/or their profile, and you come up with a compliment to give them, whether it be on the aesthetic of their profile picture, their profile, or if they just seem nice, or cool, or smart or any compliment that you can think of for them! Have fun, if you decide to participate!

I really like the idea of this but think it could derail quickly into chaos and negativity :/

How would you propose keeping it on track and positive?

Well, I did really think it speaks for itself, being that you have to compliment the user above you, but I think I could come up with some rules to keep it inoffensive, and maybe lay out some examples of some things you should say and what not to say, such as complimenting someone's profile picture, their personality, their profile aesthetic, their accomplishments in the game, or something else, and it has to be something sincere rather than sarcastic- I do see how that could be a problem, but I'm hoping to enforce some regulations about the compliments might help-

Hello there! Welcome to

"Compliment The User Above You"!

It's exactly what it sounds like- say something nice about the person above you! It can be about their profile picture, their in-game achievements, about them as a person, their profile aesthetic, or anything that comes to mind! Not to take away from the fun, but there are some rules!

* Please, compliment others sincerely! For example, don't say "Wow, your Pokedex is so well-completed!" Why is that statement a problem? Well, say the person they were complimenting didn't have many Pokedex entries at all- that might make them feel bad about the fact they haven't completed much of their Pokedex yet. Another example is just making something sound sarcastic in general-- like- "Your profile picture looks so nice! I just absolutely love it!" (Okay, maybe it's just the italics making that one sound sarcastic, but the point is, please compliment the user above you sincerely!

* An example of a compliment you could give a user could be "Your username is really unique!" or "I love your profile aesthetic, I think it really suits you!"

* All the PH rules apply in this forum thread. Please view them here if you haven't yet!

* Just be kind to everyone, and if you can't think of a compliment to give someone, that's okay! Just wait for someone else to post- the point of the thread is to spread positivity, and to have fun!

You have a ton of interactions in relation with the gametime you spent on PH. I think that's a sign of someone very caring and willing to put in effort to help others! You have nearly 7x the amount I do in that regard.
to be aesthetic or not to be aesthetic that is not a question because I am not aesthetic at all and nor is this signature
