Forum-Index → Fan Clubs → 「➳」Genshin ImpactTaavi: Yep! As common as they may be, leaks are against TOS so I've decided to ban leak talks, so now would be a pretty good time to stop the Raiden skillset discussion.
Hagaru: CONGRATS!! Getting an early 5-star always feels so good.
Here's my ranking:
1. Catalyst
2. Claymore
3. Sword
4. Polearm
5. Bow
Ofc this is from my personal experiences (like Yanfei with catalyst and Razor + Eula with claymores).

1. Sword
2. Bow
3. Polearm
4. Claymore
5. Catalyst
(Exception for Catalyst would be Ningguang and for Claymore would be Diluc, but otherwise I find that the claymore and catalyst users dont work for my style of playing)

I like every character, theyre so pretty and the dev´s put so much time in them, but kit wise I´d have to regretfully say Chongyun. I just cant really work with having my attacks converted to cryo, sorry Icy boy :( (otherwise he´s 100% amazing!)
If I were to improve one or two I´d probably give some more influence in the Story to Xinyan and perhaps Chongyun, because... rock n roll sounds so nice.
Except for the hangout event with Chongyun we didnt have much with him either so he could´ve perhaps been a bit more present in the Liyue story or Hu tao´s story quest perhaps
(After all we had A world quest for Xinqui and Xiangling, so why not our boi Chongyun too)

You can tell that my Zhongli/Chongyun main bias is coming through but I absolutely love polearm for how quick and maneuverable they are. It's a bit annoying on mobile since you can't really dodge or move around quickly so being able to launch myself past enemies with just the charged attack is a life saver. Claymore kind of follows the same logic of "If you can't dodge it, tank it and do as much damage back" lol. I should really build Beidou for those reasons lol
I like Ningguang a lot tho, her playstyle is super fun and that jade screen removes a lot of gripes I have about catalyst users, mainly that projectiles are super hard to dodge on mobile and the long range nature of catalyst users means that you're moving around a lot
I really apologize for this, but I absolutely can not stand Mona. Her character design is amazing and I love the astrological motif on it but man. That outfit. It just looks so uncomfortable and makes me shudder. Like yeah it covers more skin than any other female outfit I think and it matches with her character story but something about it just makes me profoundly uncomfortable.
Also the amount of ass shots in her story quest was. Yikes
Her kit tho is great and I'm so glad that MiHoyo finally fixed her sprint. That would have been another thing I would complain about but praise be to 2.0 for fixing that up
I don't think I would change anything about her though. As a character, her writing is fabulous and her design, while kinda yikes is also super cute. I know a lot of people love her for exactly the reasons why I hate her and I'm content with not ever interacting with her again throughout the game. She's torturing me enough by sitting in the discard unit corner anyway lol
@Zhongli
I do agree totally that Chongyun's kit isn't great even in terms of DPS or support. His multipliers are just lackluster and his support abilities is hard to work with. At least he makes great melt comps for other DPS units like Diluc and Hu Tao who infuse their basic attacks with elements.

1. Sword
2. Catalyst
3. Polearm
4. Bow
5. Claymore
I like swords because they're easy to use, and catalyst users seem so fun to use! I haven't really had the chance to build any polearm characters yet
@~Fahrenheit~
I haven't thought of this question before tbh. Probably Xinyan. We don't have any story quests or anything so maybe it's too early to say.
1. Claymore
2. Polearm
3. Catalyst
4. Sword
5. Bow
The upper two places give me reliable damage and easy distribution (I know Claymores can be for ATK and Polearms for Crit Rate), while the others might have other factors. That and it just feels gud.

I’d definitely pull for her instead of Baal if I liked her character design.
I mean I love her combat style. And that sprint plus burst is absolutely mind blowing.
Plus she’s not a bow user so that’s a huge win.
But I love Ganyu’s design. Not so much Ayaka’s.
Plus Ganyu is definitely stronger.
So still not pulling for Ayaka.
But very very very tempted.
I swear if Baal isn’t a good DPS character I am gonna be very mad. 😭😭

She stole my guaranteed pull for Baal and I won't be using her much since I have a fully built DPS Ganyu.
But it is very arguable. Character design aside, Ganyu and Ayaka both give very similar damage numbers on the same artifacts. Ganyu has the charged attack advantage whereas Ayaka has it for ult.
I'm fairly certain Baal will be a sub DPS.
Ayakas normal attacks don’t do as much damage. But otherwise she’s pretty close to Ganyu.
Plus that sprint infusion of cryo is love honestly. Prefect match for freeze comps and blizzard strayer set.
If only she had a design more ro my liking, 🥲🥲
Or at least comparable to Ganyu.
In design Ganyu is clear winner.

For example, the newly released Kazuha is a sub-DPS/support, where he deals damage with his elemental skill and buffs the team's damage. Xingqiu is a very popular sub-DPS/support for his damage and hydro application, but if you use like a level 1 Xingqiu purely for hydro application he's just a pure support then.

At this point, I don't know if I am unlucky with Ayaka and the others... or just extremely lucky with the infernal lawyer.

You know the first rule in combat? Shoot them before they shoot you.
Somebody save me from inazuma quest ahhhhhh it's so hard 😭😭😭, how to get the blueprint for the Inazuma sword, i need it...
Currently skipping banners - sort of. I'm skipping Ayaka but I'll be trying in Yoimiya's banner .. for Sayu! I'm hoping to pull her before I hit a 5* (since I'm on a 100% guaranteed promoted character I want to save it for a character I really want, I got my eye on a few and I hope they get banners soon
Also, whilst I'm here - I'm looking for Zhongli advice. I main Zhongli, but I'm not an expert on him, he lives in my party and I do use him, I'm aware of his HP scaling, shield, attacks, etc, etc. The thing is, I was like "Yeah, I'll make a HP build! slap HP on every and make Planet befall hit for hard!!" but it turns out, that doesn't work. I'll put this in a spoiler because this'll be long.

I have Level 10 Planet Befall, he's
C1, I stuck the HP 3* weapon on him since I don't have Staff of
Homa and it has HP as a stat, HP artifact set x 2 for the 10%
boost, Geo boost set x 2 for the Geo damage boost since it's Geo
element and his artifact layout was as such;
Feather and flower, the default stuff
HP time piece
Geo boost Goblet
HP head piece
- Some HP sub stats, crit rate and crit damage.
and I saw about 20-50k damage a hit.. which was.. underwhelming. My old build that I just ran with hit harder than that, Blackcliff polearm, x 4 of the HP set, Geo goblet , crit rate on the head piece and I think attack on the time piece and that always hit harder, I saw 80k a lot of time and if I was lucky, I see 90-100k damage. I often run him with a second geo character, usually Albedo.
I do run geo boosts but I often find that it always makes your elemental skills hit harder (I noticed this when I see my Xiao build vs my partners Xiao build and my Anemo damage always hits bigger, which the only different we have is a different golbet, they run att and I run anemo boost) and I thought that would help and when I've taken off my geo boost , I've noticed planet befall hit lower numbers frequently.
So my question is, any advice? I don't know what I'm doing wrong 😅 I think I know about a damage multiplier but it does go over my head a little and I wonder if there's a way to calculate damage too..

I pulled on the kazuha banner only for Rosaria.
Got her to C3 from not having one. So I was pretty happy. But I would have loved to get C6.
So many stupid razors. 😭😭
Anyways. I pulled on Ayaka banner hoping to get Ningguang and get unlucky for the 5* so I don't waste my guarantee.
Good thing I didn't get a 5* so guarantee is safe.
Bad thing is no Ningguang either. Just a lot of Yanfeis.

(Someone tell me how to add that line thing lmao)
As for the Zhongli question. I'm not much of an expert. But if you're using Zhongli as a main DPS. I'd suggest changing the Tenacity of Millelith (the 20% HP set) set for Nobelesse Oblige (20% burst damage set).
2 peice Noblesse (Burst Damage bonus) and 2 peice Archaic Petra (Geo damage Bonus)
As for stats. Flower is confirmed HP so that's a win. Geo damage bonus on the goblet. Crit damage/Crit rate and energy recharge would be good on the rest. As Zhongli isn't that good for energy and most of his damage comes from his burst energy recharge in my opinion is needed.
On substats be sure to add HP, attack percent, crits and energy recharge.
Zhongli Shield is enough to not worry about a lot of HP. Plus he has a lot of HP on his own so the bonus damage should be enough without adding a lot of HP.
So umm I guess that's it. As for the weapon. The black tassle is not bad. (I think its the onw you're using. The HP one.) But I believe there are better options to increase attack cause like I said. He doesn't need that much HP anyways.
This is all my opinion of course and people can disagree.
Also this is because I think you're using him as a burst DPS more then a physical main DPS.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In case of Physical main DPS the sets etc will be different.
Instead of the Nobelesse oblige and Archaic Petra you will be going for a 2 peice Gladiator (18% attack) and 2 peice blood stained chivalry (25% physical damage bonus)
The stats should remain the same but instead of geo damage bonus on the goblet you will be opting for physical damage bonus or attack percent.
I would honestly prefer attack percent cause I think it will also increase the burst damage but I'm not sure. If it doesn't then go for physical.
The best weapon for physical DPS Zhongli is by far the crescent pike. It even overtakes 5* weapons because of the passive and the physical damage bonus.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
In case you're like highly dependent on the Shield or need very high shield strength then for the physical DPS Zhongli a 4 peice retracting bolide is a pretty great option.
A little less damage but 20 something percent better Shield.

I wouldn't mind some Yanfei constellations as I do use her but I'm trying not to pull in the current banner (and I think for the next few), I have my fingers crossed she might be in a future banner that I want to pull in q_q
But not quite? I'm not looking for a DPS since I could use Iron Pike for that plus some phy. damage artifact sets, I'm looking to get his burst attack as high as possible which is my end goal.

I'm not too fussed with his shield
atm, it does hold out for me and that's great (I mean, I rely on it
too much to the point I forget to run heals when I'm not using it
and forget about my health lmao), it is Level 8 in his talents and
it does fine as is so I'm not looking to boost it.
Nosblesse and the geo set wouldn't be such a bad idea I think, since it will boost his burst damage and so will geo boost but I'll have to have a think about that (I need to farm Nosblesse for a couple other of my characters too, rip, it's a good job and I can do that domain with ease now, ugh e__e). I've been running the 4 piece Tenacity of Millelith on him and it's the set I have on him when he does the 80k damage so it'll be interesting to see if it makes a difference for sure.
I don't think I need energy recharge that much if I'm honest, when I set him with Albedo who's running on energy recharge and I have Zhongli at C1, meaning I can put two pillars up at once inside of Albedo's skill which generates damage and partials, because of that, I'm not short on energy partials and often recharge his burst quickly.
The black tassel I was only using to try to see if the HP build boosts the power of my planet befall but that experiment failed, I usually have Blackcliff on him which has crit damage substat and its skill increases his attack (honestly my weapon options are limited and I just like that polearm and it has been working for me more than the black tassel xD).
I have to be that person who does quirky stuff with their
characters uff
But thanks for your input, I'll be considering the artifact switch up.
On a random note, I used to run Zhongli with the Favonius Lance (Spear? .. The polearm variant from the Favonius series) because I had like 3 polearms that were 4* at the time and when I paired him with Albedo like I usually do, the recharge was crazy, both constantly recharged their ult before their cooldowns ended constantly so as soon as the cooldown ended, I was throwing it back out again, it was both insane and fun to use, I miss that xD

I kinda forgot about Albedo 😅😅
Yes with Albedo you wouldn't need that much energy.
So instead of energy recharge try going for ATK % as that's always needed.
Since you're using him as burst. The crescent would not be a good option. I honestly don't know much about spears nor do I have many.
So if blackcliff works then great.
(My only spear user is Rosaria whose running a level 80 r4 Crescent Pike)
But I know the white tassle with its crit rate can be a good option. But people usually prefer the black tassle on Zhongli.
